Ricky was helpful and knowledgeable. I have over 20 years of restaurant, hospitality and customer service experience. Been coming here off and on for over 10 years. I've read all of the negative reviews but I feel that most of them aren't the associates fault. I agree that most of the time there is only one associate working. The customers that arrive have specific questions and need specific answers which take some time. 1 on 1 no problem. Ricky was awesome and honest. But if 1 on 5+ then I can see where customers can be impatient. I'm sure the associate will acknowledge and greet all the customers but it's just tough with a bunch of needy customers plus the phones ringing (more specific questions to answer). Plus a pool store ain't actually a place I want to spend too much time in so I can see how customers get frustrated. If the company can afford another employee on weekends then that would be helpful. I'd give this place 5's but the the part I needed costed too much. Other than that I was satisfied with the service and will be back. Also... I believe there are many Leslie customers that have gotten great service but didn't post any positive reviews. Give these guys a break. They're trying best. read more

I came in to buy a net for the pool and someone who came in at the same time started talking to the other customer for minutes talking about a product while I waited at the cash register. As I was ready and in a bit of hurry and there was no other people, I asked politely if I can check out. He said "I am with another customer". HELLO....PAYING CUSTOMER WANTS TO CHECK OUT. I called asking for a jacuzzi cleaner. Our manual one broke and we decided to buy an battery version. John was super nice and knowledgeable. He recommended the Jacuzzi JPV200 rechargeable. John was very genuine and always provided useful information regarding cleaners, tablets and pump equipment. Even knew about the CA laws for regarding pool requirements. Went home and tried the JPV 200. It worked flawlessly. Easy to charge with a lithium battery. This Leslie's location (Katella street /Knott street) will now be our one stop place for all of our pool needs. Keep up the excellent work!! read more

I really hate that I have to give this place a bad review. In March my husband and I decided we wanted to get a pool for the summer, we have a new baby and want to get him in the water. I went to Leslie's 3/28/21 and was pleased to find out they had everything I wanted. The salesman placed my order right there in store. The order was for a 15 ft above ground pool, skimmer, ladder, and sand pump. I was told it would ship in about 5-7 days. About a week later I started getting everything in, but no pool. Come to find out the pool was on backorder! So now I have huge boxes of pool supplies and no pool in sight. I have called numerous times and all I'm told is that the pool is on back order and they have no idea when the manufacturer will be sending more. I've talked to mangers and they have been zero help. They don't even know if I will get the pool this year. I'm not upset that it's backordered, I'm upset that they let me put an order in for a backorder and never told me. Very disappointed and dissatisfied with their customer service. I was somewhat helped by John and mod sentence left me for another customer. As rude as it was the least he could of done was told us to hold on since he didn't tell the other customer to hold on. They carried on to their conversation and completely left us speechless. Recently purchased a house with a pool and had no idea how to maintain it, I came to Leslie's to find a vacuum the workers there were very helpful and answering all my questions they also provide free water testing and gave me a bottle to fill pool water in it. Well I was here somewhere between 15 and 20 minutes from closing not a soul other than the clerk in the store. I came to get some advice on my pool water quality and needed a test to help understand what's going on since I knew the pool ownership however as soon as I walk through the door I was promptly notify them that they stop testing water 20 minutes to closing. I can see how this is a big problem since they were so busy. I spent less than 10 seconds in the store. The whole time I write this review in the parking lot the clerks to behind the counter in the middle of the store nonchalantly looking out the windows not doing anything productive don't know why you cannot does my water but they lost a customer for life read more

Bree and Dan went out of their way to help me solve the problem and find the right person to fix it. Went I today to buy some de scaler for hard water. I was at the check out counter for 10 minutes and the guy working didn't even acknowledge me as he was just talking away on the phone. I have been going to the Stanton store for over 15 years and I must admit that I have not been overly pleased. This past Wednesday evening that all changed when I walked in after work badly needing new equipment to replace my 15 year old pump and filter that failed within 2 days of each other. Brianna did a great job of listening and guiding me to everything I needed, even finding Edison and manufacturer rebates and discounts. Due to my work schedule and a very green pool, I only had Saturday to get the work done which I was warned would be almost impossible to accommodate because of heavy appointments. The scheduler called me early Thursday and did a great job of listening to my situation, put me on hold to speak to her supervisor, then came back telling that they would have an installer at my home by early Saturday afternoon! Early Saturday afternoon as promised, the installer (James) did a wonderful job explaining all that he was going to do and put everything together. He then patiently took the time to make sure I knew how to operate and program the pump and understand the filter. I am extremely pleased with the customer service that the Leslie's team performed this past week and I want to let them know how much I appreciated their efforts. Thank you and Great Job! read more

Don't know about the other ratings but Gino was the guy! Needed an unusual color to paint my pool, they had it. He even helped me out on some other problems I was having. Didn't have something on the shelf that I needed and Gino looked to see if it recently came in on the delivery truck...it DID! Saved me some money, time, and gas. read more

I don't know why other review writers did not have good service but as the first timer, i had great experiences at this place. I did not even yelp before coming to this store. It was just on my way and I swung by just to check on the price of the pool pump to see if it's affordable. I did not intend to buy anything prior to coming besides price check and tons of questions about how to self take care of my pool. I guessed I was lucky bc the time I came in, the store was kinda slow so I got lots of help from Brian. I had no idea about pool and pool related matters bc I had my pool guy help me from day 1. Anyways, Brian not only answered all of mine concerns and A-Z questions, he also literally gave me pool lesson 101 without any hesitation! He made recommendations on diff equipments. After 30min of pool lectures, I thought I could handle my pool like a piece of cake which I thought it was like climbing thru mountains. Then more customers started coming in, and I saw him and his staff (forgot what his name was) took good care of them. They joked and laughed and customers left happy. For me, I felt very good and so much appreciated for him to spend time and walk me thru every little detail without knowing if I would come back to buy his supplies or not! That was the customer service I needed. I went home and did homework on pricing that he gave me and made some comparisons with other local pool supply stores and online, but nowhere else could beat his store. So I decided to come back with my hubby and he was just as helpful and nice as the first time. Although he had to leave at certain time, he still hung around for another 30 min to help me and my hubby. Eventually we decided to buy supplies from here bc we liked his customer service and relatively good pricing on major items. We are scheduling appointment for our new pump installation, no idea how it will go later on but for now we tell ourselves that we will come back again and again until we don't get good service anymore. read more

He rushed us like crazy and charged us for a bunch of overpriced chemicals. When we asked to return it was too late since they don't take chemical returns which they never mentioned. I took my OLD Hayward pool sweep in to Leslie's pool supplies at 12710 Beach Blvd. Stanton CA. Put the old thing on the counter and the counter man looked at it and said What is that I haven't seen one of them in years would you like a nice NEW one? They don't make this type any moor what do you won't to do? I told hem it's my favorite one and I need it FIXED. He said I should talk to GENEO at the Repair counter in the back so I did. He (Geneo) said it's reel old and don't know if parts can be got for it. But he would try. He called me at home told me that he was having trouble finding parts it's so old. I told hem I won't it fixed. OK he will try some other things and the cost is Hi. I said I don't care I won't it fix if he can. He called me and said it will take ONE or TWO weeks to get the parts OK....Two weeks past he called Me to pickup the thing it's ready.O BOY I took it home and the thing WORKS beater than new ..My hat is off to them at the pool place I would recommend them to all POOL owners ..........
