Talavera pot, Swiss cheese plant and and some succulents
    Sandra L.

I just left the nursery , Eustolia is the lady I spoke with. She's so knowledgeable and she prices are reasonable! I'll share a pic of what I got. Such good prices! I'm part of the Long Beach cactus club i would know. Y habla española!

    Snake Plant
    Lorena G.

They were very friendly and had such a wide variety of plants. So many beautiful hanging plants too. We went there for the purpose of two snake plants for the bedroom and came back with an extra. Will be going back for our garden plants.

    Pothos indoor plant

This was my first time here. They have a good selection of indoor houseplants - I got a hugee pothos for only $35. This photo I attached doesn't even do it justice. The woman at the counter was so sweet. I will definitely be returning. Thank you!

I was a first time customer at Garibaldo's Nursery and received this free shark tooth crassula!

Garibaldo's Nursery has a large variety of indoor and outdoor plants. Make sure you walk in all the way to the far right as the entrance appears to have a limited selection of larger succulents only.

If you're looking for a plant gift, this is a nice spot.

This is a beautiful nursery. They have some rare plants, rare cacti. Very unique designs. There was so many cacti that I've never seen elsewhere. If you are a plant collector and love plants, this is a must see!! I will be coming back.

    String of Watermelon
    Grace A.

I love Garibaldo's nursery ! I was able to purchase my string of watermelon's in one gallon container for $10.00 ! The staff is very friendly and helpful ! I called in and the gentleman in the line took a photo of the string of watermelons for me. I even picked up extra plants for my succulent loving friends. If you love succulents this nursery is for you ! Prices are very reasonable, and if I had more time I would have probably bought more plants ! They have hoyas also ! Family owned ! Please support small business !

Ask the Community - Garibaldo's Nursery

Does this nursery carry many California native plants?

I have been here a couple of times and love it. I mainly see cactus and succulents here with some houseplants.

Hi, any chance you guys also sell fire wood for at-home use on fire pits or fireplaces? If so, what is the pricing like?

Are the open with normal hours right now?

Yep Nicest people in the world. Awesome products, amazing service

Do you guys carry native milkweed?

We do have Asclepias Fascicularis native to California. We are down to our last two 1 gallon container size.

    Do they have herbs?

Hello thank you for your question! We do carry Herbs in 4” pots and 1 gallon sized containers. We also strive to grow our herbs only with organic practices. We are not supporters of Organic certification, because we believe growing medicinal plants…

Any aloe in stock? If so, how big and how much? Thanks!

    Yes as of 2/7/2020

Do you have lime trees ? Also grow bags? Gary F

Hi Gary, unfortunately we do not carry any citrus trees or grow bags. I can recommend hydroponics shops, they should carry grow bags in all sizes. Thank you,…

As I live in Northern California (Crockett), I tried Armstrong here hoping to score a plant. Talked w a guy who said that he was sold out of the particular plant, and I was sort of bummed, but accepted the fact that after trying another vendor, no luck would be on my side. After noodling around the store for other cool stuff, I get this "Hey!" and low and behold he found 2 Cousin It plants for me! I was surprised and happy he found them! He went out of his way to look for this particular plant and let me know that they had them! I went home happy and just stoked that this kind of customer service STILL existed in this world! Bringing home this plant back to Northern California was truly something as I had someone who cared enough to make my inquiry happen!!!

A holy grail! Tons…read moreof plants both native & nonnative that you wouldn't find at a large-scale store like Home Depot or Lowe's (I know because I've been looking). Going on their website is helpful because you can see what is in stock, but I had no idea how vast this place was. I'd only been looking at CA native plants, so from my parking spot to the pick-up desk I maybe only covered 1/15th of the area, if that. I've been looking for a local nursery with a wide selection of California natives, & have been lurking Ricardo's Nursery's online selection for a month. Finally purchased a 1-gallon Cleveland sage (Salvia clevelandii 'Winnifred Gilman') for $12 & a 1-gallon Yankee Point Carmel Creeper (Ceanothus griseus var. horizontalis 'Yankee Point') for $10. They had different variations of each plant reserved for me for me to choose from which was so endearing because I am secretly picky. Spoke with Jose who was super cool. There's also a very chill dog :) I was surprised by how vast the selection was in-person. The white sage (salvia apiana) in stock is just gorgeous. There are soooo many others I want to purchase, so thank goodness for my wallet that my project is fairly limited. (For now!) I would've wandered around photographing every single plant if it wasn't a million degrees outside & I didn't have to be somewhere. In just the 3 minutes it took me to walk to the pick-up stand, many plants caught my eye & I was reading the labels to figure out who they were. Really loved this one plant I saw--Silver Falls dichondra (Dichondra argentea 'Silver Falls'). I cannot wait to come back when I have more time & resources to devote to gardening so that I can find more little friends. Thank you so much Ricardo's Nursery...!!

He finally bought what looks like a twig to me, planted it in a pot & has been watering it. I can't even tell if it will come alive or not & there are no leaves or sprouts, or any sign of life to it yet. I searched Yelp & found Ricardo's and called them yesterday. They said they jave several 15 gallon persimmon trees & delivery will be $20. We went today & they had varying heights of 15 gallon persimmon trees, ranging from $150-180. We wanted to get the 15 gallon so we can get reimbursed partially for it as we are participating in LB's Lawn to Garden program. Today they said delivery will be $35 (we live 3.5 miles away) so I am taking one star away for raising the delivery fee once we are at the store. But otherwise, everyone was helpful, knowledgeable, & friendly. One staff even pry opened an ice cream fruit & my husband tasted it. (I'm not so adventurous so I demurred...) They have many mango trees, avocado trees, pomegranate trees, drago fruit trees, & many, many other plants. We only stayed in the entrance area & there were so many plants. They have many drought tolerant plants, including succulents. They do not have citrus trees due to fruit flies & state quarantine zone rules. Overall, nice big nursery with helpful staff. Glad we found them & will be back!!

Not long after planting, the tree didn't seem to be developing properly, so I stopped by looking for advice. The experience was disappointing. The employee helping me appeared visibly intoxicated in the middle of the day (someone I believe is connected to ownership, as I had met him during the purchase). He was unhelpful and dismissive, so I left without any real guidance. I continued trying to care for the tree, but within two months it died. When I returned to ask whether there was any warranty, replacement option, or even assistance toward purchasing a new tree, I was met by a rude employee who immediately became defensive, repeatedly emphasizing that they are a "family-owned business" while offering zero accountability or solutions. Instead, I was blamed for the tree dying, despite the fact that I had already come in previously asking for help. For a business that sells and installs expensive trees, I expected at least some level of customer service, support, or professionalism. Instead, I got poor advice, no accountability, and an overall hostile experience. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and would recommend others do the same. Update: After digging up the dead tree, it was obvious why it failed. The root ball was extremely tight and root-bound, likely from sitting too long in the nursery box. It only had two mature roots supporting it, and both had been cut during removal and installation. They also didn't use fresh soil when planting it, which gave it little chance to establish. I went to another family-owned nursery afterward, and the difference was clear--they stood behind their product and offered a one-year warranty.
