David Stull, the owner and operator of Stull HVAC is NOT a licensed or insured installer. He is a…read morecon man and a thief. Stay far away from his business. I own a commercial property in Middletown and after several technicians came out to diagnose the problem with an HVAC unit, David described how he would fix the problem and that he values relationships and wanted to serve his customers. Imagine my surprise when David took $4,500 to repair and upgrade an existing HVAC unit, subcontracted out the work to his "crew" who used incompatible parts and materials, contaminating and destroying my existing system worth over $3,000. The HVAC system David "worked on" froze over, leaked water all over the floor of my commercial unit and has not once provided any cool air to the unit. While his invoice will read that he guarantees his workmanship 100%, he refuses to answer his calls or messages, claimed he was incapacitated by fractured ribs, a pierced lung and a stroke all in less than a month and then had the audacity to claim I am threatening him all so he can avoid accountability for his incompetence, his deceit and his fraud. When a "contractor" tells you he's been stiffed tens of thousands of dollars and that his customers are rude, he's likely projecting his own bad behaviors and shortcomings. Caveat Emptor!

Gosh, where to begin. First heat wave of the spring and our hvac isn't working properly. I call a…read morefew other places and leave messages with no response. As soon as I called Old Line, Jennifer answered and was happy to help me. Appointment was scheduled on a Monday and James, the owner, was here Wednesday. Unfortunately, this was no easy fix and the hvac needed to be replaced. I suffer from a form of inflammatory arthritis that is exacerbated by the heat and would be without ac for a week or more. Do you know what James said? "I've got some window units that I'll bring by so you'll be comfortable until I can get back to install the new system". Within 45 minutes of James leaving my home, there's a knock at the door. It's Jennifer with the 2 window units. Wow, just wow!! Who does that? No large corporate hvac company would've done that. Talk about above and beyond and making us feel like family. I felt as if I had known James for years. Personable, honest, reliable and above all a wonderful human being! Today my new hvac was installed and I'm happy to say it's nice and cool. I can't recommended Old Line enough. If you need any type of HVAC work then give them a call. Reasonable pricing and financing is available.

Called these guys because their number so happened to be on the thermostat that needed to be…read morereplaced. Told me that the thermostat I was using was no longer manufactured, which wasn't true. And seems that the only one they had on hand to install was going to cost me $500, which retails at other stores for $200. However, I really had no other choice to get the one they had as going out to get a new one would have jacked up my per/hr rate beyond the cost of the overpriced one they had on hand. Found out a few weeks later after the install that the new thermostat wasn't working (wasn't in the house for a number of weeks). They were going to send out a tech to look at it and was told if this was thermostat related I wouldn't be charged the $188/hr for the 2nd trip. Apparently they way the thermostat was installed, it was causing a breaker in our two phase system to trip and not work. The fixed this by converting our two phase system into a single phase unit so it would work with the thermostat that they initially installed. However they proceeded to bill me over $300 for the tech being there for just over an hour (which should have been $188/hr....which is already a ridiculous rate as it is) to fix an issue that was CLEARLY thermostat related. But here's where this get's even more ridiculous. When I question them about how much I was charged for an hour's worth of work and that I was even charged at all because this was thermostat related, they fly off the handle over the "AUDACITY" that I have to even question the amount I was charged or that I was even charged. So to summarize: 1. I got completely ripped off being overcharged for the install of a new thermostat; which I found out that a replacement faceplate on the old (which is still made) one would have worked. 2. Got billed for over $300 in service time when the tech was there for less than an hour at $188/hr (which is an outrageous rate to begin with). 3. They didn't live up to their warranty to not bill me for the 2nd trip if the issue was thermostat related, which it was. Now the tech who worked on my system was great. Had no issue with him at all. Knew what he was doing and didn't "burn the clock" just to jack up the service time. Just be weary of what they are billing you for equipment and service time afterwards if you use them.
