Level Up Baths - Excessive gap in faucet handle. Also filed with Dayton BBB.

Level Up Baths

Steer clear of Level Up Baths. Sadly, there is no rating below 1 star. Company work is shoddy and…read morejob was left incomplete. Contact with salesperson and office manager was a waste of time. Complaint with texts, pictures and email messages were filed with BBB in Dayton but were considered unsubstantiated. Owner claims he was never notified. Nick the owner states that he was never notified and has NEVER bothered to contact me personally. The surrounds were of poor acrylic quality (folded over and would not stand alone when leaned against a wall) and installed sloppily. The 2 plastic corner trim pieces did not match the color of the surrounds or the tub, and consequently were not installed. ALL exposed caulking applications were amateurish and sloppy. Caulk was applied thickly, in waves, and uneven wherever applied. The crew was unable to mount either the soap dish or shower shelves that were purchased, leaving them on the floor of the tub. The installers failed to finish the wall below the alcove mounted tub edge on both sides. The crew failed to correctly install the faucet handle forcing the faucet handle to protrude about 2.5 inches from the escutcheon or cover face plate. The shower head, handle, faucet and drain are not aligned. (See attached pictures) Another construction team was hired to trim out the bath/shower/surround/drywall and remount the faucet handle to fit flush against the cover plate. There is a total lack of oversight, leadership, quality control, workmanship, follow-up or responsiveness of Level Up Bath or it's employees. Their word is not their bond and the 100% guarantee is not worth the paper it's printed on! Save yourself some grief and thousands of hard-earned dollars. Definitely NOT RECOMMENDED.

As soon as we had a significant problem arise........The owner Kyle, was not returning my calls. Then when the job was complete......and mold was growing up the sides of the shower (after 2 months of using it), he would not return my husbands calls. My husband finally got through to someone at the Columbus location and they sent two well trained guys who were able to tear out all the mold and caulk and redo it. There were several other problems that don't need to be mentioned, but I had contractors working for me who could not believe I paid $15,000 for this. They said they could have done my shower for under $5,000 with REAL tile. It is sad that there are such greedy people in this world. Oh.......I need to mention they gave me only $500 off for ordering the wrong shower tray. They then had to order a new one. We could not use our shower for over 8 weeks.

From our first contact with Jason (sales) to the final inspection with Erik (Production Manager) the entire project and finished product is EXCELLENT. Jason LISTENED to everything we desired for our new kitchen and submitted a design and proposal that, after a few minor tweeks, met our requirements and budget. Jason and Erik visited our home, reviewed the drawings, made some suggestions, and set an approximate start date. When working with a contractor communication is a primary requirement. We were constantly updated on start dates, daily and weekly planning, daily progress, and any minor delays. Any questions we had were responded to with specific answers, not generalities. Prior to the project commencing, Erik introduced us to David (project manager) who informed us of the procedures and the temporary inconveniences we would be experiencing. The renovation began on schedule. David coordinated the entire project with his team, John and Dan (plumbers), Vern (electrician), Fred (painters), and Max (delivery and cleanup), all who did everything to make this process as unimposing as possible. As each day concluded, the area was cleared and cleaned. We now have a beautiful new kitchen. Kitchens By Design's staff and attention to detail are a hallmark for other companies to emulate.
