    I purchased a service membership with Home Climates for my Navien boiler and had Home Climates…read moreperform annual maintenance on October 12, 2023. I paid Home Climates $19.90 per month in a membership fee for annual service. Five weeks later, on November 22, the boiler stopped working due to an ignition failure. Home Climates came to fix it and billed us $289 to fix (see invoice). When I complained, they said I got a discount and if I wasn't a member, the service call would be $499. Actually I paid $528 for the call [19.9 x 12 months = $239 + the $289]. So what was the purpose of the membership and annual maintenance if not to ensure that the furnace will work through the winter? The part and labor for the igniter was guaranteed for 5 years per the invoice, but this was the second time in two years that they had to replace it. I never received a copy of the invoice for the first replacement and I had to request a copy of the most recent one on 11/27. The technician informed us that Navien told him that part should be replaced every 2 years, however, Navien tech center denies that. Even so, I question why it wasn't replaced on October 12, 2023. The part was covered under warranty! This boiler was installed new in January 2021 so it is less than 3 years old. I canceled my Home Climates membership after this, but I will hold them to that 5 year parts and labor for the spark igniter. Something certainly is wrong with their billing.

They quickly got us in their system and sent a tech out next day to replace a part for us. We use them for our seasonal system tune-ups and they do an amazing job of helping us keep the systems maintained. This past winter we got home from a family trip only to find our house cold cause our boiler had finally given up the ghost. We called Home Climates and a tech was out the same day (Sunday night no less) to assess what happened. They were able to install a new tankless water heating system for us the same week (most of the work done in a day!) haul away our old clunky boiler and set up a smart thermostat. Never once have we felt pressured into buying from them as they answer all of our questions and have multiple HVAC options and financing options to fit our budget.

The faucet was learking. The serviceman was there a total of 3 hours. They charged me $2100 for 3 hours of work! How can they justify $700 for an hourly rate? I just acquired a lawyer at $425 an hour. I have been a member for 25 years. I will never call them for their services again. This is totally ridiciulous for having a faucet put into a bathtub and 3 hours of work. This was not on the weekend not was it at night or a holiday. What plumbing service also chages $700 an hour? This is unacceptable and do not use H.B. Mcclure. I will not ever call them back and I will post this on every social media platform.

S. into your house. He did nothing but complain about the cat smell from the second he came in the door. My house does nit smell. I just had another of their techs in my house a week before and he managed to stand in that same room and talk for 15 minutes. I also had 2 other people in there and no smell. Anyway I suggested since he thought it smelled so bad to just leave and I would reschedule with some other tech. Nope he decided to stay. So I sprayed to get rid of the smell that wasn't there to start with. He went back to the office and told them he was violently ill after he left due to the conditions and smell. So they told me they cancelled my service contract!!! Wait. WHAT? Because of this techs B S. I said send someone out to check out the basement and see he gave them BS. Nope won't do that. But we'll cancel your contract and refuse service. My opinion. Jerk move! All based on 1 persons perspective. Don't bother to talk to any other service techs that have been there from their company. Why waste your time getting the truth. I have used this company for over 20 years. Moving on to a company that cares about their customers and cares about the truth. ​
