Body of the message said "this is Bill with Miami Valley Plumbing". First red flag was 2 different company names. I paid $1,000 in cash (they don't take cards) for 90 minutes of work. Tested hot/cold faucets to ensure they weren't dripping, took the cash & left. This was a Friday. That evening the shower diverter was inoperable. Was told 3 days in a row someone would be there the next day (Mon, Tues & Weds) to correct it. After that I had someone else scheduled to fix their mistake at my expense. Repair was done by an ACTUAL plumber, which I realized after the fact that Bill is not; rambled on about decades in the business and doing 50,000 hours to become a master plumber; no record of him ever holding a plumbers license on Ohio's license verification site. The "real" Plumber said the wrong type of gasket was used. He fixed it and it's worked perfectly since. I notified Bill the cost to fix the work done incorrectly was $180 and I would like to be reimbursed from the $1,000 I paid him. Crickets. I found 3-4 different company names he's under, I'm sure creating a new one each time his scam or half ass work catches up with him. Buckeye Property & Handywork, Miami Valley Plumbing, Tristate Handyworks, and possibly Bill Cox Handyman Service. It's ironic how much time I spent listening to him tell me "I'm a man of my word". I will be filing a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General. The immediate reply from the company below is a total fabrication. This is indeed the correct company that I am reviewing. How disappointing.
