He was honest and extremely knowledgeable about the products they sold. Scott was the reason we chose Eastgate; unlike other pool stores we visited, many that made us feel like we were dealing with a shady used car sales person, Scott made us feel comfortable. The preconstruction meeting went well; Jeff explained every step of the process in detail. I have spent a small fortune on my front yard; one of my biggest fears was how my yard was going to look after the installation process. Jeff assured me the team would do everything in their power to minimize the damage to my yard. I am very pleased with the minimal repairs I'll need to make to the yard. I can't say enough good about the excavation phase. Mark is one of, if not the most, skilled equipment operators I've ever encountered. Even more so, Mark is an even better person!!! Mark takes great pride in his work, his work was precise and thorough. We were pretty satisfied with the installation process. Some of the younger members of the crew I felt were a little lazy and didn't give their best. My wife and I are very particular and want our home to look nice. The plumbing didn't meet our expectations; I stressed that all the piping coming into, and out of the equipment pad, be aligned, plumb and level; unfortunately, this didn't occur. I had to modify the piping myself. The concrete crew did a great job; however, no concrete reinforcement methods (rebar or mesh) were to be used! I was forced to purchase and install the reinforcement myself; something I wasn't expecting. I'm confident this was a cost savings method, I just wish I would have been made aware sooner in the process. I felt deceived and had to scramble to get the mesh installed before the concrete was poured the next morning. Jeff did a great job with the rough grading, tidying up a few minor details and cleaning up. He is a hard worker, takes pride in his work and has a great work ethic! All in all, we are pleased with the final product, the pool and concrete look great! I wish Eastgate Pools & Spas would have been more straightforward with the few items I was forced to take care of myself; I would have been more than happy to pay for the additional services had I known about them.

I wish we had listened to my parent's advice and just went with them instead. The sales aspect of our experience wasn't too bad. The pool itself is decently priced and looks to be of good quality. The after sales service is where Eastgate Pools & Spas leaves a lot to be desired. We were supposed to be given a week's notice before they came to install it so we could schedule the electrician and the sand. We were given 2 days. Thankfully, we had called the sand guy, that they expressly recommended, earlier this month to get an idea of how long it would take to get a load of sand. We were told during the sale to just call him the day before installation. Had we done so, we would not have had it in time. Even the sand guy was annoyed about the lack of respect they gave his schedule. I had planned to have an electrician out here the day after installation to run the power lines for the pool. Unfortunately, since we didn't get the weeks notice we aren't able to get one until a week after installation. Not a huge deal, but a headache that shouldn't have happened had there been appropriate follow through on customer services' end. The day of installation came and a somewhat annoyed man showed up at 7AM to run the Bobcat and dig the hole for the pool. He wasn't the most pleasant person, but we figured that it was already hot so it's not a big deal. A few hours later we go out to check on how it's coming along and there's no one there. There's just a water hose filling the pool at a small trickle. It turns out that once they were done they just immediately left without any word and left the gate open. There was no "thank you for your business", "here's the chemicals and accessories that come with your pool and what they do", "here's what to look out for over the next 24 hours while it's filling". There was nothing...just a pile of empty boxes, a lonely looking pool vacuum and an gate wide open, waiting for my dog to run out. I mean, even a "kiss my ass" to let me know they were done would have been preferable to them pulling some sort of disappearing act like a pool-hawking Batman. I joke slightly, but it is genuinely frustrating that you can't rely on a local business to do customer service right. I hate having to go to the larger chain stores, but I honestly can't see myself giving anymore business to Eastgate Pools & Spas. If it were completely up to me I'd return the pool and spend my money elsewhere.

It looks well stocked and I noticed that the prices are comparable to other pool supply stores in the area. But also a dollar or two cheaper for some items that are carried at the big box stores. I was in and out of the store within a few minutes. The sales people working the counter aren't very welcoming or friendly but I was in and out so quick it didn't matter.

The equipment is maintained and repaired regularly so all my favorite stuff is ready to go! They recently remodeled and added a lot of new ways to exercise. It's awesome! There is plenty of room to spread out and get it done. I like the pool, steam room, and spa. My buddie and I took a pickleball clinic and after one class know the rules and moves. I would recommend this gym to anybody in the community. More than just some weights and treadmills!! Throw a few punches on the new punching bag.

When I explained I was asking to see if they had the right equipment to join, she gave a snooty 'okay' and demanded to know what equipment. They did not install the original cover, there are very few companies who do this in Cincinnati. When our box was taken apart, we could see the issues we were dealing with, and the original company didn't necessarily do everything in the best practice way. We actually put a call into them when we first had the issue and are still waiting on a return call back. That was 3 weeks ago. Luckily Rileys pools passed along a recommendation for Cover Care. They were here early, with 3 men who quickly replaced our system. They were honest and knowledgeable when a small issue came to light. Instead of just doing the work , they came to us, explaining situation. This probably cost them a little more time and expense, but they did it right. We honestly wouldn't have known the difference, so are grateful for that. The lead time wasn't a big wait, as they said they have a large inventory and warehouse and most things, even motors, are kept in stock. Large ticket expenses are nerve wracking, but at least we know in this case, we got our money worth.

What's crazy is that it's a very similar store to "Homegoods" and "Gordmans"..and within about a year they opened all three of them right next to each other. They all are basically discount department stores and they all carry similar items and decorations. But yeah..three of the same store right next to each other..don't quite get the logic on that.
