This nursery is such a gem. I've probably passed by it hundreds of times and I've never known it was there! The best nurseries are the slightly hidden ones. This nursery is located off the 91 freeway and Lakewood. It's underneath some power towers. There's a few parking spaces inside and some street parking. There's a few very cool wall murals. Everything seems neatly organized. There's a small variety of pots, a shed full of bags of small decorative rocks, a price list, and then the succulents are nicely arranged and categorized. There's a table full of collectors succulents and cacti, cacti, succulents starting with small 2 inch pots, and it works it's way up to 8 inch pots. There's a lovely variety of succulent plants and their prices are clearly listed. If any succulent has a different price, it's shown so there's no surprises. The plants look super healthy and well taken care of. The staff there are very friendly! Great nursery to shop at. read more

This is more of a specialty succulent pace so you're paying to get succulents you may not easily find at other places. They had a nice selection of 4" pot succulents. I was able to find a pointed end burro's tail and a 4" Artichoke Agave, which can be really difficult to find in such a small size. I'd highly recommend this oalce for unique succulents. The reason I dropped it a star is because there are a few more common succulents that you can get for half the price somewhere else, but if you're already here and only need a couple of the common succs then it's worth the convenience fee. read more

The coolest nursery that specializes in cacti and succulents! I'm so happy I found this out as I am becoming more fascinated by these plants! I could have spent all day there just admiring the plants. They were also super healthy and labeled (a huge bonus)! Yesterday was my first visit to this nursery. They had a few different vendors for a succulent and cactus event. Had such a good time and really enjoyed looking all the beautiful plants. Customer service was AMAZING! I met Lucia and Edgar and they were so very nice. Prices were reasonable as well... 2" planters are $2 each or 12 for $15. They have exotic succulents and cacti as well. I really like that they have their prices posted. Everything is organized and on tables so that you're not constantly stopping down to the ground. Will definitely be back again! read more

Wow what a cool place. I bought a bunch of really cool plants today. The girl who helped me was very sweet and genuine and not overbearing like some places. I would have never known that Green Touch Nursery existed if it weren't for a flier that I received in the mail at my Downey residence. As you walk around, you'll notice extremely healthy plants, mostly water wise and drought-tolerant varieties - succulents, cacti, junipers, etc.. But they also have the occasional hydrogen/oxygen gulping beauties like Egyptian Papyrus. The owners - a husband/wife duo - are very welcoming and nice. Knowledgable and real down-to-earth. I can't wait to visit them again. If you're driving on Lakewood Blvd. towards Bellflower from Downey, you'll pass a Chevron station on the right-hand side, then immediately after that is Park St. Turn right. This humble nursery is tucked off to the left behind an auto body shop. There is street parking or park inside the gate if there's room. The prices on all sizes of plants are affordable. I came here today on a whim to try a nursery that was closer to me in Downey! I have moderate experience with succulents and went mostly looking for a different variety than what I already have. The man who offered his help to me was very kind! He asked what type of plants I was interested in (haworthias I didn't already have, primarily) and he helped me find some! I compared pictures on my phone to ones I have with the ones he showed me and determined I didn't have a lot of them! I really likes the haworthia variety. It is a very big lot with a decent variety. I was also able to get terra cotta pots at a good price, which is good, since I won't use other types! I was also excited to find a Lola, since I didn't have one! read more

Amazing succulent collection. I usually don't gravitate towards succulents but they have such cool ones. I was able to find a huge Rhaphidophora tetrasperma for $10! That price is unbelievable. The indoor plant selection isn't plenty but the ones they have are huge and cheap! The best part was how welcoming the owner is. Really a helpful , nice seller ,Oscar , but best was the reasonable pricing for all kind succulents . I regretted going to private homes to buy during lockdown , drove far n so expensive! This was so much more reasonable , especially hanging plants of fern, wandering Jew, Purple Hearts, purple necklace n many rare succulents. I love this spot. Almost exclusively selling cacti and succulents, their aim is to provide the more unusual and hard to find varieties. While they also sell a lot of the standard fare you'll find elsewhere, that's not why you're here. Now, while the pricing on the rare plants is on the pricier side, it is what it is. Like other nurseries, you can sometimes get a discount when buying several plants or haggling a little. The owner Oscar is informative and enthusiastic about what he does and it is infectious. First of all, this nursery is hidden off the 91 freeway. Second, the owner, OSCAR, was awesome, showed us his rare collections & explained to us the different family or species of succulents. Lastly, I was looking for this rare succulent plant, which is the spiral cactus for my aunt, and they have it!!!!! Not only that, they have quite a number of rare, hard-to-find succulents. GT is such a wonderful nursery right off the freeway! There was a very impressive variety of succulents and cacti's that were all reasonably priced. He has a limited amount of house plants, at least during my visit. I've been following the GT nursery Instagram (@gtnursery) and scored a rare Myrtillocactus Geometrizans Fukurokuryuzinboku cactus I've been hunting down for months. Will definitely be coming back and scoping out Oscar's rare table of succulents. High recommend! read more

Been here before and I follow them on Instagram @gtnursery and was in the area, so I decided to drop by. This nursery isn't the biggest but they have lots of rare plants and cool pots. They have a huge assortment of rare cactus' and succulents and even some house plants. I got a really cute feather cactus, hawthoria cooperi obtusa, and whale fin. There was a variegated string of pearls just magically growing in the whale fin pot and Oscar just gave it to me graciously for free cuz it was with the whale fin. I really appreciate the honesty and kindness and noticed all the plants are at really good prices. They were selling prayer plants for like around 10 when I've seen other places charging 20 plus. Oscar really knows his plants, like by names and species, and what he has on deck, makes it really easy to shop if you're the indecisive type like me.
