Long story short, I had unsuccessfully tried with different parts and limited knowledge (in spite of research) to have my desktop pc share with my tv. It just wasn't happening. I called Leo in the morning and we had a good discussion of what I had tried and I responded to his suggestions with my experience. He offered to come over later on when he'd be in the area to at least just see what was going on. He looked at what connections I had tried. Leo was surprised what I had didn't work. He made a suggestion. The big issue was the requirement of a PCI-E slot on my motherboard. I didn't think I had one on my pc of a few years ago. When Leo looked inside, he said I DID. He had the card I needed (hdmi,vga,dvi) and installed that to my pc. Then he went through the steps to have two videos (monitor and tv) with proper video resolution and sound. Also installed a new wireless mouse that I had for this project. I am in business! I can now watch my internet pc video on my tv with sound. Leo showed me how to change the sound source; added an icon to my desktop so I could quickly make the change when I wanted to watch a movie. We had already gone thru the steps for the video source. Had just picked up my laptop, after having it repaired at Simple Computer Repair. Could not get it to connect to WiFi.
