This winter was my first time lighting a fireplace in our townhome as we wanted to surprise the kids on Christmas Eve. The tech not only did the sweep, but he thoroughly explained everything what I needed and the process to start the fire such as purchasing kindling, when to open the chute, etc... I took down all of his notes and we pulled it off without a hitch (and no unwanted smoke). Everyone is always so friendly, from the lady who answers the phone and makes the appointment to the service techs who come out to our home. They always arrive within the time window they give when making the appointment. Usually, it's on the earlier end of the time frame given. Today was no different. Right on time and right to work. They wear shoe covers to protect the floor and carpets from dirt. They lay down cloth tarps at the entrance of the home and around the fireplace to keep everything clean. A new roof should not fail like this. They also broke one of my windows during the job (they reimbursed me, but that doesn't excuse the carelessness). Last year, instead of fixing the root cause of the leaks, I was told they wouldn't "keep coming out" whenever it leaked. That is not a solution and not acceptable workmanship. I paid good money for a roof that was supposed to be done right the first time. Repeated leaks, repeated repairs, and no permanent fix show a lack of professionalism and accountability.
