Delivery did not go the smoothest as my one point of criticism. I talked directly to Tim about it so my complaint wasn't blown off or anything like that. Pro tip: know in advance what direction you want your spa cover lift to go and which direction you want your service panel to go. Go through the manual's installation manual to make sure all steps have been done including closing a drain port in the motor. You're gonna have a bad time if someone decides for you or forgot a step.

The owners are incredibly difficult to do business with…read more I contracted them for pool closing 2 years in a row. Each year, it is incredibility difficult to get a price up front. They always seem to run into issues and have to increase the price after they do the work. In addition, the the prices have increased 100% year over year; which I feel is unrealistic and this always occurs after the work. It is like they magically run into problems and have to increase the price. And, finally, it is super hard to get a consistent schedule with them. They always have a week window. For pool closing, there is preparation work on the home owner's side. Ideally, you would do this the night before; so debris has less time to enter the pool before it is officially closed.

She asked me why I hadn't gone there. I explained they did not have any tablets in today and I needed them. She said, "so you are here taking our supplies away from our customers?" I honestly was speechless. I've never been talked to so rudely over a purchase. I do not know if this lady is the owner or not but she has no worries about me doing anything again because I will never be back. Now I know why they had plenty of supplies and no one in the store! Plus price was incredibly inflated.

He was honest and extremely knowledgeable about the products they sold. Scott was the reason we chose Eastgate; unlike other pool stores we visited, many that made us feel like we were dealing with a shady used car sales person, Scott made us feel comfortable. The preconstruction meeting went well; Jeff explained every step of the process in detail. I have spent a small fortune on my front yard; one of my biggest fears was how my yard was going to look after the installation process. Jeff assured me the team would do everything in their power to minimize the damage to my yard. I am very pleased with the minimal repairs I'll need to make to the yard. I can't say enough good about the excavation phase. Mark is one of, if not the most, skilled equipment operators I've ever encountered. Even more so, Mark is an even better person!!! Mark takes great pride in his work, his work was precise and thorough. We were pretty satisfied with the installation process. Some of the younger members of the crew I felt were a little lazy and didn't give their best. My wife and I are very particular and want our home to look nice. The plumbing didn't meet our expectations; I stressed that all the piping coming into, and out of the equipment pad, be aligned, plumb and level; unfortunately, this didn't occur. I had to modify the piping myself. The concrete crew did a great job; however, no concrete reinforcement methods (rebar or mesh) were to be used! I was forced to purchase and install the reinforcement myself; something I wasn't expecting. I'm confident this was a cost savings method, I just wish I would have been made aware sooner in the process. I felt deceived and had to scramble to get the mesh installed before the concrete was poured the next morning. Jeff did a great job with the rough grading, tidying up a few minor details and cleaning up. He is a hard worker, takes pride in his work and has a great work ethic! All in all, we are pleased with the final product, the pool and concrete look great! I wish Eastgate Pools & Spas would have been more straightforward with the few items I was forced to take care of myself; I would have been more than happy to pay for the additional services had I known about them.

I wish we had listened to my parent's advice and just went with them instead. The sales aspect of our experience wasn't too bad. The pool itself is decently priced and looks to be of good quality. The after sales service is where Eastgate Pools & Spas leaves a lot to be desired. We were supposed to be given a week's notice before they came to install it so we could schedule the electrician and the sand. We were given 2 days. Thankfully, we had called the sand guy, that they expressly recommended, earlier this month to get an idea of how long it would take to get a load of sand. We were told during the sale to just call him the day before installation. Had we done so, we would not have had it in time. Even the sand guy was annoyed about the lack of respect they gave his schedule. I had planned to have an electrician out here the day after installation to run the power lines for the pool. Unfortunately, since we didn't get the weeks notice we aren't able to get one until a week after installation. Not a huge deal, but a headache that shouldn't have happened had there been appropriate follow through on customer services' end. The day of installation came and a somewhat annoyed man showed up at 7AM to run the Bobcat and dig the hole for the pool. He wasn't the most pleasant person, but we figured that it was already hot so it's not a big deal. A few hours later we go out to check on how it's coming along and there's no one there. There's just a water hose filling the pool at a small trickle. It turns out that once they were done they just immediately left without any word and left the gate open. There was no "thank you for your business", "here's the chemicals and accessories that come with your pool and what they do", "here's what to look out for over the next 24 hours while it's filling". There was nothing...just a pile of empty boxes, a lonely looking pool vacuum and an gate wide open, waiting for my dog to run out. I mean, even a "kiss my ass" to let me know they were done would have been preferable to them pulling some sort of disappearing act like a pool-hawking Batman. I joke slightly, but it is genuinely frustrating that you can't rely on a local business to do customer service right. I hate having to go to the larger chain stores, but I honestly can't see myself giving anymore business to Eastgate Pools & Spas. If it were completely up to me I'd return the pool and spend my money elsewhere.

Which would have been today, except first thing this morning I received a text saying they had been in an accident and would do what they could to get here today. However, when I asked if he would actually make it today I received, as per usual at this point ZERO response..All in all not a good experience at all.

We have tried to reach out and have not received a return call. Knickerbocker wants to charge an additional fee to do what should have been done originally by the opening team. I contacted the business Thursday evening (the same day as the opening.) He stated they would be out Friday. No one showed up. 4 days later, still no response from the company, no one has came to my home, and I am left with a broken filter. A filter that they installed brand new last season. Definitely do not recommend using this company for any of your pool needs.
