Always great service! I use them for my home and two rentals. Their pricing is always reasonable and their service staff does a great job. Recently in a hot period one of my tenants called because the air conditioner wasn't cooling. I called late in the evening and someone was their within an hour. As a former employee of Strine's I was very disheartened by the lack of respect and felt unappreciated. I had one bad experience after another and they always had an excuse as to why it wasn't their fault . It basically boils down to the three owners not having the knowledge to run a business. I was overworked and extremely underpaid . And when I got injured during work hours they did not want to give me a worker's compensation claim number. Like I said, very disheartening. We called Strines after the last HVAC business didn't work out. They had to order the part so we spent a few days in the cold. As soon as the part came in they were out same day to install it and it only took about an hour. Thankful to have heat again, it was a cold Christmas this year and one I won't forget. I had a good experience with installation of a new heat pump to replace the old one that had failed. Easy to work with in the bidding and quote stage. Okay lead time, but I assume they did the best they could. Their indoor cleanup could have been a little better, but I'm satisfied with what I got and will plan to use them next time. read more

Since my last post, I've been in contact with the service manager at Strine. He had been on vacation during my 7 service call nightmare. When I asked for a refund of some of the money I spent during that 7 service call span, he promised to look into it. Once he'd reviewed what had happened, he offered me a refund check with over $100 higher an amount than I had requested because as he said, it's what was owed to me for my bad experience. He really did his best to make things right. I truly believe if he'd been in the office during my worst service of my life experience, my furnace would've been fixed within 2 visits and not been a nightmare at all. My daughters heater wasnt working she calls them , they do inpection finding several issues bad valves and others so its over 1000 dollars on the bill it says had unit up and running and its working properly , so she finally turns her on last week and kitchen and living room isnt heating , she called over weekend they show up today and now they found lines looped togather totally wrong and want 500 more so messed up either your first tech missed it and lied or he installed part wrong there shouldnt be a bill for your company mistakes sad . Bought an older 70's split level with aging oil furnace, oil-fired water heater and AC unit, so decided to convert to natural gas. After soliciting bids, I selected Strine's and very pleased that I did. They demonstrated excellent communications and the installation team were highly competent with what was a challenging conversion...very hard workers. had a tech inspect a mobile furnace ( keep in mind a new Coleman unit is $1200 to $1500) and diagnosed a faulty motherboard. paid the expensive service call $298.00. then quoted $795.00 for a new board install. went online and bought a new board from Coleman $86.00 and installed myself. never assume your being treated fairly, this economy is horrible and you have horrible companies like Strines gouging their customer. save your money and go reputable, even if you have to wait for good service. read more

I paid Strines an ungodly amount of money to install a Lenox heat/cool system into my 3 story house. 3rd floor: 86 degrees. 2nd floor: 78 degrees. 1st floor: 65 degrees. I have to set my thermostat to 60, just to get the upper floors cooled to 86. An OUTRAGE. Strines either ripped me off or they totally inept. I now have to pay another company to fix their mess. The air handler should hv been upstairs, "trunk" wrong.... Do not use Strines. Total rip off. Shame on them. mid there was a negative star to rate them, it would be used here. To Chad at Strines: I wear a jacket downstair, my second floor office is a sweat box. I can't even use my 3floor. read more

Had issues with AC since installation. Had Freon leaks which were never found. Charged multiple times without finding the issue. Paid excessive money for 10 minute stays. Would avoid and go somewhere else. Save your money and sanity. read more

We've been using Strine's for many years. They are the only place I completely trust. They are very reasonable, honest, and talented. In fact I had to call them this morning at 9am because my AC stopped. They sent someone by 10am and the technician fixed it within 15 minutes! read more

Here is my experience with Strine's: We called on a Wednesday to make an appointment to have a service tech come to our house to service the AC. The service tech arrives early afternoon on Friday. He walks in, looks at the AC unit and tells us he believes this is about a 2-2.5 hour job, however, the company only allows a max. of 1.5 hours for service calls. However, he states, that I could call the company and ask if they would like him to stay longer to complete the job. I called the company and they offered to re-schedule my appointment in about 6 days. I said no thank you as it was in the middle of a terrible heat wave of 95+ degree weather. The service tech left. He was there a total of 5 minutes and provided no service whatsoever, no diagnostics, nothing. Upon his departure, I called a different company, they came out the next morning, they were there for two hours, everything works great. The next week I get a bill from Strine for $85 for "Service-Residential" My wife called and left messages 2 times to have the bill reduced or eliminated. No reply. I guess they don't return calls either. I don't mind paying for them to come out, but $85 to do nothing seems high. NOT RECOMMENDED! Service in question that need to be performed: Sweat together 2 copper pipe connections and recharge the unit, nothing to install, replace, etc. read more

Horrible from beginning to end. First off, Chad comes to my house and I am in the garage working. My father who is staying with us answers the door and says he will come get me. Chad says it is not needed, takes a look at our furnace, then leaves. Did not speak even one word to the customer who called him and only took a peek at the unit to be replaced. When I called him to express my concern he told me he did not need to look at anything else (including the moving of a few radiators as part of a larger home improvement project) cause - get this - he could just look it up online. Called after a week to check status. No call back. Called another week later for a status check and was told by Michelle that she did not know what my hurry was as I would not need it until fall. Worst contractor experience of my life. Never felt less important. Never met a bunch of cockier group of people. Worst part is that BOTH of the people who recommended them have been having problems with systems they just installed. Buyer beware read more

Strines came out on time and within the service window. They were fast and fixed our AC unit also added some sort of "boost" to stop the AC from tripping our breaker system. Total $113. Great!!! Would definitely use them again. Bonus is our house never felt cooler!!!!! read more

Great team to work with. Called Strine's on a Tuesday afternoon to set up appointment to replace our condenser and evaporator to convert from R-22 to R-410A. Estimator came to our house on Wednesday to spec out the new equipment and discussed what would be needed. We agreed to what was proposed and they arrived on Friday to perform the install. We were extremely pleased with the service tech that completed the install and are very happy with the final product. read more
