This is a real hardware store. What you need will be here, and their staff know their products. Not expensive, not cheap.

I came into the store today and was held up by Fernando. This gentleman gave me the exact bolt and nut that I needed. He was very polite and helped me out very quickly. He understood what it was. I needed the part for and even when as far as coming outside to my truck to verify that I was getting exactly what I needed. I really appreciate this type of customer service and taking care of customers getting us in and out of the door, thanks again to Fernando. I really appreciate the respect and help given. read more

The Leaning Wall of Mission Viejo   Known for exceptional window cleaning, Five Star Window Detailing (https://fivestarwindowdetailing.com) is occasionally called on by our clients to help with emergency situations. Imagine waking up to your masonry dividing wall leaning precariously into your neighbor's yard. Call your contractor and spend $20,000 to have it replaced? Or, look for other possible solutions?   Utilizing a proven method of wall stabilization found in historic masonry and brick buildings, Jessica and her Team were able to keep the wall from falling over and began the gradual process of straightening. Although not an immediate fix, the wall will be brought back to it's original position for a fraction of the cost in a short period of time.   Using turnbuckles, shackles and cables to connect earth anchors to the masonry stars, the wall is gradually pulled back into position inch by inch. This process allows the ground underneath to conform and support the structure without destroying the wall. Once the goal has been achieved and the wall is straight, the earth anchors will be repositioned closer to the wall as a permanent brace to prevent this from occurring again.   The owners even like the look so much they intend to incorporate it as a garden feature.   A big thank you to McFadden-Dale Hardware Industrial Supplies in Santa Ana (https://www.mcfaddendalehardware.com/santa-ana-ca) for supplying the specialty hardware required for this project. We couldn't have done it without you. read more

Well stocked with all the nuts, bolts, washers, fasteners, fuses, clamps, and specialty hardware you could need. Much wider selection than any other parts store and it's well organized. If you're working on any custom projects, you need to pitstop here. read more

This place is absolutely amazing, what a hidden gem, they have everything plus counter people with real brains and knowledge, I am so glad I discovered it #hardwarestore read more

This is not a Home Depot or Ace Hardware, rather a place where you will go look for more heavy duty materials and equipment. It is a nice a change of pace from the typical hardware store and you will no doubt find not only the part or piece of equipment you needed, but also something else you can use, but forgot that you needed. read more

Came here after literally standing in the hardware department at Home Depot for 15 minutes trying to get somebody competent enough to answer some questions. Nobody ever came so I went to McFadden-Dale. Had exactly what I needed, staff all were eager to help, prices weren't as bad as I thought. Thanks guys, I'll be seeing y'all real soon! read more

Great customer service!! They have everything and prices are cheaper compared to other stores. They have a great selection of stuff that usually don't have in regular stores. read more

Plenty of good stuff, the first guy I spoke to wasn't very helpful at all, then I found Leo and everything was alright. Thank you Leo for showing what great customer service is!!! read more

They have everything you could need when it comes to hardware parts that are hard to find. I would give them 5 stars, but their hours close at 5pm, which makes it hard to always get to during the week. I went here to get a second/missing screw for my boyfriends '72 Yamaha motorcycle. It was to hold the battery in place. I brought one in, and the employee at the counter knew exactly what to get. He was so great! Customer service was exactly as it should be at a specialized store. I'll be returning for any needs they can help with. Also, who doesn't love to look at a wall full of wheels and colorful things? read more

I got lost in this store for hrs. They have everything a guy can ask for. Staff was super helpful as well.

I go here often for work purposes. This place has by far the worst customer service of any STORE I've ever been to. Cocky, arrogant and generally only as helpful as they have to be. I would never come here for my own needs. read more

I was looking for a unique set of bolts for a repair that my service technician required. No place in orange county seem to have it. I was advised to come here and see my last opportunity. I was blown away by the helpful staff who had exactly what I needed. The best part it was only a couple dollars. This place is amazing it has so many different tools and hardware. Certainly deserves a five star review for a helpful staff who is very knowledgeable and courteous to their customers. A+ read more

Mcfadden-Dale is the best hardware store I've ever used. One of the reasons my company is located in Irvine, is so we can be close to them for the supplies I need in machine development. They are our secret weapon for getting projects done. I am sure we are not alone in valuing their service and support. read more

I could not get any of my projects done without this place. Hardware is always getting more pricey, and the quality at most box stores has gone entirely to $#!#. This place has it ALL. No kidding. You have never been to a hardware store till you check them out. All grades of fasteners, stainless steel, metric, standard, button-head, zinc-plated, shoulder-bolts, thumb screws, nuts, etc. If they don't have it there they will get it for ya. Pricing is good, the staff gets to know ya, and remembers what you are working on. Either you are a person that gets things done and shops here, or you are a person who pays someone else to get stuff here and fix your stuff right. read more

Great place for some hard to find hardware and tools. It has the old supply store feel and is a functional place. It's not an ACE or Orchard so don't expect that in anyway. As you can tell by their business hours they cater towards contractors and construction related clientele. Most of their staff is very knowledgeable and when you get one they are great. But the ones that are not are either running back to find out the answer or a few that just blow steam. Customer service is a hit or miss every visit. You'll either get someone that's so helpful or a dismissive/blank stare. It's definitely a business that you have to know what you're looking for or you'll be given lesser service. But the register people are strait forward and only have one sole function...ring the item up and...that's about it so don't ask or expect anymore than that. This place is great for what it is and is priced fair. read more

Staff not helpful at all not very knowledgeable horrible customer service. Won't be back

They moved recently but seems like they added a lot more inventory. You can find a lot more unusual stuff compare to Home Depot or lowes. read more

I was referred to this place by a worker in the Honda dealer in Orange. This place saved my life from a world of pain and saved me over 100 dollars if I had bought a new mirror ( thanks a lot Honda) I was kindly greeted by every staff member even though they were super busy. My motorcycle mirror bolt was broken ( couldn't loosen or tighten it ) and I couldn't screw it out since it was at an angle. Leo is the man tho! He had to cut/saw it off. He went above and beyond to help me :) will definitely come back if I need anything read more

WOW! I am completely blown away. I went in here for the first time today because I was looking for a rare bolt. They did not have it but what they had was much much better. They had employees that knew their sh*t and are willing to help you. They personally helped me build the bolt from parts they had. So now instead of paying 50 bucks for a proprietary bolt. I spent 10 and found the hardware store that will have my business for the rest of my life. I have been to other "mom and pop" hardware stores but the quality of this store is unparalleled. They have much more in terms of hardware than the big chains do. All the employees I dealt with were pleasant and helpful, I don't know what they do (maybe they pay them well?) but I do know this: I would be proud to be an employee here. Thank you for your help Steve. read more

Gotta love McFadden-Dale.........for the most part ANY thing you need is here. Service is ALWAYS top notch. In my never ending quest to reinvent the wheel, I can always turn to McFaddendale. Best hardware store ever. If you can't find it or think you won't find it anywhere..... Go to Mcfadden-Dale !!! I often wander around just amazed at all the useful stuff I didn't even know was available. I have not meet one worker that doesn't know what things are called. Ask for a c-lok or top lock nut and anyone there knows what it is and where it is. GREAT PLACE!!! read more

This place has all the hardware and tools you can't find at big box retailers, or might even have a hard time finding online. I come here to buy Wiha screwdrivers for working on electronics, and they have the full array of Wiha tools (which are the best German-made screwdrivers you can buy). Top notch service. Fair pricing. They are LITERALLY the first place I think of when I am looking for "specialty" items!!!!

Pretty much the best hardware store in the OC area. It should be the first and last stop for all your household needs. :)
