After my new pool was finally in a position to get opened and start chemical balancing, I realized that I did not know how to translate the chemicals into what I needed to do or how much to add or how and in what order. I went to Heatwave Pool store on Paragon Road. I met two delightful women. Nimra has gone above and beyond to help me to get my pool balanced, and within a week we are almost in a perfect position. Because of her patience and her knowledge and her ability to tell me what and why things needed to be done and to even show me how to do certain things on my filter, I couldn't be more happy with the service that I get at the store. I chose Heatwave Pools based on recommendations from my neighborhood Facebook page, and couldn't be happier with the installation and service. The owner, Paul, stopped by several times during the process to make sure everything was going as planned. We had several challenges during the installation, but Paul and his team made sure that EVERYTHING was to my satisfaction. The pool had to be moved to a different area of my yard, which meant extra digging, removal of my old deck, additional concrete, and completely reconfiguring the pump, piping, electrical, etc. All of this work was done by his crew at no extra expense, and I am so happy with the results. At first I wasn't thrilled with the positioning of the pool, but Paul assured me that by the time they were done it would look like part of the landscape. And he was right! I love love love the results, the customer service, and the personal attention. As a single woman, I have had my share of shady contractors trying to take advantage. But with Heatwave, I didn't have to worry. They communicated with me just about every day during the process and responded quickly to all my questions/concerns. Great experience all around. I used another company last year to close my pool. I won't disclose their name. I was charged $1800 for my closing. I called Heatwave Pools this year. They were prompt and attentive. Explained the process to me. I was charged a fraction of the cost of the other guys. I will come back next year for my services. Two thumbs up. After contacting several different companies to purchase an in ground pool, we ended up going with Heatwave Pools. They got started pretty quickly with digging the hole for the pool and such which was exciting! They installed the liner of the pool and stuck our water hose in it to fill it up. I walked out to look at it and noticed the corners of the pool had a lot of space in between the liner and foundation of the pool. I thought that was weird, but figured it would fix itself once it was completely filled up with water. By the steps of the pool, they did not cut the pipes properly so it was just sticking up on the sides of the steps. Again..I thought this was strange but figured it could be something that was fixed later. We also purchased an automatic pool covering for the pool, which they said a separate company would come out to install. It took several weeks for that company to come out and install the pool cover. Meanwhile, it's fall and our pool is just open with all the leaves and gunk going in to the pool. Someone came out to inspect the pool covering and in passing mentioned that when they came to replace the liner, they would redo the pool school. Of course this was a shock to me, because I didn't know the brand new liner would need to be replaced. Apparently, It was not installed correctly and they had ripped it. The corner pieces were not put in when the liner was installed, so that empty space I was feeling from before was in fact not supposed to be like that. The piping by the stairs was also not done correctly. They also had put the electrical panels that control the pools lights, heat, etc. on the side of the house which we were promised would all be fixed. The guy stated someone would be out in the next few days to the electrical panel. Let's fast forward almost 5 months. Someone from Heatwave finally comes out to remove all the garbage and extra pieces they left from installing the pool. Fast forward 2 more months nobody has replaced the electrical panel. And here we are currently. On the day that was scheduled months ago that they were supposed to be here to drop a pump in the pool to drain it so that the liner could be replaced tomorrow and the next day...and they cancelled it. And they once again have to send someone out to look at the electric panel. In between all these months of the pool originally being installed and now. I have contacted them so many times regarding the pool and the panel. If I ever get a phone call back, it's always "a work order is being put in" and I never hear anything. Or, I am given an appointment day and time and it's cancelled on the day of the appointment. In total we paid around $125,000 for this pool. A pool we have yet to be able to use. A pool that was poorly installed and needs to replaced. And with a company that keeps giving us the run around. I would give anything to go back in time and choose a different company. This has been a horrific experience. read more

I used to be very happy with their services, they were always very prompt, but then I never knew what they were going to charge to open or close the pool (and it varied significantly) but today when I went to have another company come to open my pool I was told that when they closed my pool last season they broke the multi-port on my filter and failed to tell me that it was broken, and now I am out over $300 plus labor due to the negligence of Heatwave, and this is a filter that they installed just 4 years ago - so I would think that a filter and its multi port would last longer than 4 years. read more

This company deserves every 1 star review it has. DO NOT use this company. I paid this company $664 on 9/3/20 to come and do a full inspection on a pool for a home I am buying. Upon inspection this company discovered the liner of the pool needed to be replaced. After 3 back and fourth phone calls with the office staff, and 1 phone call to the owner we finally were able to receive a 1 sentence email with a quote for a new liner. After sorting out the remaining details with the sellers of the home, today on 9/18/20, 15 days later I placed a call to schedule a replacement liner. I was told to contact the owner to schedule and I did. The owner then had someone from his company contact me back to tell me they no longer service my area. 15 WHOLE DAYS AFTER THEY FELT COMFORTABLE CHARGING ME $634 TO SERVICE MY AREA. If they knew they were cutting that area out of service they should have notified me before I even decided to work with them. Customer service is non existent here. I feel like I was completely scammed out of my money. 15 days is an unacceptable timeline to suddenly decide you're not going to help me after I've been working with you. This company was referred to me by someone, but I highly advise anyone looking for some service to STAY AWAY. Unless you want to be completely ripped off and be treated like garbage by the office staff. The way this company treats is paying customers is completely laughable. If this wasn't a referral I would have stayed away with all the 1 star reviews if already has. Anyone looking for a pool company should heed the warnings already given. read more

Signed a contract on May 2, 2018 to have our inground pool acid washed, sealed and painted. Was told by the owner, Paul, that this would be done by Memorial Day - we were 5th or 6th on the list. The week before 4th of July our pool still had not been done. The owner said he would open our pool, using his chemicals, at no charge. It took 4 days and numerous phone calls and some of our own chemicals to get the water clear. Several times during the 4 days, they sent out a college kid, Kevin, to clean the pool. We watched him from the window. Kevin was more interested in his phone and playing his music - he was here all of 10 minutes and claimed he cleaned the whole pool. Our pool is 18x36 - impossible to clean in 10 minutes!!! After a ton of excuses from the owner, they finally did come and paint the pool (when we signed the contract we were 5th on the list - somehow by mid June we dropped to 30th on the list, by beginning of July we dropped to 50th!!!) The paint looks ok, but they did not clean up after - left paint/white powder on the concrete. After the job was finally done, we received a phone call from Shelby stating the balance we owed - of course, this amount was more than what was on the contract!!! BEWARE of this company, full of excuses, terrible at returning phone calls, talk to someone different every time you call and no one seems to know what the other is doing!!! read more

Horrible customer service! Do NOT use this company. Service technicians do not come out when scheduled. Service technicians are not very knowledgeable. Constant phone calls to owner to get the service we paid for. Owner makes promises he is unable to keep. Overpriced, and definitely not the kind of service I expected from their advertised full service company. Extremely disappointed is an understatement.
