Although I was about to purchase a hot tub from a large, well known dealer in Corona, I decided to look at Custom Spas Direct, which has good online reviews and happens to be very close to our house. I'm glad I did. I was not familiar with the Vita spa brand that Custom Spas Direct sells. There's very little information available online. After doing some digging, I determined that Vita is a decent, mid-range spa with competitive pricing. Nothing fancy, but it's built with good components from companies like Balboa Water Group. Dealing with Custom Spas Direct has been fantastic. It's a small company and we interacted directly with Jim Galpin, the owner. Jim is a straightforward guy and he was very helpful in choosing a spa. Since I was unfamiliar with Vita, I had a lot of questions and he patiently answered all of them. He quickly responded whenever I sent him a text with a question or request. After the purchase, he was super flexible with regard to delivery, setup timing, coordinating with the electrician's schedule, etc. The delivery and setup was quick and well done. The installer did a good job answering all of my questions. We've had the spa six months and have had a couple of minor issues. One was probably due to user error on my part and the other was not. In both cases, Jim responded to my texts immediately and quickly resolved my issue, even during a holiday week. I'm so glad I purchased from a local dealer that provides such fantastic service after the sale. I'm sure a larger dealer would not have given us the same treatment. Thanks Jim! Five stars!

We also got a few other bids from other companies, but their designs were so much less impressive and attractive that they weren't worth doing at all. We finally decided to move forward with a scaled-back version in late 2023. Garden View replaced our curved, multilevel brick patio with a modern paver one that is much larger and nicer. They also squared out our driveway and replaced most of our plants and trees with nicer versions. In the process, we also discovered that there were a number of foundation problems with our garage and office and they did all of that work too. He held on to my $4500 deposit from April 7th until May 3rd when the work finally began. The pool sat in a demo state from May 3rd until May 15th when the plumbing work began. The pebble tec was completed on May 22nd. A 2 week process took 6 1/2 weeks. Arman refilled the pool and did not return to complete the required re-entry process. Oh ...and I have a GREEN pool that looks like a dirty lagoon instead of the midnight blue I ordered. Do with this information what you will.
