We enjoyed our meal last night (8/16/2026)! I found Degarios on Yelp as we just arrived in…read moreHillsboro and wanted to find a good non-chain Italian restaurant. We started with the garlic bread. The garlic wasn't overpowering and went well with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Both of us got salads - I had the arugula almond and my friend had the pear goat cheese. I paired the salad with the tomato focaccia and my friend had the lobster ravioli. The focaccia had a generous portion of tomatoes and paired nicely with the mozzarella and balsamic drizzle. It was nicely seasoned and not greasy. The lobster ravioli was tasty though the cream sauce was a little on the heavy side. We took the ravioli and focaccia back to our hotel. Service was friendly and our food arrived quickly. Restaurant wasn't crowded and we were seated right away. I just moved to Hillsboro for grad school and look forward to returning!

Our daughter LOVES this Italian restaurant, so we thought we'd give it a try. (You can tell a lot about a restaurant just from their restrooms and condition of menus.) I was craving crab or lobster, only being satisfied by the coastal restaurants, so I was eager to try the Lobster Ravioli. The flavor of the sauce, the fresh veggies mixed into the sauce, the size of the raviolis... AMAZING! My entree was $25 and worth every penny. I ordered a Strawberry Mojito which was $10 and delightfully refreshing. My husband only eats Lasagna when dining out for Italian. He ordered the Lasagna Bolognese, let me add he won't eat tomato chunks. There wasn't a drop left of his meal. He thoroughly enjoyed every single bite of his entree. His entree was also $25 and clearly worth it. Our server was Jassiel. We had a short discussion about the history of the restaurant. It is family owned & operated by both of his parents, as well as he & his brother as serving/bartending. The customer service was so sincere & upbeat, we'll definitely be dining here again.

Upon walking in, I was expecting flowers on the table and at the least a fully inflated balloon. Walked into a booth with a half inflated balloon and no flowers. Unfortunately, one of the executive chefs had left for an emergency which I understand. This left my wife and I unable to experience about half the menu. We ordered our appetizer and entrees at the same time, appetizer came out rather quickly which is expected as it was just bread and tomatoes. Although the entrees never made it out. We were given complimentary bread and tomato soup and a drink on the house for the long wait. Tons of delays because of one of the chefs not being present but over an hour and a half for entrees is crazy. Although our waitress was kind and accommodating, we decided that instead of wasting our time, we decided we would just pay for whatever we received. The waitress let us know that they waived everything and we left without a bill. Very disappointing but as it was our first impression, I'm hoping that it was just a rough night for them. No management came to our table with any kind of updates or apology. The waitress that helped us is the one getting praise.

It's for sure more of an upscale experience with dimmed lights and fancy decor. Even though it was busy on Tuesday, we sat in the bar, which is open seating lots of tables in the bar as well as the bar itself posted at east 12 spots. Our service was wonderful and the food was fantastic. They in fact serve Lavazza coffee, which there aren't to many restaurants, serving a high-quality Italian coffee. Food: excellent lots of choices pasta, antipasto, salads, seafood, vegetarian, braised spare ribs, Service: Excellent and very accommodating for special needs like mobility or special orders. Recommend reservations to get a perfect table for your party, but it is a large restaurant so ok to stop by too. You can also bring your own wine for a $25 corking fee - great way to use your nice wines with friends without the mess at home! Ambience: Excellent with low lighting and fabulous chandiliers and nice tables with white tables clothes - definitely a nice dress up spot, but you can go casually as well. Had great visit with our friends in a group of 6 and definitely thought it was a great evening out. And P.S. - they have Happy Hour from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm every night with 50% off drinks. We started with a savory popover with charcuterie, then moved on to a scallop appetizer, seafood plate, spaghetti with morels and a napoleon for dessert. There was also a grapefruit ice palette cleanser. I ate everything with relish. This is the French way of eating, small plates which go together and space out the delights over the evening. All the ingredients were seasonal and fresh. The café is rather small and intimate, with mid-century decor and a friendly chef. I would not bring a large party as it's a small, home in the wall. Imagine you are in a small Parisian bistro and let yourself enjoy every minute.

This is a somewhat belated review, as my wife and I ate at Don's on April 3rd…read more This was our first visit to Don's in Beaverton. We knew that Beaverton is becoming a known foodie destination and Don's is an example of some of the higher-end restaurant options making an appearance. We were told Don's has been here a year already, so we're glad we found it. This is a small and intimate venue, something like only 6 tables. The kitchen is open for those who love to watch the chef do his thing. I usually love to do this myself, but I became so focused on enjoying the remarkable food that was placed before us that I forgot to watch. The server's name escapes me, but he was wonderful and good at his job! He also was the person who picked the wine pairings for the meal. And what an outstanding pairing it was! Would I recommend the wine parings? Yes, I would. Don's is not cheap experience, by the way. The dinner is pre-fixe, but the wine pairings have two options and prices: full glass or half-glass. My wife and I opted for the half-glass pairing and were pleasantly surprised this this sufficed perfectly with respect to both cost and amount of wine. One memorable pairing was the sparkling Reisling we were served with our oysters! Wow, so perfect and tasty! Who knew? Well, our server a.k.a. wine steward did, for sure. In fact, we loved every dish we were served! Pictures are below. I don't remember the specific names, unfortunately. Between our server and Don, we were well taken care of during our meal. As I mentioned the venue is small, so probably not a place you'd want to bring small children. This is more of a date night (if you really want to impress) or special occasion place, or for those times when you just want to treat yourself to a great meal experience, which is what brought us to Don's. We are feeling very fortunate to have finally discovered Don's Favorite Foods in Beaverton. We will definitely be back!
