Before restoration. Old St Augustine and weed mix.

They always have incredible advice for our lawn care and plant suggestions. Below you will see the difference in the lawn and what happens when I listen to the pros here at Lakewood Nursery.

I have been looking for thisssssss!

Came here on a weekday, early afternoon. It wasnt too busy. I didn't really notice any employees roaming around the plant area, they were all around the counter and in the center store. They have a huge selection of plants, trees, flowers, succulents, all of it. Many different sizes to choose from as well, and very organized. Seems like the prices were pretty fair as well. The only thing i was kinda disappointed about, was the indoor plants in the green house.. they were all bone dry and looked like they were dying. I went home with a string of bananas and small philodendron birkin.

I was looking for an alternative plant nursery, and I think I found it! Aside from going to Home Depot and Armstrong nurseries, which, quite frankly, have ridiculous prices and an overrated selection, I was just out of ideas of where to go. Then bammm. Just literally saw this place from the street and drove in to check it out!. To my surprise so much to see, and the selection is wild! Lots of variety, lots of different species and colors and what I truly enjoyed, the prices made my wallet happy. Literally 20% to 30% less . The person who helped was super knowledgeable and was upfront and helpful. Check it out, family owned business is the way to go!

Always find something new, but today I noticed a lot of the succulents and or the plants I usually buy (house plants) We're not in the greatest condition. But still carry plants that your not able to find at the big box stores. See you next week Ps: they have the string of turtles if interested?

    Beautiful indoor plants

I became an indoor plant mommy during this pandemic and I am so proud of my plants that just beautify our home. This became my hobby while working from home, I've been here many time on my lunch break, after work, and on the weekends. I am addicted. I love this nursery a lot and it's so close to home. I highly recommend this place for indoor and outdoor plants. They also have a huge selection of succulents. Everything is priced great and the staff are all friendly. This is such a great nursery, you'll find what you need and more. I am here at least once a week and I can't wait to go back.

    Isn't she a beauty

After visiting multiple nurseries, I've noticed that Lakewood Nursery prices are about 40% or more to other places for the same plants. The plants need a little love and care. I still think delivery for $25 within 10 miles is a good deal though. This is not my go-to place any longer.

The service is great and I can always find what I need. The plants are healthy and the nursery stands behind what they sell.

Do you have dwarf Meyer lemon trees? If si, how much do they cost. Thanks?

Hello we do not carry any citrus the only place that does carry citrus would be Armstrong Nursery in Long Beach.

Do you have the creeping fig (ficus Pumila)?

Yes, we do carry creeping fig. Currently, I believe we only have them in 1 gallon pots staked.

    Do you have bougainvillea tree?

Hello, we only carry bougainvillea in a trellis and staked not as a form of a tree unfortunately.

What soils do they sell here?

    Pretty much all of them

Hi, do you guys sell gift cards or certificates?

Hello, gift certificates are sold at Lakewood nursery.

    Do you have lemon trees?

Unfortunately no, for the past couple of years citrus trees have not been allowed to be sold or planted within a 10 mile radius of Orange County due to a certain bug eating at them.

Do you have Hoya Hindu rope?

Good afternoon, unfortunately we do not have it and we are not able to get it through any of our suppliers. We are very sorry for the inconvenience. Lakewood Nursery

I was totally intrigued and was looking for an appropriate dish or vase to preserve the fragrant blossoms of my plant in the backyard. I immediately saw the donut looking ceramic vase in assorted colors. After chatting and getting to know more about the plants and Hawaiian articles as well as colorful clothing, I learned that my plumeria is most likely of the sweet fragrant "Gardenia" type. It was suggested that the shiny black donut dish would serve me best. The lovely missus will love the sample 5 petal flower I received with my purchase and I will get the vase filled with my own at home. With so many Art and articles and just Hawaiian fun things/souvenirs, I was shown by Arlene behind the counter, a "Cook Street" Hawaiian print shirt of great value that for sure will fit me. It was a real pleasure to have visited Konishi Plumeria and I know we will return. Hmmm, good to know that Konishi Island Fair is on 28th September.

They were the only place…read morelocally that I could find that have them and they're one of the few plant nurseries I've ever found with a pretty updated website! It was easy to park once I got here and their selection is HUGE. They have pretty mature trees but they do have younger ones available, really depends what you're looking for. I walked around a bit just in awe of the unique fruits they had, but then after a bit couldn't really find someone to help me. I couldn't find the citruses, but when I finally found some help and asked for yuzu, they actually went to a employee-only area and grabbed a couple yuzu in plant sleeves for me. Asked me which of the two he was holding I liked and I picked and paid right there. He asked if I was planning on planting it in a pot or in ground and when I said pot, he showed me which size I should pot it in and not to go bigger. There were also a couple fruit on the tree, but he said it was old and to just toss them, I figure they were probably left on to show that the tree fruits. He asked if I was potting today and I said within the week and he added a bit of extra soil for me. Would've liked a little more information on caring for it and didn't see if they had any soil available for purchase, but I figured it out on my own. It's been a couple months but the yuzu is still alive and healthy thankfully! Would give them 4.5 but will err towards a 5 since they selection is sooo good and I probably could've gotten more help if I actually asked.

I had been looking for a yuzu tree, and this was the only place that had one and it was already 4 feet tall and only $60! Citrus trees are hard to find in Orange County due to quarantine restrictions, and some cities are even banned from purchasing them. I was surprised to discover that Mimosa Nursery not only carries citrus trees but also yuzu specifically. Beyond citrus, they have an impressive selection of other fruit trees as well. I also picked up a 7-gallon Violette de Bordeaux fig tree for $65. While you might find some of these plants cheaper elsewhere, many of the fruit trees here are already fruiting or have been pruned to the size and shape of a tree, which means they are more developed than the typical seedlings sold at lower prices. Service is very straightforward - you're not going to spend half a day chatting it up with them here. I highly recommend checking out Mimosa Nursery if you're on the hunt for a specific fruit tree. Bonus: they accept credit cards!
