Spoke with management on my first trip to buy products for our new above ground pool. I forgot his name but he was knowledgeable curious and very helpful. As a store should be whether it is a furniture store like Jerome's Furniture that doesn't know the meaning if customer service to a pool store like LESLIES POOL SUPPLIES. Manager didn't recommend unnecessary products. Told me exactly what I needed and discouraged any if the multitude if products Clorox suggested on their app after testing. And I was extremely happy. He even gave me a sample bottle for water and suggested I get a sample I f the water if there were any issues and he would test it for me and help me resolve the problem. It's been over a month and my pool is perfect with the one product I bought. Absolutely horrendous experience. I had one single problem with my pool heating equipment. A technician came out and told me it would cost $750 to fix. Afterwards, the same problem persisted. This company sent out a new technician, where he basically just guessed what the problem could be. He left, promising to get back to me, and never did. They basically stole $750 from me and then left me hanging. Terrible. Avoid at all costs. read more

I recently bought a home in Garden Grove that has a pool. I've never owned a pool and know nothing about the maintenance. I would like to know how to properly maintain my pool and decided to go to the professionals. I work long hours during the week so weekends are my only available time to come in. The guys that work at the Euclid location are very nice, and helpful. They are great with the complimentary water test and the time they spend to make sure you understand each part of the test. I have an above ground pool so I thought I would get laughed out of the store yet they spent a lot of time to make sure I got the water chemistry correct. I have had to go to the Orange store to pick up items also and that store is much bigger and equally helpful employees. The only thing they need to work on is the website shipping to homes. They ship from the East coast and it took almost two weeks to get items I could have went and got. Three day at most shipping Leslie's! read more

Hoping to go and seek some information about how to keep it clean and by a skimmer my husband left this store with nothing but an attitude problem that I now have to deal with. He was asking questions about where to by a skimmer and an adapter for a hose for the vaccum and basically was treated like he was stupid and waisting the workers time. In times like these I always tell my kids to be kind and patient you never know who really needs a little kindness. In this case my husband was made to feel like he wasn't worth their time and his questions were stupid. If your going to work with the public try using some compassion. Met Jason and Kyle They talked us through the Learning curve and have continued to do so to this day. Jason, he knows pools and if he does not know he will find out. Just had all new pool equipment installed for our pool. Had some issues initially with install but the great news was Leslie of Anaheim resolves the problems. I have been going to the store for a few months and they have really helped me out from being a newbie to doing my own weekly pool service. They have a good monthly pool chemical program and pretty much hold your hand until you get the chemical process down. Great customer service in the store. Nothing like a company that can resolve the inevitable issues that may arise with old pools and new equipment and trying to identify the leaks. Happy with the equipment and the commitment Danny made to resolve our issue. Nothing to do with Leslie but in addition to the equipment we need to invest in a new pool skimmer and replace some copper pipes from a 50+ year old pool. read more

Good News: I now have a house with a pool! Bad News: I now have a house with a pool... that I have to take care of. I admit I'm obsessed with watching the little skimmer jump around my pool and suck up leaves and stuff. Seriously, I waste a lot of time watching that stupid thing. So when it stopped bouncing around it really annoyed me! I went in to Leslie's to find out why and the manager Jason clued me in: A Dirty Filter. Jason is super helpful, nice, and willing to teach me anything I want to know. I learned how to replace, clean, and maintain my pool filter with his help! Sure it cost me a few clams, but I did it myself and saved TONS more money by doing it that way than having a pool guy do it. When you own a home, there's a lot that can go wrong and things can add up quick. It makes it easier when you get the help that you need with cool friendly people like the guys here at this Leslie's location. Well I'm glad that she directed me here because not only did I have a wonderful experience from the great customer service but I also got my pool into good condition! So proud because I did most of it myself! So cute a cool new hobby! Conner walked me through each step patiently as I wrote it all down (I am very detail oriented, must write it all down and do each step lol) I came back a few days to see if I did a good job and retested the water and it was in good status! this location is the BEST!!!! before I entered the this Anaheim location store, i went to the Cerritos location and was awfully disappointed. it totally ruined my first pool supplies store experience.. i called my friend and she was like... Girl.. you have to go the Anaheim location. When my bf and I entered the Anaheim location, we were greeted w/ smiles and the staffed, very helpful and knowledgeable. We told them we were first time pool owners and they reassured us that they will help us all the way. The first thing we needed to do was bring a pool water sample. We tried to convince the sales guy that our pool was ok to swim and we just needed some chlorine. the sales guy was honest and said, i really want to help you but i really do not want to misguide you b/c we do not know anything about your pool.. we need a pool water sample... after 15 mins of explaining the reasons why.. we rushed home.. got a sample of pool water and then raced back... then another pool sales guy helped us.. after he tested our water sample.. he educated us about everything.. we felt so knowledgeable and thankful.. he purchased what we needed and raced home to get the pool ready. So my girlfriend and I recently bought our first house in Cerritos with a POOL! Super excited coming from our apartment in West Hollywood where everyone (including tourists, transients and your mom) came to convene constantly. Anyhoo... We finally got our house (and pool) together for a Labor Day/housewarming party. We are first time homeowners and love our salt water pool! We have a pool guy that comes once a week and my girlfriend dutifully pulls out every stray, leaf, bee and drowned ant that meets its maker. The day of our party we opened it to family and kids. Now, I love kids (I'm a teacher) and was thrilled to share our pool with them. However, at the end of the evening we noticed something in the bottom the pool... It's what our nightmares are made of...the brown floater.. ARRGGHH!!! Sunday we called up Leslie's in Anaheim and made the trek after my girlfriend spoke with Tyler on the phone. We brought in a water sample and they explained very clearly what we needed to do to treat our pool. Tyler was very knowledgable and professional. We also met Jason who convinced my girlfriend that she DID NOT need to buy a new net since she bleached the heck out of the old one (germ-phobe). As customers came in everyone was greeted and helped promptly (some even by name!). One younger girl came in with her father and one of the guys genuinely asked her about her science project and the award she had won! This is beyond customer service! While we didn't get to enjoy our pool for the rest of the weekend (or that week)..we were so grateful to Jason and Tyler. If we ever have any questions or concerns we know who to call! (P.S. There's another review on here about the rude employees. Not surprised. My Dads a veteran and a hard working man. He's always busy working (mechanic/can build anything!)... he cleans his pool and when he needs supplies sometimes he comes in this place. Twice now he's complained about the rude manager. This idiot said "do you always wear a uniform, are you always working" not in jest, he was just being a jerk. They give a military discount. So today he goes to ring up my Dad. And my Dad says "did you add the military discount?". The guy says "you should have told me before I rang you up". First of all RUDE. Second, you mean to tell me this guy knows what outfits my Dad wears every time he's there but cannot remember his own stores discount policy?!? If this store is not doing well I'd be willing to bet he's the reason. They are overpriced but if managent was nicer, people would still come in. What a déterrant. Store owner if you see this please consider your 40 something manager as a high financial risk to your long standing business. I'm opening up my Amazon account to my Dad. Had an old nautilus that needed a gasket Called the store - they had it!! And put it in my basket. It was a bit of a drive But the guys at this store Speak my jive. They knew my old filter well Set me up with some new parts- That fit the bill! Was kinda concerned about spending a lot Til Jason said "hey- give you 10% off- i said--sure, why not!?!? In my city of Cerritos, we have our own Leslie's Swimming Pool Supplies but it doesn't compare to the service, tips, and great help I get from Jason and Tyler. So yes, I make the 20 min drive just to go see them. And I'm going there today to have my water tested and also stock up on supplies. I'm excited to get a pool heater from them later this month. If you own a pool, let me save you some time: JUST CALL JASON. Based on Yelp reviews, I didn't bother to try any other Leslie store, even the one right up the street from me. I just called Jason. I called Jason about getting a new pool pump for the house I recently purchased. He said that for any new pool equipment, he requires an onsite visit by a tech so that they can see the existing setup and order the right parts. Previously, my friend tried to have his pump replaced through a different store without an on site visit, and it ended up taking several weeks and tons of hassle because the tech needed extra parts and a different pump--so right away, I knew that Jason understood the issues. If you are getting new equipment, the $70 fee is well worth the cost to avoid the hassle of ordering the wrong parts or not ordering the necessary parts. And a portion of that fee is applied to your purchase or install. After talking to Jason and the tech, Russ, about my existing equipment, I decided to replace all of my old equipment with a new pump, filter, and heater. It cost $5,000 (ouch), but my pool is now sparkling and very low maintenance. Jason took care of all of the details, Russ did an amazing job with the install, and I now spend very little time maintaining my pool. Everything works flawlessly, and Jason is just a call away if I have any questions. A few months ago, I realized that my two pool lights were filled with algae, and learned that it meant the lights had been leaking (for a long time). Unfortunately that also means the lights have to be replaced completely. I tried going to my local Cerritos Leslie's store, but they had no idea how to look up the part numbers for new LED lights. Admittedly, the products and part numbers are a confusing mess, but this is what they supposedly do. So I left the store frustrated and then called Jason. After speaking with him about my pool light setup, Jason again recommended an on site visit to make sure there wouldn't be any issues replacing my lights. The tech came out, verified that my junction boxes would not be a problem, and was able to give Jason the info he needed to order the correct lights. The install went very smoothly, and $1,700 later (ouch), I have two new Pentair LED lights that use about 10% of the electricity of incandescent pool lights. I now gladly turn on the pool lights for the kids, who love the rainbow colors of the "light show" that the LED lights produce. I now have 100% LED lights throughout my house--including the pool. I've spent almost $7,000 with Jason, and he is the only person I trust for such purchases, and one of the very few people that I have spoken with who seems to know what they are talking about when it comes to pools. There is a very good reason why he gets these positive reviews. Just call Jason. read more

Awful awful service!!! First visit and will never go back again. The workers there are arrogant and act as if they are doing you a favor by helping you. Talked us into buying a bunch of overpriced chemicals that we could've bought for a fraction of the price somewhere else. So disappointed. We wanted to return the stuff once we saw how expensive it was but they don't do returns. Stupid jerks. I had the worst experience. We are just another sale to them.
