Both the staff and district manager at this location were unhelpful in resolving an ordering issue. I ordered a $1600 pool cleaning robot for same day delivery after seeing that option available on the Leslie's Pool website. I selected Davis, and what could have been the start of a great relationship with a local business quickly became a disappointment due to their disinterest in helping resolve a Leslie's end error. Unfortunately the staff and the district manager made it very apparent they could not be bothered with me and tried to pass the buck for the Leslie's error telling me to call Uber, who of course insisted it was a Leslie's error. Uber thankfully told me to call Leslie's Corporate although I had to find that number on my own. Leslie's Corporate confirmed I entered the correct delivery address as screenshots and an invoice show (and as I had explained) and is working to resolve the problem and get me my apparently no longer arriving same day product... Even sending me to Leslie's corporate and a general knowledge of what was going on and some empathy from the local staff could have resolved the issue that morning instead of in the afternoon after a day spent chasing around a $1600 item, mostly for the benefit of Leslie's or Uber; one of whom was going to have to eat the cost with AMEX if they didn't get it back. Regardless of whose fault it was I will not be visiting Leslie's in Davis or getting a quote for pool service from them. I want to work with businesses that go out of their way to help customers, especially when the error is due to their brand. read more

We have a Polaris Robotic Sweeper that stopped working wile under warranty. It was purchased at Leslie's in Vacaville. We attempted to have it serviced at the Vacaville location but the manager was short with us and would not allow us to leave it to be serviced. We contacted Leslie's main office and they suggest we try their store in Davis. We drove to Davis and spoke with the store manager, Paula. Paula was great! She took the time to listen about the sweeper and how it wasn't operating. Paula explained that 1) they would be more than happy to take the sweeper and repair it. 2) Paula also let us know that Polaris is backlogged and slow shipping parts out. 3) Paula said she our keep us updated on the sweeper. Paula called us weekly to update us on what was actually wrong with the sweeper and that the parts had been ordered. Approximately 3 weeks later Paula called and said the motor has been replaced, they also wanted to replace the cord but that had not come in yet. Paula said if wanted to pick up the sweeper we could and they would notify us when the cord came in. We picked up the sweeper and approximately a week later Paula called us again. This time she said the sweeper cord still hadn't came in BUT we were getting a new sweeper to replace the one that was under warranty. I can't say enough good things about Paula and the Davis, Leslie's Pool Supply. I have no doubt that Paula's tenacity and Pierre's, the District Manager's concern for taking care of customers was what led to this positive outcome. We definitely would say that if you live in Vacaville it s we'll worth the drive to Leslie's in Davis. We will be spending our money at Leslie's in Davis. Joey who is the assistant manager provided more help and support on my 2 visits today than I have ever received at this location. I bought a pool vacuum from the Leslie's in Vacaville just shy of 2 years ago. 1 year ago I took it to the Vacaville location to get fixed under warranty. The parts were back ordered and it took 3-4 weeks to finally get back. The vacuum just stopped working again, so this time I took to the Davis location and Rebecca was working. She was very polite and kind and felt confident that she was able to address the issue and have it ready to go in just a few working days. Not only did she fulfill her promise, she also went out of her way to drive to the Folsom location to pick up a part that was needed to make sure it was done by the time frame she had told me. She went above and beyond and the whole time was very nice. I truly appreciate her more than she can understand. I have had terrible experiences with the pool shop in Vacaville ... Spent hundreds of dollars trying to fix my pool vacs(only to find them still broken when I brought them home to test) The manager here is awesome in Davis ! She clearly is a professional in her field and provides awesome customer service! She asked us to bring our pool vac in...looked at them on the spot and tightened up a loose casing the pool vac works like new!! She didn't charge us for this service and she is fixing our new vac under warranty and charging minimal amount for new treads!! I highly recommend them. Extrememely expensive. We needed a product to remove phosphates--I found it for almost half the price on-line. I have bought emergency items there, mostly chlorine. I check their prices for other chemicals, and they are always much more expensive than other places. Also, they tried to talk me into to a whole new filter system. This is the most unprofessional place of business. They sold us $250 worth of useless chemicals to treat our pool. I went to return the chemicals the employee told us we needed to fix the problem. If not a cash refund than a store credit would have been just fine. The person behind the counter was extremely rude and condescending. The person in the store was very professional and helped me finding out, what was the exact product name and number. She printed the pages for replacement parts out for me also for future problems. The item was not in the store, but by searching other stores in the area, she found stores, which were listed to probably have the item and to confirm contacted them. They totally messed up my pool recommending treatments that caused me to have to take additional time consuming measures to correct their WRONG assessment and solution which made things worse. Now my pool has the proper balance back again. I went back to my standard place "DAVIS HOME TRENDS" (where I always had gone) and they helped me understand what ACTUALLY needed to be addressed. I was told Leslie Pool went in the wrong direction due to mis diagosing and what to address first. Leslie Pool did not address the most critical issues first. MY POOL IS GREAT and healthy NOW. Watch out for this business. I bought a patio umbrella. I was told the credit card machine was not working and they had to hand fill out the information to post to my credit card. They double charged me. Two days later corporate headquarters reversed the charge. In the meantime, somebody at the store used my credit card number to purchase pool supplies from this business. I don't have a pool and do not know anyone who does. When I called the store about the bogus charges, they told me to call corporate headquarters. Corporate gave me the run-around and essentially told me to go pound sand and call my bank. Unfortunately, that means the bank has had to reissue the card, I am without a credit card for several days until the new one arrives. I also get to enjoy all the associated hassle of changing all my on-line accounts to reflect the new credit card number. So either someone at the store is a thief or they are being mighty careless with customer credit card information. I will never return to this store. read more
