Not sure why I haven't been to Lenwich in a long time, but I stopped in for a chicken cesar wrap recently. Looks like the menus has changed since the last time I visited, with a focus on their healthier alternatives ... in the past I was always drawn to the breaded chicken cutlet on a hero with lettuce tomato onion and Italian dressing. The chicken cesar wrap was a good size, plenty for 2 meals (ordered with dressing on the side so my leftovers wouldn't be soggy)! Will visit again soon! read more

I was in Park Avenue and wanted to have something different and saw this sandwich place.. always wanted to try here, but never did. Was a bit busy when I went around 1 PM... ordering was easy as there were terminals for us to order.. once you order you get a number and you wait for them to call that out.. took them 10 to 15 minutes for finishing the order.. there were five or six people making sandwiches. I think they were doing a good job... quick and effective.. place was cramped though .. if u eat there it is a bad experience . No space and very noise .. I'm not a big fan of cold sandwiches.. I should've asked them before, but the photos in the menu card suggested they were freshly made sandwich sandwiches.. but unfortunately, the vegetables were cold and it almost ruined the taste.. I thought oh no another cold sandwich craziness!! It's the way I dream about Lenwich's Chicken Caesar Wrap. The lettuce is diced soo finely and it's absolutely loaded with chopped chicken (yet it's not overkill), it's light on the Cesar dressing (not to self: get more on the side next time), and full of flavor. This wrap will keep you full for hourssss. Lenwich is super popular in NY (open one in Boston please!) and its setup similar to any fast casual spot. I just walked in, went up for the counter, ordered my wrap, was given an order number, and then they called out my number when it was ready. There were plenty of touch screen kiosks too to order. Walked into a Lenwich years ago for shelter, not to order... said to myself my goodness this place is like a lame blimpie at best, and that I would not wanna come back. This being said, years went by and I heard it was being hyped; I saw some social media push going on and I was utterly confused. I succumbed, I finally got a pastrami on marble rye... I'm still confused as this thing was a total rip off. It's got very little meat on it, and it's small for the price to say the least. And they could t even include pickle? I've been to a different location of Lenwich as well before this one. It's a sandwich shop chain, but is much better than Subway. The ingredients are fresher and the meat to bread ratio is much more generous. The menu has some preset combinations of meat and vegetables but you can customize it to your liking. One of the sandwiches I'd recommend here is the Chickavo - grilled chicken with avocado, roasted red peppers, mesclun & ranch dressing. This location gets crowded during lunch time, but otherwise is fairly empty. Overall, this is a satisfactory sandwich spot. read more

Lenwich came up when I was in this neighborhood. I love their huge muffins. I decided to get two and put them in my freezer for morning breakfasts. Typical run-of-the-mill Lenwich. Don't really come here for Breakfast, but I've stopped by here for lunch on occasion. I'm not too particularly keen on getting the salad or grain bowls here (def. better options for salads elsewhere), so I've stuck to the sandwiches. Unfortunately, there are only 3 veggie sandwiches on the menu. The Veggie' Wich is ok, but really is a bit too bland and perhaps too clean for my tastes. The caprese is alright, but it's really a simple sandwich. The Bello Melt is probably the better of the 3, even if you may end up getting a ton of mushrooms and an overbearing dressing at times. It was a hot mess. I didn't know where to go or what to do. When you walk in, it's up to you to know where to go based on the signs. There's different sections: hot and cold sandwiches, salad, and cashier/checkout. Not many people were at the salad section so I started there. I was able to order fairly quickly and customize to the way I like it. That was definitely a plus. Also, all the options looked fresh. When it came to the check out. I was very disappointed. You cannot tell who is cashed out and who isn't because everyone is hovering to wait for their food. My salad was done and sitting there until I was able to cash out. As I sit here looking at this obtrusive provender of a bagel that Lenwich had prepped for me, I am genuinely disappointed and upset. For reference, I have been a loyal customer to this Lenwich location for over a year and a half now and today is the day I put my foot down. Yes I am at fault for continuing to be a loyal customer, but I am appalled at the lack of respect for the quality of food they serve. I generally don't like getting western sandwiches cuz they usually put too much meat and over do something with the sauce. But this sandwich was perfectly balanced. I wonder, though, if they have pickles. It would have meshed really well with it. I also got French fries cuz I love French fries (its becoming a problem...).
