This is a great pizza parlor! Two years ago, we stumbled across this place after enjoying some wine at Raptor Ridge. We didn't expect much, but we were pleasantly surprised! The pizza is excellent, lots of toppings, like they used to make pizza! The service is good, and the ambiance is great for what it is - a pizza parlor. We shared a Greek salad and really enjoyed it. We love this place!!! If we ate out more then we'd eat here more for sure. We've never tried the salads but look amazing. My only complaint is we don't get pizza to go anymore. Best pizza I've ever had! Love their crust which I never eat. Cauliflower pizza is super great and I like it almost more! Friendliest staff ever. Walked in to find every empty table dirty so we asked if someone could clean one. They picked a table, in the mostly empty restaurant, directly next to a very loud party of 15+. They ask you to tip when you order but apparently giving a good tip doesn't improve your experience as half of our tables order was completely missed so two of us had to wait several extra minutes for our food. The food was just okay to us. We tried a calzone, a pizza, a cubano, the cheese bread, and the crispy pepperoni. The pepperoni was probably the best thing. I have come here a few times on a Tuesday night for Trivia, and it's pretty damn good. They have anything from standard to more unique, and the pizzas we've had are great. I know our group has gotten variations of the Hose Puller and the Hook and Ladder, both were excellent. It's some of the best pizza I've had. The location is out there I think no matter where you're at, but well worth the drive. It's spacious, clean and I believe they are supporters of fire and rescue, along with having a good amount of Fire Dept decor. There are a few younger people working the counter, but we've never had an issue with it. I think in general, because of the location, it's more of a relaxed atmosphere, so if you're looking for a hurried pace or a place that's just turning out volume, this probably isn't it, but I appreciate that it's not. Another note, the owner came out the last time I was here and talked to my group about our experience there, wanted to make sure that we were enjoying it, wanted to know if we had any feedback, etc. I think he mentioned that he had bought it recently (sorry I misheard that) and he was looking to keep the same quality and vibe while making small improvements. This is a great spot! It's a perfect place to go after wine tasting. The first time my husband and I had this pizza we took it to go. It was so tasty we convinced my father in law and brother in law to come with us to try it a second time. They have some free games like foosball and shuffle board. What a gem in the middle of farmland Hillsboro! Came here for my fiancé's birthday on a Friday night and it did not disappoint! The whole firehouse vibe was really cool! Beer, cider and Kombucha on tap, score! We got a small order of pepperoni chips. It came with marinara dipping sauce and some cream cheese with herbs. The pepperoni was very crispy and perfect side to the beer we were drinking! And then, THE PIZZA! 16" was the perfect size for All 3 of us and we even had leftovers to bring home! My husband and I visited here a few days ago. My son used to be stationed at 19, so we feel connected. I saw an Instagram post featuring their July special. I cannot remember the name, but it was a poblano chili sauce, chicken, red onions and queso cheese. After first bite, the spice hit. Nothing horrible. Such a fantastic pizza! The cousins take me here from time to time. I'm trying to be nicer to locals, so I'll start with the good points. I love the wings here (sizable) and the apps menu in general. Pepperoni as chips works for me. Every place has a local beer menu, but serving as Ruby Winery's de facto tasting room in the middle of wine country is a marvelous turn. That said: Stay away from pizza. Putting ranch dressing on pizza isn't "gourmet," it's a crime against people that every pizza place a couple of miles outside of an urban area commits. Its as if you people watched a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cartoon in the '90s, heard Michelangelo list off some ingredients, and threw them on a pizza. BQ sauce, ranch dressing, onion rings and taco meat aren't "gourmet" pizza toppings: They're unspoken hatred for the medium your serving them on. Shredded pork, pineapple and ranch? You have two ingredients for a decent taco, and one uninvited condiment. Now, I understand this place is a little more... backwoods than some of the other Hillsboro pizza places. I mean, I've never seen a Schmizza try to "All Lives Matter" its patrons, and I know Jersey Girl kept fewer hours rather than employ a half-interested staff wearing masks on its chin. But if you have "pizza" in your name, you should have some sort of respect for the namesake item. This place doesn't. read more

We came here on a double date with our friends, and no one had been here so it was a nice surprise to say the least. I've driven past here numerous times and always vowed to stop in and have some pizza, and I finally made true on that promise to myself. We came in and sat down out back and ordered some drinks while we talked and looked over the menu. We decided on getting a couple different pizzas and some garlic breadsticks. We got a Hawaiian, some sort of combination and a taco pizza. One thing to note is this is a firehouse themed restaurant so all of the pizzas have a firehouse related name kind of like firehouse subs. We were blown away from the first bite of the breadsticks. The flavor of the dough is just amazing and I can't say enough about it. The pizzas came and we dug in immediately. These pizzas are no joke. The toppings are fresh, the Dough is out of this world good in flavor and texture, and the ranch is bomb.com. Their outdoor seating area is really nice as well. They have picnic tables, and a little covered area to get out of the sun. Staff are friendly and attentive which adds to the whole experience.
