I love the Miamisburg/Dayton Leslies. The staff at the Dayton location are friendly and helpful. DAYTON LESLIE'S IS A GREAT STORE. HOWEVER/BUT the Voice of America Location is an entirely different BAD story. The employees and the manager at the VOICE OF AMERICA location are downright RUDE. I will buy supplies at the Dayton location any time and I will buy online, but the staff at the VOA location will keep me from EVER doing business there even though it is much closer to my house.- UNLESS they replace some employees or do some intensive training with the ones they have, I can't see how they won't lose customers. The one employee (or he may be a manager) should not be working with the public. It is obvious that he hates his job, he acts put out assisting customers, and he appeared hostile in his approach to customers-including me. He gives the clear and distinct appearance that he does not like women. When I would ask a question he would not talk to me, look at me, or answer. I was a foot away and he heard me, he just refused to acknowledge me. When my husband came in, the employee rudely answered the same question when asked by my husband. So, standing next to my husband, I asked another question and the Leslie's employee actually rolled his eyes and did not answer. My husband was shocked. He said, hey!, and asked the employee the same question and the employee rudely answered. My husband noted when we came out of the store that this guy would only talk to the men in the store and outright blew off the women customers. I thought so too! It was a NASTY, WEIRD VIBE in the Voice of America Store. I felt extremely UNCOMFORTABLE and I won't go back. The staffing is too dysfunctional. It only takes one really bad manager or domineering employee to allow a negative culture to infiltrate the store. That has certainly happened at this store. I think that positive change in this store can only come from the top. it seems as if someone from corporate should investigate what is going on at this store. read more
