A few months ago I was in the area! I just knew I had to try it next time if I was nearby, because I'm a sucker for Mexican coffee! Another plus side; a family owned business. The coffee was delicious! However, I couldn't distinguish between the two iced coffees (Cafe Madrid & Crema de Leche) we ordered as the taste was familiar and the coffees weren't labeled. Service was great. It was in the afternoon so it was a bit slow but the ice cream line was long. I wanted to try the ice cream but it took too long as I only saw one person behind the counter. Will try next time. Overall a lovely, clean and welcoming place!

The staff is really nice , and the coffee is good (comes with adorable latte art) but the food is actually horrendous. American cheese and cheap deli meat on a waffle is actually diabolical. I'd come for the coffee and pastries and leave the food behind.

I mean. I don't want to be the spoiler of good news but this place is the best. I had to finally write a review. Tasty pastries, sweets, drinks, AND banana splits? Get outta here. This place is the best and newest addition to the neighborhood. Love that it's BIPOC-owned and that it stays true to good service on the daily! Embarrassed to say that the ice cream lady might know us too well. It's a part of the retirement community of the Murano so you have a mix of elder residents, hospital workers, locals, and nonprofit workers. This place is a real community hub.

I am so glad Leon Coffee House has arrived to the neighborhood. I have worked in Capital Hill for several years and I have to say this place tops the last coffee house that resided here. The environment is inviting, Its PINK !! The coffee taste great and the food options are really good and priced really reasonably. For drinks my go to is a Chai with an extra shot of espresso. I have tried the chorizo in both the quesadilla and the croissant and I have to say the quesadilla is my favorite.

I like the ambience and the chicken tamale's! Very Cute place. Sometimes the service isn't the greatest but most of the time it's okay

Came on around 10am on a random Thursday for a solo date. The ambiance is this place is lovely and the decor quite detailed. Ordered a small plate chorizo breakfast sammy and matcha latte. I wanted a taro latte but unfortunately they were out of it. I'm not a matcha connoisseur but I thought it was good and the art along with it was so cute! The chorizo breakfast sandwich is simple but good. I'd come again

I had been waiting for this cute, Latino-inspired coffee shop to open near my work. I've been twice since its opening on First Hill with their original location in the U-District. The ambiance is super cute with lots of pink, neon signs and a back room full of a rainbow of umbrellas. Plenty of space to spread out if you're looking for somewhere to work, or if youre in a rush but looking for a quick Insta-worthy photo opp, don't miss the column art. I've had the marzipan latte and the BLT. Both were decent overall. They also offer grab n go options. Staff is friendly but still working out the kinks. Soon they'll be selling freshly scooped ice cream too. Welcome to First Hill and congrats on your second store.

Customer service here was okay and the egg nog latte was delicious. The space is small yet cozy with enough seating and lots of vibrant colors. Overall, I'd come back here again and I recommend this location of Leon Coffee if you're ever on First Hill.

Decided to try the strawberry shortcake waffle and let's just say it's was very delicious. The service is always great and the ambiance of the cafe is relaxing. It's a short walk from my apartment and it's always treat.

We also shared the combo silog which was a great way to sample more of the menu. I enjoyed the garlic rice and ilocos especially. The diner feels so cozy and homey - old photos of the owner and customers and magnets his guests left are a nice touch. Friendly and attentive service despite the busyness.

You order at the front before being seated which means food arrives shortly after sitting down. With that noted, I wouldn't return to wait that long. First visit, to try a relatively famous spot, sure. Inside is a bit tight, but conversation can be had. My friends got the lumpia-silog and bistek-silog. Lumpia was tasty, but not particularly outstanding. Bistek was dry. The beef was tough to chew, seasoned alright on the outside but likely overcooked if not old. I opted for the oxtail silog which was delicious but pricey. Oxtail Silog - for $29, this plate definitely gets a double take. After waiting in the hour line, I figured I should commit for a tasty meal. Oxtail comes in a side bowl alongside a bit of hearty broth which the rice absorbs well. Meat is tender, falls off the bone, but pulling around oxtail bones isn't the simplest, so definitely have to bite around crevices. All in all, this plate was delicious but think it comes with a huge tourist tax I've had better value for oxtail plates. Ube Pancake Stack - four sizeable pancakes. Some pictures, including my own, don't do these justice. I can definitely get behind the hype. They're drenched in a rich ube sauce and there's plenty to go around. Honestly the ube flavor is present on the pancakes, but it feels relatively faint because the sauce is extremely sweet and flavorful, minimizing the pancake taste and expanding the gap between flavors. That being said, I think I would enjoy the pancakes with less sauce (or preferably, on the side).

They served the coffees with a little shortbread cookie, and these little details really elevated the whole experience. Also, the cappuccino was so foamy, and it hit the spot immediately. The breakfast menu was also fantastic. The TPC Breakfast plate included sausage, potatoes, bacon, bread, and some scrambled eggs. There also was an option to add Beecher's cheese on the eggs, and I'd say it was totally worth it. Most importantly, the Dutch baby was as good as they'd advertised. It comes out on a piping hot skillet which kept the dessert warm till the end of the meal. The service was very quick even though they were entirely booked out for the time we were there for. I appreciated the patience from the servers and their helpful directions in picking the menu items. I will warn you that we had to reserve our spot months in advance. This is probably because the restaurant is great but pretty limited in seating space. However, it was definitely worth the wait, so don't be discouraged. I highly recommend trying it out at least once. All in all, highly recommend! Please go try Tilikum Place Cafe!

Our server Charlie, was engaging, friendly and on top of things. We ordered the shared dips---olive tapenade, eggplant, hummus, tatziki with some warm pita triangles. They're all good and a fun way to start the dinner. We each had kebabs---lamb, chicken and mushroom. All good, moist and tender all poured with a jig of ouzo on a hot skillet. The onions in the bottom get browned and crusty, so good to eat. One had a lamb burger which looked juicy and served with delicious mound of fries sprinkled with rosemary. Food here has always been awesome. Skipped dessert as we had homemade cookies to eat at our next stop.

Because you never turn away a delicious PNW Salmon dish. The place is cute, mainly wooden, lots of plants inside (my allergies were killing me here hehe). Plenty of sitting areas and window views too. I got lucky to seat by a window to just enjoy the rainy view. Their Salmon toast was delicious! I asked for the cream cheese on the side because I cant have lactose but I still wanted to try their dish with all ingredients. So I dipped the slices a few times to try it all and omg its so perfectly paired. I totally recommend it! The coffee was ok. I had their gingersnap latte seasonal drink. I asked with only 1 pump of sweet and alternative milk. I was not impressed. I prefer black coffee haha but if you enjoy sweet drinks you may enjoy this one. I still finished it, so it wasn't terrible just not something I'd order again. Also, Idk why my coffee was served on a to-go cup. Maybe that took some of the joy of it? Overall, I recommend the this spot. Staff was friendly. The menu is vast. Sitting arrangements are great and cozy.
