Then he determined that the junction box in the ceiling was broken because it was not strong enough for the light fixture. First, he opened the hatch to access the attic above the kitchen. He climbed into the dark and cold attic with tools to remove and replace the junction box. Then he reattached the light fixture to the new junction box.
