They don't speak English, and no prices are marked so it makes it difficult for a non-Vietnamese speaking person.

They…read moreare my first pick for sourcing my plants on all of my job sites because of their incredible selection and their outstanding customer service. I have worked with many wholesale nurseries and Bolsa knows how to take care of us like no other. They have competitive pricing, they stock unusual plants when we request them and Nicole (my favorite vendor contact ever) has consistently gone out of her way to broker in plant material that we couldn't get our hands on. I have been referring them to my landscape design and contracting friends as long as i have been in business. Here is an example of how great they are. I had a job site about 35 miles away from Bolsa and I was waiting around for the delivery. When I call to find out why they were late, I realized that I NEVER SENT OVER my materials list. Oops! I told my crew to go ahead and take an early lunch and Nicole pulled together a plant list for a full front and backyard and had them at the job in less than two hour. They were so fast and delivered such beautiful material I never even had to admit to my mistake. I read another review that compared them to Armstrong which is not a fair comparison. Bolsa is a wholesale nursery catering to the landscape industry not a retail nursery that caters to homeowners purchasing a few plants for their yard. They are a terrific resource for the landscape designer, contractor or home improvement professional that needs great selection, service and prices. Bolsa Rocks!

David was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We came in looking for Star Jasmine and David showed us exactly what to purchase, and how to plant and care for them. We will be back as we continue our garden project.

Not long after planting, the tree didn't seem to be developing properly, so I stopped by looking for advice. The experience was disappointing. The employee helping me appeared visibly intoxicated in the middle of the day (someone I believe is connected to ownership, as I had met him during the purchase). He was unhelpful and dismissive, so I left without any real guidance. I continued trying to care for the tree, but within two months it died. When I returned to ask whether there was any warranty, replacement option, or even assistance toward purchasing a new tree, I was met by a rude employee who immediately became defensive, repeatedly emphasizing that they are a "family-owned business" while offering zero accountability or solutions. Instead, I was blamed for the tree dying, despite the fact that I had already come in previously asking for help. For a business that sells and installs expensive trees, I expected at least some level of customer service, support, or professionalism. Instead, I got poor advice, no accountability, and an overall hostile experience. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and would recommend others do the same. Update: After digging up the dead tree, it was obvious why it failed. The root ball was extremely tight and root-bound, likely from sitting too long in the nursery box. It only had two mature roots supporting it, and both had been cut during removal and installation. They also didn't use fresh soil when planting it, which gave it little chance to establish. I went to another family-owned nursery afterward, and the difference was clear--they stood behind their product and offered a one-year warranty.

Hopped out the car and went straight to the store. They had all kinds of small souvenirs, t-shirts, leis, and plants at very great prices. The owner was so friendly with Aloha vibes. I was totally intrigued and was looking for an appropriate dish or vase to preserve the fragrant blossoms of my plant in the backyard. I immediately saw the donut looking ceramic vase in assorted colors. After chatting and getting to know more about the plants and Hawaiian articles as well as colorful clothing, I learned that my plumeria is most likely of the sweet fragrant "Gardenia" type. It was suggested that the shiny black donut dish would serve me best. The lovely missus will love the sample 5 petal flower I received with my purchase and I will get the vase filled with my own at home. With so many Art and articles and just Hawaiian fun things/souvenirs, I was shown by Arlene behind the counter, a "Cook Street" Hawaiian print shirt of great value that for sure will fit me. It was a real pleasure to have visited Konishi Plumeria and I know we will return. Hmmm, good to know that Konishi Island Fair is on 28th September.

If you're looking for a Landscape Consultant, DON'T go to Armstrong Garden Center on Goldenwest at…read moreSlater. I hired their consultant for $300 for 2-hours. It turns out you get one hour for them to come out and look and the other hour for them to determine what plants you need back at their office. This person is part-time, working only on Fridays and Saturdays. She came out on Friday afternoon and looked at the front planter and front walkway and made recommendations. I told her my landscaper was going to be planting one week later on Saturday and that I wanted plants that looked good and were appropriate for the different light conditions. I told her if you don't have them in stock, I am willing to wait. She called me on Saturday, the day after her visit, and said she had pulled plants and they were on a cart waiting for me to approve. I went there on Sunday, her day off, and out of a $900 order she pulled, I kept about $100 worth of plants, or 13 plants total; 6 Lantana, 6 Coleus, and 1 small olive bush. There was no list of alternative plants if I didn't like these, nor was there any list of plants she recommended on our walkthrough. The ones she had selected were absolutely awful and would not have made a cohesive display of colors and types. It was a mish-mash of whatever they had in stock. I went back the following Saturday and met with the consultant and told her I was very disappointed in how the plan turned out and requested a refund of the $300 fee. She said I would have to talk to her manager who was unavailable. I returned the following day and told him I felt that I had wasted $300, proper plants were not selected or recommended and I ended up having to go shop for plants on my own at multiple nurseries to find something suitable. He said he thought she fulfilled her obligation and the best he could do was give me a 30% discount on about $100 worth of plants. So, just wanted to let you know out there, that I WOULD NOT recommend Armstrong AT ALL for landscape consultation.
