Eric gave us a fair estimate and completed the work as promised. He thought through each step so it was best for us ( plug placement, etc.) and even anticipated things that we hadn't thought would be best for us. Highly recommend!! Also, Tina was a pleasure to work with! Thanks!! read more

Porter electric did a great job yesterday at our house in Elysburg, PA. A bathroom fan, a ceiling fan, and two wall switches were installed. The quality was excellent and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Eric for any electrician work needed. read more

My breaker was tripping constantly and I had no power to half of my home. Concerned about the fire safety implications, I called Porter Electric after seeing other good reviews. The phone was answered immediately, despite my call being after what most would consider "normal business hours". I received a call back within 3 minutes and the electrician was here in 25 minutes. He was knowledgable and polite, and solved my issue (the breaker had melted!). The cost was less than I expected so that was icing on the cake! Porter Electric was very reasonable and I would definitely use them again. Highly recommended! read more

I cannot thank these guys enough. 2:30 AM we smelled electrical smoke in our house. Flipped off the main breaker and then had no power. Desperate to find out what was wrong, we called around, and finally reached a real person, these guys. Electrician came out at 4:30 AM, quickly identified the culprit (defunct circuit breaker), then worked the next 14 hours to fix, including getting the power company out to fix the incoming wiring and manually digging in grounding for the house. We got VERY lucky to not have a worse fire, and even luckier to find these guys who came out and got everything not just working but also up to code. Highly recommend. read more

My neighbor got some work done by Mr. Porter so I called him for an estimate when I found out my house had to be rewired. He was responsive, polite and gave me a great rate for the work. I had another company give me an estimate and they were 3 times higher than Porter Electric!!! Needless to say, I contracted Porter Electric to perform the job and he did a fantastic job! We will definitely call Porter Electric for any work we ever need done! read more

Several other electrical companies charged over $100 just to come out and do an estimate before even doing any work - I found this to be ridiculous and decided to go with "James Morrow Electrician and Handyman." I can tell you right away that I made a solid decision as that Jim did a great job from the gecko! He was very responsive, professional and explained everything he is going to do over the phone so that I felt comfortable with choosing him as a professional. When he arrived, he was very respectful to the property. He did not mind me watching him install the electrical outlets in my home and explain how the whole system works. Jim did a fantastic job of eliminating one of my existing electrical outlets and moving it up. He also installed a new GFI outlet in my bathroom so that I can hook up my beloved Japan-style bidet toilet. Overall Jim is very knowledgeable and experienced in his electrical work, as well as very meticulous in little details. He takes pride in his job from start to finish to ensure the job is done right the first time. I felt very comfortable with Jim and "James Morrow Electrician and Handyman."
