Beware of using the website to INQUIRE about scheduling service. Computer replied no appointment available. Leslie's numerous calls and no-reply emails where eventually blocked. I did the work myself. I was surprised a tech showed up and sat outside for 30 minutes while corporate left messages. I was in a meeting. I subsequently learned Leslie's policy is to automatically book a service call for ALL online inquires, even when the computer indicates none are available. An appointment is an agreed upon date and time. Very scary that a company can stalk you just by making an inquiry. Reminds me of the Jerky Boys prank calls for an auto mechanic job. The person declined the cold call for a job. The Jerky Boys responded, "I dont care what you say, I'm showing up with my tool box". read more

This use to be my go to place for pool supplies. Running in today to get chlorine they're out. I can understand the fact they're out but I didn't have to get the run around to find out why. And when will you be getting some more in. The cashier was just rude and blah. I can't stand rude customer service. I can take that products out I understand. It's how you present it to the customer. DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE of Googling how to maintain your pool or the even BIGGER mistake of just going to a place like Wal-Mart to get some pool cleaner. You MUST go to a place like Leslie's Pro to get all the information and education you need to keep your pool up and running for the summer (and possibly beyond). Seriously, I came in here knowing nothing about pools; however, the manager on shift cheerfully asked me a few questions about by pool type, size, etc. She then recommended what I needed to get started, what I needed to keep the pool clean and maintained, and what I needed to do every so often to ensure my kids had a good, clean environment to swim in. Best part? Even after all her recommendations, my bill only came out to about $100. That's NOTHING to keep the kids happy all summer (yes, I will have to repurchase some supplies throughout the summer, but still). General manager, Sandra, was extremely rude and hostile to any questions. Felt like her only concern was pushing water testing to sell more products. Experience was the opposite of helpful, and I was very uncomfortable with how weirdly confrontational she was. Quickly bought what we needed and left. Sadly, this is the 2nd time that I go to this location where they do not honor their store hours. I showed up at 5:20pm (they close at 6pm) on a Saturday this last time and the gentlemen at the counter signaled that they are closed. Lousy way to run a business with employees who have no integrity. Lost a big sale and a customer. Called the Alta Loma site and they fortunately honor their hours. Good customer service means meeting expectations- but excellent customer service means exceeding them and this store is definitely willing to go above and beyond for their customers. I'm on the hunt for a basketball hoop for our pool party. I live in Alta Loma and was willing to drive here and here's why.... The local store was sold out and they wouldn't sell the display. I called around to the other rancho location and they had already sold their display. I called this location and they were ready to sell the display, no problem. They even placed me on hold and called the Alta Loma location to ask why they wouldn't sell it...I was blown away by that because it was going to save me a drive. Alta Loma was firm on not selling it for whatever reason. So glad I made the drive! I arrive at this lovely Montclair location and the staff was so helpful and honest. They were willing to sell it but didn't have the complete set. I was ready to buy it but when they mentioned that Chino location has 7 in stock. I would prefer to buy the complete set, but was questioning the drive...the manager said I'll go ahead and pick it up for you! At first I said no but I could tell he had no issue taking the drive so that I wouldn't have too. It's like he knew my gas light was on lol. David was our technician for both a heater install and a new pump install. What a great and professional technician he is. Incredibly helpful and great installation. Informative and thorough. We purchased the equipment from the Riverside, Central Avenue store. And their customer service was hit and miss. But David our technician who came from Ontario was fantastic. I was so impressed with the knowledge, the helpfulness and John giving his personal touch. Now I will do business at his store in Ontario, CA and I am traveling from Diamond Bar. Unfortunately a week later the pool float was defective. I called and they allowed to me return it no problem , I didn't even have my receipt. Very pleasant experience ! Went into Leslie's yesterday with a sample of my spa water and John tested it for me, gave me a printout of the results and went over that with me and then recommended a couple products to use. He spent quite a bit of time with me and I ended up buying the spa bundle which was not that expensive and discounted because it was a bundle, and my spa has never looked better. John knows what he's talking about and he's a really nice guy. Go in and ask for him and he'll steer you in the right direction for your pool or spa. I will go back to this location. I was referred to John at this store #131 because after several attempts to repair my Hayward Pool Vacuum at the store in Glendora they gave up and sent me to their repair guru. While there John said he could repair it while I waited. Because I had already been charged for the services at the Glendora location John repaired for FREE! I felt very welcomed and convinced John and Kayla are my go to in the future even though they are out of my way by 28 miles round trip. I highly recommend John to repair your Hayward Vacuum it is now working as good as new! read more

Awesome! I have been coming to this location for all the necessary items to maintain my pool because I have always been happy about the customer service. The last time I came here I had basically run out of all my supplies and I had DE filters that needed replacement. I was really happy with the service that John provided me that day. He understood the financial toll all my purchases would put on me so he worked with me and found a solution that allowed me to maintain my pool in an affordable way and set up a plan for future replacements, etc. On top of that, he stayed a bit past closing (due to New Year's the store closed at 3, unbeknownst to me) and attached the replacement DE filters so I wouldn't have to wait 2 days to pump my pool. I ask a question nicely about their chlorine bucket, "what's the difference between powder and another solid cube basket", she reply with impatience voice,"Err...one is powder and one is cube". wtf, yes I can read that too. Usually I choose a place based on location. This the closest pool place to my house, boy did I learn my lesson. In less then a year this place has had 3 "managers." I purchased a pool cleaner from them well over a $1,000. 2 years later it broke. Took it in to have it fixed and suring their management turnover they kept the machine for 6 months and when I went in they said they were about to throw it away since nothing in the back had been labeled properly. Unprofessional and they never return calls. Everything they sell is way more expensive than other places. They wanted to charge me $600 to fix my cleaner however the same cleaner new is $850??? The employees said the cleaner is known to suck (pun intended) however they push on selling it probably because of incentives they get. Any new pool owners or veteran pool owners I recommend going to pool supply unlimited. slightly farther but the savings are worth it. read more
