    Love Pasta - steak Alfredo
    Kim R.

Perfect name, cuz we loooved our pasta. We ran here Sunday night, I've been meaning to try it for a while. Luckily no wait that night. I wanted chicken Alfredo but he was out of chicken, so we opted for steak. I added broccoli to mine, and my husband added mushrooms and tomato. We also grabbed some breadsticks, of course. The food was ready fast, and although we brought it home it was still piping hot when we arrived. The pasta was FABULOUS...hands down the best pasta we've had in the area. So incredibly flavorful, and although I'd wanted chicken the steak was perfectly cooked and tasty. No complaints, only love for Love Pasta! We will be back. :)

I dont like writing negative reviews but we are not serving the community unless we are honest. From all the stellar reviews, I was expecting to thoroughly enjoy my meal from Love Pasta. Sadly, that was not the case. The noodles were too chewy and clumped together. The marinara tasted like something out of a jar. If the gravy is indeed made from scratch, I can only say that it was bland and uninspired. I got the "Create your own pasta" with marinara. I paid for extra sauce (mistake) and added broccoli. Most of the items on Love Pasta's menu are meat based so my choices were limited as a vegetarian. Perhaps the meat dishes have more character. I also got the Veggie Medley dish again with marinara. Both items were packaged nicely and looked tempting when I got them home. But that is where the excitement ended. I grew up in upstate NY surrounded by Italian neighbors whose kitchens produce food that fine restaurants can't match. So it's understandable when an italian food cart in Oregon doesn't impress me. The food I got today from Love Pasta was decent but I was hoping for more.

Pretty disappointed after reading all the rave reviews. Had the chicken Alfredo and Blue Raspberry Italian Soda. The pasta was good but the chicken was definitely dry and the top of the Alfredo had that "food warmer" feel on top that had a crust and was slightly crispy. Ratings might have had my hope up but I would "overpay" for good Italian food. The sauce itself was great and the noodles were cooked perfectly. If not for the chicken and crusty top it might have been spectacular. The Italian Soda was very separated and after trying to stir it ended up with most the flavor in the first drink.

Wow. Totally fell in love with this place and the owner. The pasta is fresh made along with the sauce and it's so good! I tried the shrimp and steak alfredo and really enjoyed it. It was perfectly creamy and not runny at all. Some of the alfredo that I've tried in the area is too creamy and fills you up after a couple bites but this place was perfectly done. The pasta is firm and chewy and you can taste that it's been made to order. I plan to return soon to try the bolognese one :) Also! The owner was sooo nice! He opened this place up in the midst of all that's going on lately so I can't even imagine the hardships it's put on the business. All I can say is that I'm glad I found it and I can't wait to keep supporting this place going forward. Update: tried the bolognese fettuccine and it was delish! I asked for it extra spicy and it def had a nice kick to it. Will order again.

Top layer of my pasta was filled with veggies and meat!

HORRIBLE service. wow. I definitely won't be coming back. Very rude worker who was incredibly passive aggressive when I ordered. Disappointing.

I ordered a build your own pasta via Ubereats and it turned out so good! I highly recommend making a steak alfredo with extra steak. The steak was really juicy and had a wonderful flavor. The sauce was good too. I also ordered a lavender coke because how could I resist? It was delicious! I want to try the almond roca next! I had to treat myself with dessert too, so I ordered the cheesecake and it had a really nice crust and flavor. They also included a really sweet note that made my whole week. I will definitely be ordering from here again. They clearly care about their customers and the quality of their products. 10/10.

GPS (and no one else) told us it was a food truck. Our food was hot and delicious, pasta tastes fresh (clearly not dry boxed pasta). We ordered: Surf & Turf Alfredo, Spicy bolognese, Cacio e Pepe with bacon spinach and garlic, strawberry cheesecake, Italian sodas: peach & vanilla. Surf & turf alfredo was amazing! Nice portion size, good meat, shrimp perfectly cooked. Owner is really nice and the food tastes like there was heart and effort put into it.

This pizza is not cheap, but it use to be our favorite, we hadn't been in the area for a while so getting this horrible order when we came back is a shock. We ordered early and were the only pick up and customers in sight, no one was busy at all - they were standing talking at the bar. My Alfredo chicken pizza was half burned so the crust tastes bad, the chicken was completely dried out like chewing jerky and the most confusing part - the garlic is raw, crunchy and not roasted at all - like it was thrown on raw after they were burned the rest. The spicy meat had 2 inch ring of crust so there were barely any toppings and they completely forgot the namesake ingredient - the sriracha. For pizza this expensive, I'd expect them to keep portions regular (at least matching throughout an order) and the staff to know how to prepare and check each pizza.

I'm giving them the missing star. Nothing has really changed: The pizza remains about as good or…read morepassable as you're going to get West of Beaverton, the cocktail menu is still the best kept secret in town, and the live music makes it clear that any band that has a night off from the low-rollers' lounge at Spirit Mountain or Ilanai will always have a home... and that any plumber in this town can play Mustang Sally for an evening if they have a Home Depot bucket and no inhibitions. So what's the extra star for? For putting up with what we're going to call "The Downtown Hillsboro Clientele." This isn't everyone who shows up for a meal or a drink in Downtown Hillsboro, mind you, but everyone who makes that experience seem like their personal cross to bear. The Downtown Hillsboro Clientele starts the evening by complaining that they had to park half a block away from the restaurant when, just 10 years ago, they could park directly in front of it. The Downtown Hillsboro Clientele is shocked when it has to wait more than two minutes for a table. The Downtown Hillsboro Clientele is regularly baffled by a restaurant's core menu items. It recoils when seeing Spanish words used in tapas dishes. It asks if the sweet mango wings are spicy. It wonders if your well-reviewed izakaya has teriyaki dishes like the place in the strip mall. It asks for six different beer tasters, but never a flight. It complains that you put a sandwich on a bagel, then complains when that sandwich leaves the menu. It spits out garlic on a Margherita pizza. That last bit of tourist classism I just won't abide. It's one thing when some tronfio northerner looks down on a southern pizza eater for indulging in some garlic... it's another when some borioso 'medigan who took one cruise around the boot decides that makes them the Barefoot Contessa of Forest Grove. Unfortunately for your delicate little white-bread-and-ranch palate, not only will that offending garlic frequently make its way onto Pizza Marinara, but pizziolos who've actually eaten pizza in southern Italy at establishments devoid of tablecloths will tell you that garlic finds its way onto Pizza Margherita either in the sauce, in infused olive oil, or--gasp--in garlic powder. And this is really going to knock you on your ass, but East of the Mississippi? East of the Tualatin? Yeah, folks throw garlic on Margherita pies constantly. And you're going to knock points off because the basil's burnt? On a brick oven pizza? I'm attaching a photo of a margherita pizza upon which the basil is so scorched that it's basically chips. The place that pizza came from? Ken's Artisan: The best pizza in this entire state. That may be the last time you see me compare Pizzario to them, but if you're going to knock the place for what the best pizzamakers in the region regularly do... then I'm sorry, but just start ordering from Papa Murphy's. The Downtown Hillsboro Clientele will not be satisfied until there are a maximum of three restaurants downtown, each of those restaurants serves a menu out of a 1950s luncheonette, all of them close promptly at 8 p.m., and they're surrounded by no fewer than eight antique stores, 10 barber shops with owners over 80, and two mortuaries to shuffle those barbers and luncheonette regulars off this mortal coil. Downtown Hillsboro's biggest obstacle to growth isn't foot traffic, parking, or diversity of offerings--its an obstinate core of old cranks that refuses to learn anything modestly new even if staff holds their hand throughout the entire process. I credit Pizzario for doing the slow, patient work of converting the willing one new pizza, cocktail menu, and local band at a time. Downtown Hillsboro is changing adimirably in spite of the toddler palates and temperaments of its most thick-skulled Clientele.

The only caveat would be that I specially requested cheese on the side for a salad we ordered due to a couple of guests who had strict dairy allergies. It was the only salad at our buffet so we wanted it to be inclusive but with the choice for others to add cheese if they desired. So... while they did put mozzarella on the side, they still added Parmesan (or something that looked like Parmesan) to the salad. Then when I brought it up, the person delivering it tried to say it was okay to eat because it was just whey. Well - I did specially request cheese to be on the side. Dairy allergies are no joke and if they couldn't accommodate modifications, they could have just communicated that from the get-go. Other than that, they were pretty great about everything else. From setting up buffet tables to a nice tablecloth and warmers with servers. It made it easier for our group as a lot was going on. Edit on July 14: Owner responded and it was clearly a miscommunication. They thought I asked for mozzarella on the side but in my text messages, I see that I originally asked that if the salad came with any cheese, that it be on the side. But when confirming via text messages (at a busy time when they were moving from one location to another), my texts evolved from going from "any cheese on the side" to "cheese on the side" - which probably made them think I was ordering more/extra cheese on the side (?). I never specified what cheese to have on the side because I didn't actually know if the salad came with cheese in the first place let alone what kind. Either way, I'm glad they would be willing to accommodate a food restriction in the future.

Upon walking in, I was expecting flowers on the table and at the least a fully inflated balloon. Walked into a booth with a half inflated balloon and no flowers. Unfortunately, one of the executive chefs had left for an emergency which I understand. This left my wife and I unable to experience about half the menu. We ordered our appetizer and entrees at the same time, appetizer came out rather quickly which is expected as it was just bread and tomatoes. Although the entrees never made it out. We were given complimentary bread and tomato soup and a drink on the house for the long wait. Tons of delays because of one of the chefs not being present but over an hour and a half for entrees is crazy. Although our waitress was kind and accommodating, we decided that instead of wasting our time, we decided we would just pay for whatever we received. The waitress let us know that they waived everything and we left without a bill. Very disappointing but as it was our first impression, I'm hoping that it was just a rough night for them. No management came to our table with any kind of updates or apology. The waitress that helped us is the one getting praise.
