Bought my spa from Tim. Been about three years and everything that was promised about the quality of the manufacturer has been true so far. They honored a minor repair under warranty with no issues and chased down another problem that turned out to be the electrical contractors fault. Would buy my spa again from Tim. Delivery did not go the smoothest as my one point of criticism. I talked directly to Tim about it so my complaint wasn't blown off or anything like that. Pro tip: know in advance what direction you want your spa cover lift to go and which direction you want your service panel to go. Go through the manual's installation manual to make sure all steps have been done including closing a drain port in the motor. You're gonna have a bad time if someone decides for you or forgot a step. read more

We've been to several pool and spa places since having a pool installed about six years ago. After opening the pool this year, there was a cloudier-than-usual condition in the water. We went to one place, which was quick to review our water analysis and they tried to sell us a bunch of chemicals. I wasn't convinced, so we brought another sample to Tim's for a second opinion. They were quick, thorough, and Tim himself gave us some great pointers on the chemistry of the pool and was able to tell us exactly what was needed. My confidence in what I was being told by Tim was much higher than what we had been told a short time earlier so we tried Tim's recommendations and the pool cleared up in less than 24-hours. I have an older hot tub that keeps having issues Most recently I needed to replace one of the water lines. I needed a odd size piece of specialty hose. I tried several pool/spa stores, two big box stores, and several plumbing supply houses. None of them had what I needed. I left a message for the service guy at Tim"s, he called me back and said that they had what I needed. When I got to their store Tim had to open a new spool to cut me a 3 foot piece. He also gave me good advice on the type of coupling that I should use. Thank you Tim. Prices are more reasonable than most and will even provide advice over the phone. I recently had my basement finished and one thing we wanted was a pool table. so before the contractor started we went to Watson's and ordered a pool table . This was in June of last year. they told us it would be in about August. Well because of covid and other things , the basement was taking longer than expected , and also the problems with deliveries from china, the pool table was pushed back. But by November the basement was almost done, so we went to Woodcraft furniture in Mason to order a cabinet (which we had finished, and it was spectacular). Next door we saw a shop called Tim's pool and spa. I guess that stuck in my mind because on the window it also said Pool Tables. Long story short I called Watson's to check on the pool table and they said it would probably be in in April.Well I waited this long so we finished everything else to complete the basement, but had a large hole where the pool table would go. In April I called Watson's to see about the table . Left a message which wasn't returned for a week . So called again , no return. That's when I remembered about Tim's pool and spa. I thought I'd see what he had. Tim was terrific. He showed me what he had and I was impressed. Then he says he could put a table in my place next week. WHAT??. I bought the table , cancelled my other and was really excited. Tim was able to get it installed the following Wednesday by a fantastic crew of guys. They were meticulous. I highly recommend Tim's! I have been using Tim's pools and spas for over 10 years. It's always nice to have their personal one-on-one service and hands on small business approach at your disposal. They have a wide selection of spas and are always incredibly helpful to answer questions about maintenance be it water or mechanical. Our spa has needed and received excellent service from Doug in the repairs department over the years. He is always cautious not to suggest unnecessary repairs but instead is very thoughtful and considers the age of the spa and the scope of the work that needs to be done. I wandered into Butler County and found a nice store called Tim's Pools and Spas, a family owned and operated "neighborhood pool and spa" business. They have a large selection of spas, which from here on out I will call hot tubs. From Dimension One to Artesian to Dynasty, Tim's has a ton of great hot tubs in the store. I saw many that were priced around $8,000 but I even saw one Artesian for $11,999. Some were bigger than others (two person capacity versus six, for example), but they all were nice and could make anyone who walks into the store want to leave with one. I guess the "pools" in Tim's Pools and Spas is kind of a double meaning, as their other specializations are actually pool tables and water accessories. They have a lot of nice pool tables, as well as lots of neat college (UK, OSU, etc.) pool table accessories for sports fans, and ping pong tables and dartboards too. Tim's also has plenty of water accessories, from pool toys to cleaning supplies an filters. Other water services they offer include opening and closings, inground liner replacements, pumps, and heaters. In the back corner they have a little deck set up with tables and chairs, while on the other side of the store they were even selling tanning beds! I hope those are for tanning companies, because I'd hate to see someone so desperate for a tan that they need to drop three g's for their own personal tanning bed. I liked Tim's Pools and Spas a lot, in part because it is a local, family-owned and operated business. Leslie's Swimming Pool Supplies, although geared more towards swimming pools, has four Cincinnati-area stores and others in over 30 states, so it's nice dealing with local professionals once in a while. Tim's has a great selection of spas--er, hot tubs--but I really liked their college sports accessories for game rooms as well. read more

Every time my wife or I call or leave a message the guy is just rude, like he is doing use a favor. Isn't it the idea of a business to want to help customers; to ensure repeat business. I bought a SPA from Tim in 2000 (after 9/11 - seeking more relaxation time with the family). I had searched the Cinci area for price and service and found him the best (and the closest to my home). This was a great decision. He was on target with his cautions and suggestions - like sit in the hot tub before you buy it and see if the jets hit you right, and that your kids who sit in the hot tub sit high enough that they will not be under water (common sense- but still a great suggestion). I even went back and bought a two-person SPA from him. I have had wonderful service- my questions and concerns are always answered. Tim has good prices and sales as well. We purchased our spa fromTim's Pools and Spas six months ago. We got a great price on a floor model, and a chemical kit was included. The installation was on time and well done. We receive free water analysis any time, and advice in-person or over-the-phone anytime we need it. When walking in, we are always greeted and assisted. We have had help with problem-solving (debris getting into the spa), and there hasn't been anything that we've needed or wanted that Tim's hasn't had in stock. They have a once-yearly Customer Appreciation Day with significant discounts on chemicals, which is when we stock up for the year. We are glad we found Tim's for our spa. read more
