Had a great experience there today! Leslie's had previously given me a water sample container the last time I stopped in. Brought it in for testing today. They input all my specs, tested the water, and gave me a very detailed report. It explained exactly what it said and what would remedy any issue. It was precise to my gallons, and the products I needed to use, I asked a lot of questions, as I'm trying to master my water care ( and am still learning the ropes ) Excellent service from someone who was knowledgeable and enjoyed doing his job. I went into a store where I usually pay cash sometimes with my debit card but normally just cash. Was told by the clerk that he didn't accept anything but blue $100 bills unhappy with this policy because I don't control what $100 bills the bank gives me. Today I chose to give Leslie's chlorine tabs the benefit of the doubt since I noticed online that their 35 lb bucket was $30 off their regular price. And even though their sales price was still $30 more than Lowe's I thought it might be true that Leslie's product was superior and might last longer. It wasn't until I had gotten into my car however that I noticed the receipt showed the regular price was charged. So I went back into the store and questioned them about the price but was told that I would have to purchase the product online in order to receive the discount. I would have to go home, order online to pick up in their store, return my original purchase then pick up the new online order version. Funny thing, I got on my computer when I got home and yes, it showed the discounted price but when it came to checkout it had returned to normal price. Whatever. Leslies was having this 20% off pumps I was informed by the manager there Joshua great that the variable speeds would save me money in the long run. Got my first bill and didn't believe how much I was able to save. I owe him this review I have to say I didn't believe it would save me so much in electricity cost. They're well-stocked, the employees are personable and patient, and the solutions they provide have worked. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!!!!!! The last few times I have been in the store, I swore, due to the horribly slow and clueless customer service, that I would never step back in the store... Today, June 9, 2019, despite my better judgement, I went in the store for a pool filter cartridge. I was already apprehensive about walking in there because I knew it might take 20-30 minutes to be helped. Just like clock work, I waited in line behind two people who were being helped by two completely lost employees. Watching the two employees fumble around with customers was borderline comical. I should have just walked out. While waiting in line, a new customer stormed into the store proclaiming that she is back to buy 200 lbs more of sand. With that, after a 20 minute wait, I was helped. I was told by the employee that it might take some time to find the correct filter for me and that he was going to help the customer who came in for sand. After 25 minutes of being in the store, I walked out... I didn't wait 20 minutes to let the next person in line skip in front of me because her order was easier. I purchased all of my pool equipment at Leslie's. In between a couple of pool service companies I have purchased a lot of chemicals there as well. I have had difficulty finding a new pool service to replace my pool man who retired. I've been trying to keep up my pool myself. I did a water test and it indicated I had to bring the ph down. I went in last week and told a female employee just that. She grabbed a bucket for me. It was alkaline. I added it and apparently that was the opposite of what I should have put in the pool. I went back to ask for store credit so I could get acid, which is approximately the same price. I was told that because the bucket was empty, no. It was empty because the employee told me to put it in my pool. The employee I spoke to literally compared it to eating all of a restaurant meal and asking for a refund. So basically, if their employee sells you the incorrect product which makes your pool WORSE, it is not their problem, it is yours. I have spent a lot of money there, but won't spend another red cent. read more

I created yelp just to say this... I was greeted, it was a regular shopping experience. Then THIS happened. I watched the young man and I don't remember his name but his tag said manager get berated by this woman who wasn't getting exactly what she wanted, when he was trying to do exactly that! It sounded like she was mad that she read the wrong price sign for a different item than she wanted, and wanted over 75% off of the item because she misread the price. The manager did absolutely everything he could to make her happy including getting her the price she wanted, and yet she sat there holding up the line, berating him and asking for phone numbers to call and complain! ABOUT WHAT? You got what you wanted, you got it at over 75% off, the manager did as you asked even though you didn't deserve it, but you want to complain? WHY! Young man, if your company gives you grief from a customer like that I will offer you a job at my place of employment. Just know you were seen, and I've never seen better customer service. Went to Leslie's for a new pool float. Found a decent one and bought it. I like Leslies, but i do not like the prices. Seems a bit high to me. Costco gets in some really nice pool floats for about half the price but only around summer time. My dog cannot wait till summer. Today my husband purchased pool chemicals but did not get the "preferred customer" 35% off coupon because, due to a problem with their computer, his name was no longer in their database. Because he had already been in line for quite a while he went ahead and made his purchase, but he will not be back. Also, that store seriously needs some ventilation! Do Not purchase products for a Pebble Tec pool from Leslie's. Their lack of knowledge is more than disappointing. They sold us Power Powder Plus to super chlorinate our pool to help with algae. This product should NOT be recommended to people with Pebble Tec pools because it does not dissolve quickly. It will stain and bleach your pool. Focus on better training of your employees!!! Beware! Beware of up selling at Leslie's. I was told that my pool had a very high level of phosphorous and that this would promote excessive growth of algae. I researched this situation and found that this is not true. Phosphorus levels must be in excess of 1,000 to cause problems. This is not the case in my pool. My impression is that Leslie's objective is to push chemicals you actually don't need. Their business plan appears similar to Jiffy Lube's in which unneeded items are aggressively promoted to the individual customer. read more

We took in a pool cleaner almost a month ago to have some repairs done on it. After a week of not hearing from them we went in. We were told they needed to order a part. Another week goes by with no phone call. We show up again....no part....said it wasn't ordered. Said they would take a part off another they had there and to come back in an hour. Had to work so went in a day later.....STILL IN FREAKING PARTS IN A BOX. We just went back today ( a week later)...yep still in freaking parts.
