The Val Vista & Is Warner store is one we will absolutely NEVER be giving our business again! We've made plenty of complaints regarding lack of products we need. It seems you would rather blow off reliable and continuous clients to cover your butt. You have a girl there who works, with her unemployed partner in the back of the store (which is a hazard) and not to mention....I thought you had a professional look. We'll......someone who gives a crap how they want to run their store. Blu really should be wearing a proper uniform, NOT shorter than short and tighter than tight shorts! It's NOT a good look. Also, she comes in with extremely nasty looking hickies every day!! Please teach her how to be professional and wear proper clothing during work hours. I went in to get my water tested ...saw the same guy I've dealt with before on previous visits ...except this time it was different he was smiling and enjoying helping this fine young lady . I was thinking damn this guy is reborn anew ! I was just waiting my turn waiting for him to get done with flirty time . When the lady left he went back to whatever he was doing and so I approached him for help ...his demeanor has changed by now to the same disgraceful attitude I have come to know and familiar with . I don't mind paying the mark up prices but I will not tolerate attitude and poor customer service ...I can take my hard earned dollars elsewhere . I've dealt with this guy before and his piss poor attitude and his lack of motivation to be helpful . I want to know who hired this guy ? I wouldn't hire this guy to man an empty desk in a dark basement . Location is convenient since is down the road from my house but I'd rather waste the gas and time to go somewhere else that would at least meet me half way . For the most part, the employees at this store have always seemed at least somewhat competent and helpful... Until today. Philip was by far the worst person I have ever dealt with at the store. Too busy on a personal phone call to help, I guess. Talking so loudly on his phone call, he let everyone know that he gets $17 an hour. He checked my water, then walked away to take a personal phone call, too busy to even give me the paper off the printer, let alone let me know what I need to add to my pool water and sell me any products. Seems like he's trying NOT to help the customers. Worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. I ended up just leaving the store to let him finish his personal phone call which was obviously more important to him than helping a customer. Not sure if he even noticed that we left. ‍ read more

I want to take a moment and highly recommend this shop. Patrick is one of the nicest Managers I have met out here in Arizona in the past 20 years. He along with Scott Grindle (Mgr at Warner/ Val Vista) . I feel lucky living in between the two best shops in the Leslie chain. I caught word that Chlorine tabs were in short supply (Another TP Crisis?) So I went right over to Scott's store, who directed me to Patrick's store for the larger bucket of Tabs. I grew up with my mom going to Leslie's pool supply and getting stuff for our pool. Now I have a house and pool and can't really see going anywhere else. They can be very helpful with guidance about fixing your problems and helping you find pool maintenance people. We were just annoyed when we first started taking care of our pool and visited 3 or 4 times and they kept asking for our phone number for a loyalty account and kept saying our number wasn't in the system and we had no points from previous purchases! They finally have it down now though. read more

Strongly recommend avoiding this company!! Horrible service and experience. Purchased a part after noticing the price was extremely high did some shopping around and found the part for half the cost else where return the part not 10 minutes later. Their system apparently had an issue and did not process the refund now a month later I am STILL waiting for my refund!!! Corporate office is stating to give it 2 more weeks!! I have call weekly, given incorrect information has to chase them down to get answer! read more

Took in my 2 hp pool pump that was leaking and needed a new pump seal, they installed the new seal and called me a few hrs later, i picked it up, took it home, reinstalled it and no more leak. Great job . And great service. read more

I'm very lucky to live near this store. Scott and Patrick (I think) are like pool demi-gods. They've been great to work with and their wealth of knowledge is astounding. Hold up a part, a broken part or a piece of a broken part or give them a bad description of it and they know exactly where that is in the store or where to get it if they don't have it. The best part is watching when they are surrounded by customers asking questions about their different pools, one after the other, all at the same time, back and forth while never missing a beat (or looking at the subway sammich that was procured but not eaten 2 hours earlier). First off, let me say that I always shop at Sun Devil Pools, and this is why. My normal pool store was closed today so I stopped into Leslie's to pick up something. I never shop at Leslie's because they always try to sell me something I don't need and every time you ask a question you get a sales pitch in return. Their prices are higher than other pool stores in the area too. I found what I needed and approached the cashier. I was friendly and tried to make small talk, only to be abruptly cut off by the clerk, a middle aged man with gray shaggy hair and a matching beard, telling me my total. He made no acknowledgement of my small talk and stared at me waiting for me to pay, no smile, nothing. I paid and he handed me my receipt, never thanking me for my business or wishing me a good day. What is it with these Leslie Pool guys? It doesn't matter which one I go to, they're all nasty and crabby. They act like I'm a nuisance going in there to ask questions abiut, get this, my pool! Walked in... Went over by the "service area", some old white haired (not the tall one, the shorter. The taller one was being awesome and helping a lady out) dude with a southern drawl asked if he could help me, I told him that I wanted my Hayward cleaner rebuilt, he informed me that there was one service ahead of me and "people milling about the store" and he could "maybe get to it today". Then I heard him take a phone call, he was flat rude and told the person "I can't see the website, I can't tell you if we carry what they are showing you or not". Rude... I walked out. Please give these store back to Shasta Pool so we can get prompt courteous service like we used to. Guess you don't need my Hayward repair, new hose, and gasket sale, I'll take my $300 somewhere else. read more

Wow, if it wasn't for the fact that Leslie's picked up the warranty on my pool I would never, ever go in here again. They have always been jerks at this store (I've gone here for warranty stuff since it opened about 17 years ago.) They have a proud tradition of being rude and indifferent, but today takes the cake. I went in for a warranty part and the good ol' boy behind the counter says "I'm not warrantying that." Nothing like 'Hi, how can I help you' or 'what can I do for you today,' nope just straight to rude. Then he says "Look, I'm not trying to be rude, but that's a cut and glue part." First and foremost, he wasn't even trying to be rude...it just came to him naturally. Second, cut and glue doesn't mean a thing to me. I had replaced it before some years ago by bringing it in and exchanging it. Nothing about gluing or cutting. Bottom line is, if you don't mind being treated rudely by somebody who could care less, then this is the place for you. read more

I will not use Leslie's again. I visited a Leslie's on Val Vista and Warner in Gilbert because after 12 yrs I needed some pool repairs. I explained to them that I needed a new pool/spa heater for a system with AquaLink controls and even priced out a replacement control board. A site survey visit was arranged where the technician looked at the equipment from a distance. I received a quote for replacement of heater and also for several other items. (Pump and motor). About 1 week later Leslie's tech came to do the work. Not happy with the results. The pool heater does not completely interface with the AquaLink control system. In fact it was not even connected to the controller. The wires were left hanging by the new heater. The heater was not adjusted for water flow and would not work with the spa. The gas hook-up was on the other side of the heater from where the main line is located. Leslie's solution was to use about 15 small pieces of pipe and fittings to run a line in front of the new heater. When they replaced the pump they re-used the old existing pipe which resulted in a leak. Obvious that they did not even run the system to check for leaks. I found it as soon as I turned the system on. To make things worse, I called the store to tell them about the problems. The girl I talked to did not seem interested. That day after work there was a message on the answering machine from Leslie's Service department. They said the technician would be back the following day to replace a relay so the system would work. You may be asking "What relay?". This has nothing to do with the problems I have. I called the service department to once again explain the issues. Again the person I talked to did not seem interested but said all of the information was in the system. I did explain that a bad relay noted by the technician had already been replaced but that the system would not work because the heater was not even connected. The next day arrives as does the technician at 5Pm with a relay in his hand. He is ready to replace a relay and knows nothing about the complaints I have. My wife called to tell me the news and I left work a little early to come home to work with the technician to make the fixes. Fortunately I left notes on the equipment explaining the problems so I thought some of the problems would be corrected when I got home. Not the case, the technician fixed the leak but left the heater problems as is. He told the wife that a heater for my control unit would cost an additional $2k. He waited a few minutes but did not stick around for 10 minutes to give me time to get home. I had already checked on-line and found the original heater I had for the control unit. It was actually $100 more not $2k. By the way, the AquaLink control board I got a quote on.....I purchased online for 50% less than quote from Leslie's. I have adjusted the heater to work with the Spa but control board connection and gas piping issues remain. So much for having "professionals'" do the work. 5/16 Update: Got a call from Leslie's to see if the installation was okay. I informed the person about all of the remaining issues. He said they would be out today 5/17 to correct the remaining problems. In fact the head guy from the service team would take care of it. Just took a look, nothing done, No phone call, no notes on the door, nothing! I also now have a leak between the motor and new pump they installed. Not improving my impressions of their service or quality of work. read more
