GONZALO APPLIANCE SPECIALIST Gonzalo was a nightmare to work with. Raising his voice at a customer and cutting me off while I'm talking and telling that my mom didn't communicate with what she was planning. I'm sorry that English is my mom's 5th language. When you say up to 50% off she thought it meant 50% off. My mom was contemplating about buying a refrigerator. They offered her an additional $100 off. She walked away because she had to find the logistics on how to unload the refrigerator to her house. Gonzalo had told me that once your mom walks out that offer does not stand anymore. And I told him did you communicate that with her obviously not. He was teaching me that I should be transparent, and my mother should communicate with him what she was planning to do, but yet he did not do the same thing. I own two businesses, and I do not dare to talk to my customers the way that he talk to me. He is the face of Home Depot. He represents what Home Depot's mission and commitment is and I am definitely 100% sure that they do not align with his morals and value by his tone of voice the way that he was talking to me. Raising his voice and saying, "no,no,no,no,no." And cutting me off while I speak is a no, no, no, no on your part sir Gonzalo. When he promises a customer something he denies it and doesn't keep his promise. If I had a business like his, my business would be shut down. If you say you're going to mark it down for the customer then stick to your integrity and keep your promise like how Home Depot said it's their mission to keep their promises to the customers. He needs to be reevaluated on his customer service. Home Depot needs to invest more training for their staff to deal with customers. I was so livid I drove to the store and I see my mom at the customer service desk being helped by a gentleman (Gonzalo) and I addressed the assistant store manager about my interaction with the man on the phone and Gonzalo had the audacity to defend himself loudly and said I cussed at him that's why he yelled. And I said, "why would I cuss at him out of no where?" When there's a cause there is a reaction. His cause is his rudeness and yelling so I cuss because he didn't let me speak and explain myself, instead he yelled and cut me off and interrupted me. Standing there and still arguing with me about his actions and putting me in the wrong.? Clearly he was not ready to deal with me in an appropriate manner and Jordan the assistant manager excused him away from me and dealt with my transaction with my mother instead. The nerve of him to defend himself and saying I am in the wrong. He surely needs more training or find another job that suits him better. If another customer is complaining about him and I'm not the only one, obviously he hasn't learned his lesson yet and management isn't doing shit about it. How are they suppose to improve their store if they don't improve their staff? Management doesn't give a shit about their store and when we complain, it goes in one ear and out the other. Once again, this location has demonstrated they just don't care about customer service. I picked up a few things and headed to checkout. I still needed a key made from their minute-key kiosk, but it only accepts EXACT change. I only had cash on me, large bill. When I got to checkout, I was "greeted" by Mary. I asked if there was a live cashier clerk because I needed to break change. With great exaggeration, she pointed at the empty self checkout kiosks saying she's sure there's plenty of open registers. But that wasn't my question, and didn't appreciate her trying to be a smart a-- about it. I clarified, I needed to break change to use the key kiosk. She then condescendingly claimed the self-checkout registers have the option of HOW change is given. That isn't even a thing..., and when I tried to explain this to Mary, she threw her hand up in the air and told the associate next to her, "I JUST CAN'T. YOU DEAL WITH *THIS*!" And walked away. How incredibly rude... The other associate was very kind and helped check me out at the register. When asked what Mary's problem was, he said, "She's just in a mood...". This is never an acceptable answer. Why in the world would the manager place someone with such horrible people skills to help at checkout...that requires interaction with customers? Search her name in the reviews, and you'll see that another yelper had a very similar experience. I did speak with a manager on the floor, Owen, but who knows if anything will be done. Live near this Home Depot so for us it's always been very convenient to come here! My husband and I decided to change the faucet in our restroom we came here and left with a glacier bay faucet. We can home, we opened the box and it was used..we went back about 3 or 4 times because each one was defective . Everytime we went back we were welcomed and helped out by such wonderful employees. Joanna was super nice, I forgot to get everyone else's names but they were amazing as well. To the store manager, thank you for accommodating us in the ways you could. We came in to purchase a hit water heater,no sales replacement to help us, had to load the hot water heater myself on to the cart and after asking for help to load the hot water heater into my SUV , no one came to help. There was no customer service given that day for me and my wife, we're senior citizens and expected a little help from those kids just standing around doing nothing to at least lift a finger . I didn't know what pieces to get for a drain extension in the plumbing aisle, he saw me walking around confused and he said "Do you need help in finding a part?" It's like he's psychic !!! After going to Ace Hardware and being told they did not have the garden hose to PVC fitting that I needed to repair my lawn sprinkler, I went to Home Depot and talked to Tejas in isle 6 after searching for the fitting that the website said there were 60 of this part. He knew his part of the store because he immediately came back to me where I was waiting for him, sitting on my walker, with one. I asked him if he would please bring me another one and he immediately went and got me another one. I thanked him for his good customer service, then I said, "will you please direct me to the glue." He did me one better and brought the can over to me along with a bag to carry these items to the cash register. I got to the cash register where Jonathon was waiting for me. He rang these items for me, put my money into the machine for me and gave me my change and my items in another plastic bag. I thanked him for doing all of that for me, since I was sitting on my walker at that time. I asked both of these employees names because I like to give credit where credit is due. I stopped by this Home Depot this morning to look at their Halloween decorations and also to get a recessed outlet plug. But my main interest here this morning was to look at their Halloween animatronics. It's basically right in the front when you enter the store so you'll have to step on the try me button because it's contagious. I really like the soul catcher animatronics and deciding if I should buy it. After I finish checking out their Halloween stuff, I went and got the recessed outlet. The pool was sick looking. RN that I am, my mind equates it to a nasty UTI. My friend Anna is perpetually handy and knew what to do. We had to bleach the walls. I called one rental service before calling Home Depot and was quoted $99/day to for the pump. Before calling this HD in Stanton, I called the closer HD multiple times and nobody answered. I received prompt assistance with one call at this location. It's Just under $62 to rent here. That was an easy choice. HD also Carries the bleach we needed. I bought 4 cases of the stuff. I wish I could tell you the brand. It came two jugs per case. The pump fits in the hole at the base of the pool. It was simple to drain in about 13 hours. Easy working with HD. read more

I was heading to Home Depot to get some supplies to repair some fiberglass screens on a few of our windows. I did my research ahead of time on their website and knew what aisle to go to pick up the supplies. I bought a kit and a roll of fiberglass screen to supplement with replacing the other window screens. In addition, I saw a sale on Ortho Home Defense spray and grabbed a bottle. This is specifically for the guy in the rental department from two days ago. I inquired about a cement mixer to rent and he was rude as can be.
