This was by far my worst customer service experience ever. I have never been so disrespected by a manager. This place is solely for professional painters or contractors. You must already know exactly what you want. I wish I never set foot in this place. Every single person I spoke to was snide and disrespectful. If they even acknowledged me at all. Each time I went in I had a terrible experience. All the way up to the manager ranting and waving his hands at me. So much so that other employees came out to see. What an example right? They do not go in to detail to answer any questions and refuse to give any advice at all. I've gotten more help at Home Depot. I only decided to venture out to Dunn Edwards due to a recommendation. And I wish I hadn't. They can't pull up the paint codes to color match or anything. The man strictly does product. Any questions I asked had a long winded reason why he wasn't able to help in that area. But was mad when I said I felt like he didn't want to help. All while I was blamed for my experience, even though I would think it's their job to do these things. Do not come here if you're a young person looking for help or maybe if you don't look like their usual customer. read more

They state they always ONLY have gallon or 5 gallon. In paint go to Home Depot or another Dunn edwards. Con job.

Very helpful over the phone and in the store. However; if you call and get Thuy, just hang up and call back. The rest of your conversation will be "No we don't, sorry we can't, I don't know, I didn't work yesterday, you have to come down here to find out..." Do yourself a favor. read more

I came into this location questioning a certain color pigment for my sons room and they helped me so well. They were very tip top about their color knowledge and the staff was super friendly. If I ever need paint, this is my new go to place. read more

I'm not an account holder or frequent customer. But I stopped in to get a color match quart sample from another paint company. The manager was very helpful and pulled the fan book for me of the other company so he could get a good match. After that it all went a little south. I was told it would be 15-20 minutes. Thirty minutes later I asked if my sample quart was completed? I got a few blank stares and then I was told it will be 15-20 minutes. Ugh. Low and behold, about 45 minutes into my visit I had my quart and I was on my way. read more

This is the worst customer service. Unfortunately corporate has it set up so can't leave a message. I went there at 7 minutes to 5 just to get a color adjustment on a 32$ quart of paint I bought. They said I arrived to late for a color match. I know how long that take and no one else was in the store. The girl said she needed to cash out. I wasn't spending any money and it wasn't 5 yet. What happened to customer come first. Not here! There were three employees standing there. Do you mean to tell me if a contractor came in and wanted $1000.00 of paint they would say come back tomorrow? I'm never going there again. Sherwin Williams is just as good. read more

This is my favorite Dunn-Edwards paint store. Paul the manager is always very helpful and quick to answer any and all of my questions. I avoid the early morning rush and usually come in the afternoon to pick up my paint. Most of the time, I'm in and out in 10 minutes or less. And did I mention that their paint is the best! Dropped off about 10 gallons of old paint so it can be properly disposed. Simply showed up, they lent me a hand truck, and showed me where to drop off the paint in the store. I was able to do it all myself. I was happy to dispose of the paint properly and all at one location read more

They can get busy like most places, but it comes in waves. Sometimes it's empty(mid day or random hours like 10 AM). Martha has always been great. I worked with her a lot when she was at Garden Grove. She's awesome. This place is more for professionals but it is definitely open to the general public. If you have a contractor who has an account with them, you can get a good fraction off the store price, so ask around. Dunn Edwards paint is far superior to Behr or Valspar found at your local stores. Give them a try. Also, don't fall for "all in one paint" with "primer built in". It's marketing. If you have semi-gloss or high gloss, you should really prime it first or sand it down a bit. read more

Ask for any of these associates and they will help you with any of your painting needs. We've had an account with Dunn-Edwards for many years and they are our number one choice. No matter how busy they are, I can always count on them to deliver when it comes to ordering paint, answering paint questions, and process payments on our account. Made an appointment with a color expert on a Saturday at 3. They closed at 3 and nicely asked if 30 mins was ok. The girl was very helpful and even gave us options if our painter did not have a contract with them. Although I know he does, it is great to know if I ever wanted to paint a room myself and purchase paint from them... read more

He has turned my tough projects into easy and fun ones just with his advice. Opening a business was so much easier with his help, and I couldn't be happier with how the colors turned out!!! We recently bought our first house and I have made a trip nearly every weekend to Dunn Edwards for the past 2 months. This location is so much better than the Fountain valley location. great place to buy paint the very nice girl (Latoya) help us with our large paint order. she helped us match a competitor's color and explained to us which types of paints were best and which sheens we should order. She even helped us estimate how many gallons of each color we would need. She even have us a small discount because of the large order we made. We really liked having Latoya helping us. -1 star because they have limited hours, they close relatively early in the day and close all day Sunday. I guess they sell mostly to painting contractors and not as helpful to residential customers. read more

The lady who helped us was friendly and made a great effort to be helpful. Unfortunately, she had zero knowledge of their products and every question resulted in her reading the label or performing an internet search. She did call someone on the phone for help, but that was no better than reading the labels. read more

For a paint store, I didn't expect to have outstanding customer service. The employees always greet you when you first walk in. If they are working w/ someone, they acknowledge you and tell you they'll be right w/ you. They are informative and patient. I'm impressed w/ their customer service. read more
