Hawaiian Pizza

One of my favorite hidden gems in hillsboro, Absolutely love the pizza especially the Hawaiian! I definitely recommend trying them out give them a call and pick up in there drive-thru super easy and fast!

Menu in drive thru.

Since all the pizza on the west side is not the pizza of my dreams, I have pretty much decided not to eat it. I mean it's not good for my decrepit old body anyway. My 15 yo is another story. Literally, she wants all the pizza all the time. She says there is no such thing as a bad pizza. Ikr. I mean the kid eats salad and salmon and whole grains and artichokes. But she is still a kid. Kids like pizza. My teen had a friend over for a sleepover and wanted this pizza. When I worked in Hillsboro I used to pick it up for her occasionally on the way home. It has a drive thru. It is dirt cheap. A large pepperoni pizza is $7. You can hardly get a burger for that lately. The ladies are very nice. It is hella fast. ( I am looking at you Bellagio's with your 70min wait). You drive up to the window, order, pay, get handed a pizza. You are done. Four min tops. Only once did I have to wait around the side while a pizza baked. Maybe ten minutes that time. Her friend came with us in the car and I told her it is like school cafeteria pizza. The friend and my kid, whilst eating it right out of the box as I pulled away from the place, said with full mouths in unison, " no it is better." It is really greasy. I could hear their little teen arteries clogging. I gave them fruit at home to balance that out a little and was happy when they went for a long walk to play pokemon go. Still. They were happy. And I was only out $7 plus tip. Is it gourmet and delicious with fancy ingredients? well no. Not that kinda place. But it works. I give it a four. Teen says 5. I can't do that in good conscience. "But Mom, they take pesos!! " she says. Kids.

Ghetto pizza is the term - it's cheap and it's fast, and you get what you pay for. I wanted to like this place for some cheap eats, especially based on the other reviews. But, alas, it's not to be. I give it +1 for value and +1 for speed, but that's it. The pizza is probably the blandest I've ever had - even for ghetto pizza - and I've had my share. It had very little sauce, if any. The cheese was weak, even if there was a lot of it, and the pepperoni might as well have been tofu. Imagine wonder bread with melted cheese-like and meat-like substances and that's about it. It looked OK coming out of the box, so I was mildly surprised that it was so tasteless. As a drive-thru it's a bit confusing - I guess you are supposed to enter coming off of Baseline, but that doesn't work when some people come in off of 10th also. Either way, be prepared to negotiate yourself out of a situation when you come head on with another car going the other way. The service was just fine - nice Hispanic ladies - the folks that come with the territory around these parts. With all of that said, it's so cheap I say you might as well try it for yourself to see if you like it.

Great, cheap pizza. But don't expect anything high-quality. You get what you pay for, the pizzas are $5 and five-dollar quality to match.

You know, sometimes the world just makes you more grateful for what you have…read more It may throw something at you like a subpar suburban mini chain using Boboli crust, foisting off quarters of personal pizza as "slices," and basically chucking a garlic knot at your head for suggesting that the family-first, live-laugh-love branding may not be enough to hold together a business. That same world may put people in line ahead of you who haven't figured out that their pizza and appetizers aren't made by pure magic and that making the brave decision to pick up your order didn't absolve a kitchen full of workers of the time and effort it took to make a meal for you. There's something you can do very easily if you don't feel that pickup is worth a tip: Drag your lazy, tasteless, hairy-knuckled Pacific Northwest carcass next door to the Plaid Pantry, pull a frozen pizza out of the freezer in the back of the store to the far left, pay for it, and take it home to cook for yourself. But, typically, the world just gives you that pizza shop around the corner from your family's place on the outskirts of civilization that tried to make you a calzone when you first moved in, has made you pizza for every family occasion since, and has managed to put together an Italian cold cut sub with no mayo and pizzas with no ranch dressing. When you realize that each day brings a steady stream of morons up and down Glencoe just looking for reasons to tell you how ignorant they are or how they can diminish once-enjoyable experiences for you, it makes you cherish the good folks who've been blending your apple and cherry ciders without question for years, selling a steady stream of local beers, giving kids arcade games to play and a place to gather, and offering slices at lunch and long tables for family and team dinners. Jersey Girl gets the basics right, both with its food and its surrounding community. It keeps familiar employees around for years and remembers a time when the pandemic kept the numbers painfully low. It doesn't taste exactly like other pizza out there because, as it turns out, each pizza isn't supposed to taste the same. If Dimo's tasted like Baby Doll, there'd be no purpose to it. If Lovely's tasted like Apizza Scholls, it would be a travesty. If Ranch tasted like Atlas? Why bother? Jersey Girl has become a neighborhood favorite on its own merits, and it isn't asking people to make pilgrimages out here to justify its existence. If you wouldn't go to a Western Hillsboro strip mall for pizza normally, don't feel the need to do so now. But if you're in town and you're looking for a pizza multiple steps above a chain and less formal than Pizzario's neapolitan pies, enjoy your stay and tip accordingly.

Picked up two pizzas to go. With such glowing reviews and for a higher than chain pizza places I…read moreexpected phenomenal pizza, unfortunately that wasn't the case. The amount of toppings were great on both the large boardwalk pizza and the half pep and half cheese. The crust? Had a strange minerality or slight chlorine taste to it. Not sure if it was the crust but all the pizzas had it. The cheese on both tasted amazing and fresh. My young daughter (elementary school age) after this however only taking just one bite the same day and a day later reheated for dinner has now decided that "I don't like pizza" which is kinda wild considering she likes others. This is also an establishment that tries to force tips upon pickup for a food which is honestly dumb and annoying but works for them as my wife didn't want to press the custom button and give 0$ even though she should have. I think this needs to be stopped and is a shame on this business. Less so than the unfortunate taste of the pizza, but perhaps to some even more of an issue.

Curry Pizza is a solid 4 stars…read more We had a busy day so pizza was on the brain for dinner. It was between Curry Pizza and another curry pizza restaurant who shall not be named since we haven't tried them yet. We ended up trying Curry pizza house because there were no complaints about the pizza dough on Yelp. I'm so glad we gave this place a try.. literally no complaints on the dough/crust here! It was actually very tasty! Slightly chewy, not too doughy, not too thin, not too thick- it was perfect. We ordered a half/half large pizza for around $35 and Desi bread for $9. Desi bread had a pesto sauce with onions, cheese, garlic? Idk, but it was the best first carby bite for me in a long time! Definitely a must try! For the pizza we got half butter chicken and half masala chicken. I wish the masala chicken had more sauce. The texture of toppings was very good but the sauce didnt shine through and it was one of those things where I wish it had... butter chicken on the hand, on point. Doesn't need a thing changed about it. Sauce was fragrant, buttery, and chicken pieces were tender and not dry at all. We'll definitely be frequenting Curry Pizza House again in the near future!

We called to order a couple of large pizzas over the phone. The order was correct and we were able to pick up the pizzas as expected. The pizzas were kept warm nicely by the pizza boxes. For about $30 a large pizza, we had two large pizzas, and each pizza was split with 2 different toppings. Note that the minimum size is large for splitting toppings. There was a good amount of meat in each topping. The crusts were excellent. I am not sure what kind of crust they offer. I don't recall having a choice on the type of crusts available. We tried lamb kabob, palak paneer, malai chicken and achari chicken. All were good, but the group favorite was definitely the lamb kobab. Palak paneer pizza has a nice spice, which was my second favorite. I prefer malai chicken over achari chicken due to my personal preference. White sauce is not my first choice. We will definitely order other pizzas next time we are in the area.

I've eaten here on a couple of occasions during the last few years, and always under protest. The local pizza chains out here range from the surprisingly good (Sizzle Pie), to the acceptable (Ranch and Schmizza) to the nearly inedible. Odd Moe's fits squarely into that last category. Founded in McMinnville, which would make you think there'd be some wine-country polish on the product, Odd Moe's seems like pizza for people who 1. Are looking to graduate from Papa Murphy's take-and-bake. 2. Seldom venture beyond the frozen pizza aisle at Freddy's or 3. Developed their pizza tastes while spreading Ragu onto English muffins, topping it with Winco mozzarella, and shoving it into a Sunbeam toaster over with whatever toppings are available. God, Odd Moe's is a dreadful strip-mall atrocity of low expectations. The crust is described solely as "white," but seems like more of a nod toward spent-grain brewpub crust. It's often browned to within an inch of its life, has toppings spread to the edges, and doesn't manage any of the chewiness of even a middling Schmizza crust. As for the toppings, they've definitely taken the Schmizza/Fultano's approach of throwing traditional New York/Chicago/Detroit/New Haven styles out the window and piling on treacly, mismatched ingredients like breakfast bacon, canadian bacon, pineapple, chipotle lime sauce, BBQ chicken, black olives, and salsa. The result: Messy pies like the Sweet Spot or Big Juan that have no cohesive vision and are built to feed suburban pizza deserts that don't know any better. It isn't as if Odd Moe's is some budget option, either, with signature pies going for $25-$30+--on par with (or more than) some of Portland's best pizza spots. With other menu items consisting mostly of middling wings or breads with dipping sauces, Odd Moe's isn't doing much to round out the offerings or make itself more enticing to audiences beyond the schoolkid crowd. I don't doubt that we're going to see more closures along the lines of this Odd Moe's, as suburbanites tightening their belts will drop a chain with the quickness. But if Odd Moe's ever wants to build an audience beyond Marion and Yamhill counties, it may want to ditch the weird baseball branding, focus on the food, and put out items that people in the Portland metro will recognize as pizza.

And NO ONE makes Neapolitan pizza like New York does. But Hapa does. Oh yes they do. Chewy dough. Wood fired oven. Slight char on the crust. Heaven. I didn't think I'd like the Chicken Satay made vegan with Tofu. Meh. But my son wanted it. I got plain vegan cheese. Mom and daughter both Vegan Margarita. Hubby got Pho. (which he'd only had the meaty pizzas prior!) Hubby said the Pho pizza was very good. But I'll tell you what. My son was really hungry so he took 2 of my vegan cheese slices. Which were good. But his Tofu Satay pizza. Ridiculous. It was SO flavorful without being TOO flavorful. It had a tang. It had texture. It was SO richly flavored and had depth of flavor. OMG delicious. Here's the thing - $20 pizza x 5 =$100 without drinks or tips. That's an expensive night out. But damn it Hapa you're worth it. Which is why we waited for 25 minutes and why we were the last table to leave because it's THAT good. Delicious. Prego. Amazing. We will be back. Can't wait for more flavor!!!

We were in Portland visiting my cousin for the weekend and we wanted to grab a quick light dinner…read moresince we had a super heavy lunch around 3pm. My cousin mentioned this place and we were hesitant to try it. He said they had great reviews and was in New York Times, but we were still hesitant to try it because we didn't care much for Pizza- nor were we craving it. It was me, my 15-year-old daughter, my brother, my sister in-law and my cousin. We were greeted but the most friendliest staff I've ever encountered IN MY LIFE. You order and pay at the counter and find a seat. They have an area where you can get your own waters as well. We ordered the Pho Pizza, Banh Mi Pizza, and the Chicken Satay Pizza. I wanted to order the Pandamn ice cream but they ran out as well as their tiramisu desserts. In my head I wanted to take away 1 star but then I tried the pizza. Pho - 10/10 First bite and I could NOT stop smiling. It was SOOO good! This was the groups favorite. My brother doesn't even like sprouts but it worked very well with the pizza. It was like eating pho but on bread. OMG my mouth is salivating just thinking about it and I can't even get it now because I'm in the Bay Area. Banh Mi - 100/10 This was my personal favorite. It was basically like an open Banh Mi with a hint of pizza. The flavors were amazing and I loved the pickled daikon and carrots on top! I'm not sure if refreshing would be the right world, but I know amazing would be another way I would describe this. I live in San Jose and I go to San Francisco often so I'm actually pretty disappointed in the Bay Area for not having anything like this. Satay Pizza - 9/10 To be honest, we were already getting full but because it tasted so good, we finished this one too. The sauce was a creamy curry sauce (I think with a hint of coconut) and had some peanuts sprinkled on top which gave it more flavor and a nice texture. Lastly, the pizza crust tasted AMAZING. It had a slight crisp to it but it was fluffy in the inside, kind of like Mochi bread. We literally left no crumbs! 1000/10 would recommend this place!

My family is from back east and I moved here from Boston more than a decade ago and, as I said…read moreabout Schmizza before, it isn't the greatest pizza by any stretch, but it would be easily one of the most reliable options in Boston if it decided to open there. Schmizza claims a New York style pizza, which is a bit of a stretch, but honestly goes for a better breed of Oregon suburban pizza. It keeps the ranch dressing to a bare minimum, but isn't afraid to just throw on some steak strip and chipotle (Taco Truck), wholesale sub sandwich ingredients (The Goodfella) or a metric ton of garlic (No Kiss Goodnight), serve it atop a chewy sponge and make it a pizza all its owns. It'll throw you some wings, make breadsticks with pepperoni, haul out some brussel sprouts... it's all perfectly fine and will neither completely disgust customers nor function as an acceptable substitute for Ken's or Apizza Scholls. It's reliable and , in the case of the Orenco location, reliably open. I can remember coming here in October 2021 as Jason Sudekis was hosting SNL and the nation was still figuring out how to come out of Covid lockdown, and we and a bunch of Intel contractors from Ireland stayed for the evening and finished the place's supply of Guinness. Even then, the Public House served as a steady presence and a reminder that there are still some open ports in a storm. Five years later, the Public House is the Grand Dame of Orenco nightlife. Mazama Brewing? Gone after not serving its namesake beer for two years? Orenco Taproom? Gone, and replaced by a tavern doing its level best, but still trying to find its footing. Orenco Bar and Grill? Replaced by The Dignitary which has just about the same amount of character and ambience... which is none. The pub side of a Schmizza is typically an afterthought. Down on 25th, it's a hangar where you fill growlers and watch disgruntled parents try to calm children before getting into fights with Happy Hour regulars who are just trying to stay out of the way of the poor scooter delivery people at the bar. Near PSU? It's the bar of last resort when you can't stand the thought of going back to Market Street and The Tortoise has worked your last nerve. In Orenco, the Public House is a true pub and a nexus for the neighborhood. It brings in a little bit of everyone (yes, that's a Thorns player a few stools down) and serves as the living room a true pub is mean to be. I've seen reviews hammer this place on restaurant seating (which can be tough) and food quality (which is your own damn fault for not looking into this chain), but it's good to see the community near-unanimously touting the bartenders and the place's benefits as a pub. In a neighborhood that lack a more longstanding watering hole and relies far more heavily on places like The Dignitary and adjacent strip-mall stop Copper River than a grand urban planning experiment should, I'm overjoyed each time the Public House still has a barstool open for me.
