This place is a hidden gem in the suburbs! I've ordered here a few times, and I can honestly say the quality and service is always very consistent. Our last order consisted of the Golden Spike, the Depot, and their potato spikes. The crust on their pizza is fantastic -- I can honestly say the only pizza crust I like as much as this one is the cornmeal crust at Dove Vivi. Pizza Caboose's crust is like a cross between a traditional crust and deep dish pizza. They also have a great ratio of crust to sauce to toppings. If you go here, you MUST order the potato spikes. A lot of places say they have a "famous [dish]" but their spikes are legendary. Make sure you get ranch because it's also really great and compliments both the spikes and pizza well. Whether you dine in or dine out, Pizza Caboose is pretty unique. Their delivery car is actually a truck that is supposed to look like a caboose and the cabin keeps the pizza warm. If you dine in, you'll definitely get a wave of nostalgia. The interior of the place is a lot like a pizza place your parents would take you after a soccer game in the 90's. Pizza Caboose reminds me of the vibe of the pizza restaurants while growing up in the 80s and 90s but able to maintain that old school vibe. The pizza was really good and the potato spikes were tasty. As we did order a couple of pizzas it there was a bit of a wait but the end result was some of the best pizza I have had. As I am visiting from Las Vegas, it's nice to have a pizza restaurant like this near where my parents live. The workers were friendly and brought out anything that we needed. read more

The pizza here was so good! I also love that they had a half & half option for the same price as if you bought it in one flavor, so we paid around $24 for a large pizza. I really liked how the interior was like an old-school pizza restaurant, so it had a really nostalgic feel to it. I appreciate how they never seemed to remodel it to fit the "modern" look that a lot of other restaurants go for. There were lots of seating options inside as well. We ordered bbq chicken and golden spike, which had pepperoni and mushrooms. The crust was the perfect thickness and had a good chewiness to it as well, it wasn't so thin that it was crunchy or so thick that it was too chewy to eat. The pizza is delicious! The ambiance is fabulous- you can choose your experience be it fireside (with a train circling overhead), arcade, or all aboard a caboose recreation. There is a private room that seats 16 or so. We ate on a Saturday night with 7 kids and 5 adults and we had excellent service and fun for everyone. Excellent service. Nice space for a small groups space. We always have a Fireman's Delight sandwich. This last visit we couldn't do the spikes (jojos). Their fryers were done too Equipment repairs. So the salad is worthy second to enjoy their ranch. We enjoy the pizza. We miss the old second location that had fried chicken. Go in and enjoy a meal with this restaurant. We loved the train cars inside the restaurant, but as far as the pizza... it was okay. Lots of sauce and the pizza tasted good when it was hot and fresh but wasn't very good as leftovers. First time to try a local pizza place in the area. We wanted to support a local business so we tried Pizza Caboose. Funny how there's over 800 reviews on Google yet less than 200 on Yelp. We opted to go with the half-half of Caboose Special and Trestle (Hawaiian pizza) along with a side order of some garlic bread. We got there about 12 min after the estimated finish time of 20 min. The decor of the restaurant seemed like I got blasted back to my video game playing 90s. I saw that train that goes along the top wall which everyone is talking about but of course it was shutdown. The restaurant is currently opened for takeout only and no dine-in. The pizza was still warm when we arrived but already cold by the time we got home; a little rejuvenation using the air fryer brought my pizza slice back to life. All the toppings were generic but the original dough was pan-fried style and thick and that's probably the only uniqueness of the pizza. They have their own delivery trucks and maybe I should have opted to use that service instead of driving to the restaurant. I like how they have train-themed pizza selections to choose from on their website but for the extra large that I paid $32 dollars for didn't justify the amount of pizza I got for that price (12 mediocre sized slices). You can get a way much larger King Kong size pizza for the same price at New York Pizza back in the Bay Area for the same price. I wasn't impressed with their pizza and the size and amount that I got for the price I paid and I don't think we'll be coming back here again anytime soon. read more

Pizza Caboose appears to be a Tigard hidden gem, everyone I have talked to raves about it! I've been here a couple of times and I can say I see why. The inside is decorated really cool. They have old train sets up around the edge of the ceiling with trains going around the track, and a cool fire place, I wish I would have taken a picture. The service isn't bad, it's on par with what I would expect. We came here a couple of weeks ago for a birthday party, and had a pretty good experience overall. The pizza is very good, definitely come for the pizza. We didn't have anything special, just cheese and pepperoni. But the crust is solid. The star of the show for me are the potato spikes! They are these thick cut battered potatoes fried up and crispy and seasoned so perfectly. I could eat a whole pound of them. The one thing I would stay away from are the salads. I ordered a side salad to make myself feel better about eating pizza and potato spikes and I didn't even eat it. It was literally salad mix, and an over ripe tomato slice. I would rather have saved my $4.50 and went without. Anyway, this place is worth checking out for the great pizza and cool interior! read more

We called ahead with a dine-in order for one extra-large pizza for our 4 nieces and us. We got there about 10 minutes later and I went to the counter to let them know we were here and to pay. There were like 5 people in the kitchen, all ignoring me while they worked very slowly. Finally, a woman came to take my credit card. She was very polite. We finalized the payment and I sat down with my girls to wait for the pizza. We waited a pretty long time (probably around 20 minutes) and finally, I went back to the counter to check on my order. Again, it took a while to get someone's attention. I asked if I could get a time estimate on my pizza and a couple people started looking around and asking the other employees if they knew where the pizza was. Finally, someone found it in the warmer. Apparently it had been done for a while but no one remembered to bring it out to us. I was pretty disappointed with the service. The pizza itself was fine, nothing special. One extra large was the perfect amount to feed 4 kids and 2 adults. We had also ordered cheesy garlic bread with marinara sauce, which turned out to basically be cheese pizza with the sauce on the side. I ordered a large cheese pizza (I like to judge just normal cheese pizza's at new places I go too) and it was incredible. I had to make a yelp account just to leave a review for this place. we traveled for the weekend with our two daughters and they are picky eaters who love pizza over anything else lol our hotel was 5 minutes from this place and when we showed up, it was a bit sketchy looking from the outside but when we walked in, it was so cute! the lady at the front counter was so nice and welcoming and explained the menu to us since we never had been here before. she made it so easy to order. we ordered the garlic cheesy bread and it was a bit small but soooo good!! the pizza was the best I've tasted in a while! from our booth, we saw Tigard Bowl just a short walk across the parking lot and booked a time to bowl after our dinner. the lady that answered for that too sounded so nice and helpful. definitely a hidden gem!! read more
