Leslie's sold me defective Polaris bag. It happens. No big deal. I took it back today, not wanting a refund, but rather an exchange for one that works. It's very clearly a manufacturer defect. The problem is that David the store manager is the ONLY personal who can exchange the $50 bag for another and he only works certain days of the week as he hasn't empowered his asst manager or any other employee to take care of their clients. The assistant manager was nice and wanted to be helpful, but he didn't have the authority. I've given them my business for 10 years, but that ended today. read more

Do not give this Leslie's your business. The guy with the pony tail made me and my wife feel extremely unwelcome and uncomfortable as though we were putting him out trying to get basic customer service. At first he said they could fix the wheel on our vacuum but then the older gentleman said they couldn't because there were "too many things" needed. They told us they would have to hold on to it until Tuesday. I agreed and then asked for the results for my water test. The long hair guy with the glasses acted like he was being unfairly inconvenienced when all I asked from him was a water test. He was rude, condescending, and impatient. I was shocked at how horrible that experience was. I gave him my ID to aid him with the spelling of my name. He snapped "I don't need your ID". Well apparently he did because when I reminded HIM that I need to fill out a ticket for leaving my vacuum, he misspelled both my first and last name on the ticket. I gave him my ID again because he clearly needs help with spelling. While filling out my ticket, I could hear the older gentleman say "I knew this would be a beating". Not sure if that was meant for me, but I don't think customers should hear that from who I assume is the manager. After leaving, I went back in and asked for my vacuum back, prompting the older gentleman to ask me if I found someone that could get to it sooner. I told him "no, I'm just disappointed with the service provided and will not do business with your store", he said absolutely nothing in return. Do not do business here. That was a pathetically horrible experience. Imagine making a customer feel like they should apologize for offering your company their business. This location needs an overhaul. We just moved to the area and this would have been our go-to pool store. Definitely not any more, and I'm going to make sure everyone I know in the area looks into Pinch-a-Penny or literally ANYWHERE else. read more

Came in to ask about the services and water testing they offer. No one greeted me when I came in, I had to look around and finally ask the two guys that kept ignoring me and talking about random things. 'Vincent' is awful, condescending, rude and stares you down. 'Ethan' is not far behind. You have to pull words out of their mouth. They made me feel very comfortable. I recommend avoiding this location, coming here is a complete waste of time. Worst possible repair service. We talked to their store team, properly determined the problem, and scheduled the repair. They were very busy, so we had to wait 5 weeks. We called their repair call center twice in advance to confirm that the repair person knew we had the sand medium (they were out of stock), but they needed to bring a new gauge and replacement laterals. Repair person shows up without the courtesy of a heads up that he's on the way - doesn't have the laterals with him. Can't do any part of the repair without them. Makes us feel bad about it, like we were supposed to know better. We get the all-too-common interruptions and condescending tone. He doesn't measure anything, open anything, and barely looks at it, but somehow assess we need to buy and install a new filter and then charges us $100 for even coming by. We call the store and they are fully out of stock on laterals (and have been for a while) and they won't do the repair with ones we can get tomorrow on Amazon. So it's not like that was even an option! So after five weeks, we got zero help, lost $100, and own a ton of sand we can't return. Unbelievable. read more

Do not purchase their Jacuzzi brand filtration system. Had to have ours replaced after hard freeze in 2021. Pool company went with Jacuzzi saying how good a system and warranty it was. Bottom of filter now has cracked that runs along seam. Called about warranty as was told it was for 2 years only. Missed it by 3 months. Purchased the JVX160 pool pump less than 5 years ago and I have had issues every since (VERY BAD DECISION). on 3/5/2024 contacted Leslie's to have a service person come out to repair the pump again because it is leaking and had to turn the pump off. The sent out Eric, who looked at the pump and said the seal (part# 40678) needed to be replaced and it was NOT under warranty. He needed to order the part, ok rescheduled for 3/12, got a call from dispatcher stating that Eric was hurt and that they would have to re-schedule another time/day and another technician. Keep in mind, our pool has not been running due to the leak. Finally got a date/time of 3/15 they sent out Ivan who does NOT have any clue what is going on with the pool and says that NOW the pump needs a propeller (part#677742) and we can order it on Amazon and when it is in we can scheduled for someone to install it. My STRONG advise, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER purchase, go to, or request ANYTHING from Leslie's Pool. You get bad equipment, faulty warranty and just plan out BAD service!!!!! read more

Yesterday was our first trip to a Leslie's ever and it was great! We brought our Lab with us and the staff loved him. We were greeted immediately and given comparison info on the product we were looking for. The staff went out of their way to tell us about the new app they have and if we download it, we get $10 off our purchase, so of course we downloaded it. Not very happy with my last experience with Leslie. I took my pool cleaner hose in for replacement with a replacement hose I had. More than willing to pay for the labor to duplicate the size, connections, and length of the exact same that I brought in. I called later and was told they can't do anything without a service call to the house to measure. What the heck, they had the hose and all the measurements. I would have asked for a price match, but after the staff ignored me standing at the register for 5 minutes, they responded that the register had gone down, and would take 20 mins to restart - "this happens all the time." First Leslie's Pool Supply I've had a great experience in! Thank you to the Store Manager and super-nice lady who helped me. Store was busy and another customer skipped in front of me in line, (kinda my fault for looking at items by the counter,. But really dude?).. But the nice woman rang me up for my two floats while testing his water. No diving.... Leslie's has always been very helpful and responsive, as they should be. The biggest nit I have is the absolutely over-priced 'parts n' stuff' that are mostly cheap plastic. The thinking must be, if you've got a pool, you have a ton of discretionary income to throw (almost litreally) into it. They are open 7 days, as stuff usually breaks on Sunday, so that is extremely helpful. read more

Do not waste your time with this store. Their whole operation is to sell you chemicals and that's it. I am a first time pool owner who knew nothing about taking care of a pool. The one I inherited was covered in green water and algae. The lady who helped me is about the rudest employee I've ever run across. The whole time she's trying to "help" me she keeps telling me to make sure I read the directions, "because men don't take instructions well or listen". Are you serious? BTW, you can get almost every chemical you need to maintain your pool from hardware stores and 1/5 the price. Do yourself a favor, don't go there unless you need a pool noodle or float device. I am not a huge fan of Leslie's but I also look at reviews somewhat as a comparison to what else is out there and I don't really have a better option to recommend. As far as knick knack specialized pieces of a sweeper system or something like that, I have had luck online shopping and with chemicals you can get them at Sams, Home Depot or Walmart cheaper, but for the wide mix of other pool related items they are a good place to go. Besides totally incompetent chemical testing, they won't stand behind products they sell. I tried to return a skimmer purchased a week ago and despite their POS system, they couldn't locate it so they refused my return. Needless to say, there are better and less expensive options. The people in the store are great. Use someone else for service. I waited more than a week for an appointment for pool school and they gave me a 4 hour window. Sometime between noon and 5pm. At 4:30 I finally called and found out they aren't going to make it today and they can't make it tomorrow because they are too booked. So it's going to be next week. I will not be calling them for the rails and other modifications I need on the pool. Oh, and customer no service hung up on me when she ran out of answers. Definitely a thumbs down. read more

Most of the staff there is knowledgeable and they've always provided me with good customer service but their products are way over priced. I compared their prices for items such as chlorine tablets, shock and Pool Blaster products to prices you would find on Amazon and there was a huge difference. I thought this information needed to be shared. I stopped by the Leslie's store today (Sunday May 1 2016) at walnut hill and 75 in Dallas. The store hours are posted that closing is at 5:00pm. It was 4:55, I walked up to the store as I could see a guy knocking on the door. The man working let him in and immediately shut and locked the door. So I proceeded to knock on the door so I could go inside and make my purchase, knowing it was before 5 o'clock ( which was posted closing time I had 5 minutes to make my quick purchase). Not only was I upset that the door was locked prior to closing time,the guy working came to the door after I knocked, he unlocked and cracked the door open, barking "what do you need?!" I responded that I needed to purchase shock and he told me I needed to make it quick because the store was already closed, I mentioned to him that it was not 5 o clock yet and was giving the response to " make it fast I'm trying to close". When I got into the store there were 2-3 other customers in the store either looking at supplies or checking out. I believe it is illegal to lock the front door to a store not only before closing time, especially with customers still inside due to a fire hazard but he relocked the door behind me. Once I found the shock I needed (with absolutely no help from the two employees in the store ) I went to check out. The same man who gave me a hard time trying to come into the store checked me out, he tried to play nice and tell me to have a good day and give me suggestions on how much shock I need based off pool size but it was a little too late to be nice. I am absolutely shocked that this employee ( who was in his mid 50s-60s) would treat a customer as he treated me. I don't know if this is Leslie's policy but something that needs to be addressed. I will not stop into this store again and will tell anyone to avoid it at all cost because of how the employee ( could have been a manager or owner I have no idea) made me, and other customers shopping inside, feel. Over priced, never staffed for the volume of customers. Went in to buy two skimmers and bag of salt. Waited 25 minutes to check out while the one guy on duty tested 4 customers water, gave consulting about pool maintenance and then checked them out.
