Half TUNA-CADO or CHICKEN-CADO Half ORIENTAL CRUNCH SALAD

The food is overpriced but very clean. Tasted a little too unflavored and raw for me, yet the macros are still high.

Last weekend I went once again to Csrtot Express in the Flatiron area to have the Almond Joy smoothie. This had been recommended and I was trying to find one that I liked at the sadly lamented Terry that folded during covid. Here almond butter, coconut flakes, granola and other ingredients made a fairly good smoothie but I felt that something was missing. Maybe some dates in it would have given it a tasty kick? Service as always was professional and with few customers I could have sat anywhere comfortably. Next time I will request for dates to be added.

Ok so update for pick up or delivery. 2/3 orders did not arrive correctly. So it seems to be a possibility this happens. Sadly by the time you get home it's too late and too far to are adjustments. Hopefully they learn to manage this.

The veggie burger bowl was delicious!!! I want to try their salads and their other vegan options. Definitely will order from this place again.

On the one hand, Carrot Express feels like a sterilized salad chain with no personality and simplistic branding. They still have a vaguely Asian salad named "Oriental Crunch" on their menu, for goodness sake. But my perennially healthy heart loves their huge menu of smoothies, power shots, juices, and enormous salads. The salads do run over $20 once you add a protein to them, but the portions are really enormous and the ingredients are quite fresh. I like coming here on days I go hard at the gym and will treat myself to a generous portion of sesame crusted tuna, salmon, or mahi mahi over a bed of greens. The green goddess salad is my favorite-- with arugula, spinach, kale, avocado, cucumber, and toasted pumpkin seeds with miso ginger vinaigrette and a huge piece of roasted salmon. You can still get a better salad at say, sweetgreen, but if you're wanting to change up your lunch spot this is a pretty solid option. Their juices and power shots are fresh and the ambience inside is a step above your average salad chain. Their signature carrot cake was way too sweet for my tastes, but good for anyone with a sweet tooth wanting to balance out their healthy meal with something more indulgent.

04/24/23: Trying to be healthy and I search of a filling salad. I think I found it. Passed by a few times on the way home and decided to finally step in. Very clean, brightly lit and pleasant staff. Decided on LA MEXICANA romaine, roasted corn, black beans, jack cheese, tortilla strips, avocado, cilantro & tomato. tossed with our honey-lime vinaigrette. Yuuuum, very filling. Definitely will return when in the mood for a salad.

    Choco dream smoothie

Ordered the "Choco Dream" smoothie; I feel like the $13 price tag (after tax) is a bit steep, especially because it was just alright (and had a weird aftertaste). It would be one thing if it was super delicious -- then I'd happily pay; I pay $10 just for a draft latte from La Colombe all the time because it's soooo good, but this was just meh/not worth it. The menu was pretty extensive though & maybe I'd have better luck with a salad, etc... though I don't think I'll be back any time soon

I ordered a Caesar salad, lentil soup, carrot cake and pineapple, spinach carrot juice. Three stars is not a bad review in my book. The lentil soup with kale was delicious and I would certainly come back again in the future for some soup again. It was light and not a creamy soup. It would certainly be a wonderful meal after a workout. The carrot cake was absolutely divine. It was moist, had the perfect bite. Lastly, the Caesar salad with falafel was my least favorite in terms of what the cost would be to order the salad. I feel that I had some lettuce thrown into a container with some powdered cheese and a couple of croutons. I loved that the dressing was on the side so I could control how much I was adding. It was not the most beautiful presentation and just seemed as if it was thrown in the container. ($14.95) Falafel side was okay. Enough flavor and not greasy. Very nice and healthy approach. Juice was good and was nice to enjoy today on such a hot 90 degree day. It seems to be very understaffed here and the Uber eats and Doordash orders are extremely busy. Employees are nice - just very crazed. Hopefully it was an off day and the employees are not as stressed.I opted to dine out because of how busy it was.

Came in on a Friday evening. It was quiet at that hour, but that was fine with me, as I didn't have to deal with the rush hour crowd. The venue is spacious and has plenty of tables and booths for seating. The guy working behind the counter was quite friendly. I got a Choco Dream smoothie and the Poké bowl with salmon+tuna as my protein and brown rice as my base (the alternative was quinoa, but he recommended the rice).

    La bomba wrap
    Susan Y.

The la bomba wrap I ordered was tasty! It's vegetarian but it didn't feel like I'm eating just veggies and a tortilla, the meal left me stuffed once I finished it :) Carrot Express recently opened up in Flatiron and I wanted to give it a try! One thing I would note is it's not like fast food, the food might take a bit (faster than restaurant dining but slower than fast food) so if you looked at the title assuming it's "express" it's not that quick so just keep it in mind. Though the orders do not come out asap, I really appreciated the TLC they put into my wrap, it was nicely presented, fully stuffed, quinoa/ all the ingredients were fresh, and everything was so warm!! They definitely cooked it on the spot - I walked from here to Baruch Vertical campus and my wrap still had steam coming out! Will be trying something new the next time I visit here!

Carrot Express completely exceeded my expectations. They have a huge healthy menu and I wanted to try everything. I ordered the following to go: - Poke Wrap ($16.95+) - Strawberry Passion Smoothie ($8.95+) The Poke Wrap was healthy, very filling and absolutely delicious. You have a choice of: - brown rice or quinoa - fresh ahi tuna or fresh salmon - cilantro lime or soy ginger dressing It also had a bunch of other delicious ingredients inside including avocado, edamame, seaweed salad and more. I'd asked for my wrap without the spicy mayo & eel sauce and added soy sauce instead at home. The Strawberry Passion Smoothie was fresh and tasty, with a delightful blend of strawberries, fresh apple juice, banana and honey. It was perfect for a hot day like today. The food did take more than 15 minutes during off peak hours, even though the place is called Carrot "Express." It was still worth the wait, though. They had a couple of tables outside and plenty of tables inside, with a modern, clean, chic vibe. If you have time and are looking for a healthy, delicious option in Flatiron, give this place a try!

I came here as a part of a Yelp Elite Promotion and wasn't sure what to expect. I'm not always a fan of fast-casual healthy places, but I was excited to give it a try. And I was not disappointed! I took my order to-go, but was a bit bummed about that because the inside of the place is adorable. The vibes are great, everything is clean, and the decor is inviting. The staff was incredibly kind and quick. I was impressed from the moment I walked in the door. I got a piña colada smoothie and a liv wrap. I LOVED my smoothie. It was so fresh and so tasty, but not so rich that it made me feel weighed down. It was smooth and filling. It was completely unexpected and a refreshing surprise. My wrap was delicious as well. I'm hesitant to get wraps a lot of places because they usually have the facade of being healthy when they actually aren't, but this wrap was so different. It was filling and delicious in all the right ways. This stuff was great fuel for my body! I would suggest Carrot Express for anyone looking for something quick, filling, and healthy. It's in a great location for tourists and locals alike for a good lunch. I'll come back soon!

This place is an awesome location for fast, casual and healthy food! It was perfect timing for me since I came here after the gym and this place had lots of great healthy options that left me feeling full and content. I ordered the chicken pesto bowl, a refresher juice and a carrot cake. The bowl was loaded with lots of brown rice, chicken, kale, avocado and corn. I loved every single bite of it. The juice was delicious too for something that had ginger in it to give it a nice kick. The carrot cake was also super moist and delicious. I would love to get this on my own again for a snack. Their menu is so expansive and diverse that I feel like I would have to come here much more frequently just to try out their vast selection of wraps, bowls, salads, burgers, sweet potatoes, juices, desserts, etc. All in all, eating healthy never tasted and looked so good. I'm a fan of this place and can't wait to go back again.

Fortunately, the server brought a new (cold) one and the rest of the meal was smooth sailing. Service was friendly, the vibe was homey and relaxed, and the food was solid across the board. Would definitely come back, especially for that salad and another round of grenadine magic.

It's $25 for unlimited drinks plus food by the way. Which is sad is a deal these days. Anyway, their happy hour is solid enough for a Monday and was meeting up with a friend I hadn't seen in over a year. Place is actually very cute. There are no tvs which I appreciate and the paneling of the walls and decor with all the flowers is quite tasteful. Happy hour deals 4-7pm Mon-Fri & all night Thursday apparently: Aperol Spritz $8, Hugo Spritz $9, Paloma $10, Mules $9, Draft Beers (except Guinness) $7, House Wine $9. As well as 2 Appetizer Bites for $19.95. Not the best but not the worst. I'm normally not a Spritz kind of gal. I think watering down prosecco or wine is heinous. But it was a Monday and I didn't exactly feel like powering down into happy hour so Aperol Spritz it was which switched to a Modelo later. It was the perfect drink situation on a god awful hot as hell day. We also ordered the fish tacos and what initially were the curry fries but they brought out the Greek fries. I wasn't mad about it. Honestly was torn between the two and I don't send food back unless something really bad happened. But it was essentially a side of Caesar salad dressing with feta cheese and generous amount of herbs on a very sparse and frugal amount of crispy standard cut fries. Now I know why it's a 2 for $20 deal. The tacos were 3 in an order which I guess is typical. They weren't bad but nothing stood out to me. I'd come for the drinks or try something else on the menu.
