I don't usually write reviews for retail stores, but the service at this location was so exceptional. This is by far the best LensCrafters location I've visited. The entire team is incredibly friendly, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable--truly outstanding. The store is clean and well-organized, with a great selection of glasses and sunglasses. If you can't find what you want, they can see if it's available for order. I also had an eye exam here, and the staff was thorough and attentive. It isnt the lack of customer service,or selections, its company that owns lenscrafters, Luxotica thats the problem. They do not cover their own mistakes! Twice now I purchased transitional prescription lenses.And they were defective and they would not cover it because it was a prescription! That is insane! So I have 2 brand new defective transitional prescription raybans that I cannot use in the Sun. Luxottica On their own website says that they warranty defects for 2 years, I went into the store after a couple of months and showed them what happened, They sent detailed descriptions and pictures to the company and they denied it! Again , stating that it was a prescription lens , so I would never go back and give that company my $$ EVER! read more

Brand new location with lots of selections! Formally located at the Westminster Mall, but now they're in this brand new stand-alone store which they recently opened up a couple of months ago. Everything is new and modern. I live in N Huntington Beach so this location is most convenient for me. I love that you can drive up without having to go through the mall. I needed an eye exam and glasses. I walked right in without an appt, and they were able to help me right away. The staff were so friendly. Equipment was well sanitized and appeared to be the latest technology in optometry. Exam went fairly smooth. Then walked over to the store section to browse through lots and lots of frames. They have an impressive selection of styles. The store manager came over to help me. They pulled up my insurance benefits and helped me find something within my budget and deciding between frames. Appreciated all the help and honesty. One caveat is that they don't make the glasses on-site. It could take 7-10 days to pick up but they say it has always been earlier than that. I'm not the type to leave BAD Yelp reviews however due to the way I was treated this will be my FIRST. The assistant manager (LAN) seems racists against MEXICANS, she was no help at all didn't even get greeted as I came in. After I gave her my name & told her where I came from (20+ miles away) she went ghost and had a team leader assist me instead almost as if she was disgusted by me. Furthermore, I went in ready to buy Dolce & Gabbana frames and wanted to place the order in store only to get told to sit & wait because a customer that came in AFTER me was doing a return. The people on the phone were nice, but the people in the store, not so much. I wish the wonderful, kind phone people were the ones to take care of me, because no one even greeted me when I walked in. They even helped a person out who walked in after me before anyone even said hello. The assistant manager told me my son dropped his toy and STILL didn't greet me or offer to help, despite me standing very clearly in the middle of the room waiting patiently. I'll skip over some of the boring but equally disrespectful details to mention the sweet optometrist who really worked hard on my exam! She did a great job, but failed to mention an issue with my eye (that I know I have), and attempting to dumb down the explanation til I asked her specifically about it. Final thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the terrible pushy sales tactic from the dispensing optician. She quotes me almost $500 for new lenses only, despite the fact that I brought my own frames. Apparently the trick is to add on all the bells and whistles first without asking if you want it. I don't just give out 5 randomly but the service, selection of product and pricing all left me pleasantly satisfied. I went in to get a prescription for reading glasses as I'd been putting it off and thought it would be quick. First of all, the store is very elegant looking with a clean open interior. I was greeted immediately and appreciated how nice everyone was dressed, adding to the upscale feel of the place. Filled out a medical questionnaire and had my exam which went smoothly. After I had my new prescription, I was introduced to Lan whom was very helpful In helping me pick out a pair of glasses. I was torn between two different styles and it was nice to have someone else's opinion as to what looked good and framed my face well. She saw me clean my current glasses with shirt (bad habit) and offered to clean them for me which was very kind. She mentioned portable eye glass cleaning kits were on sale for Memorial Day so I grabbed two since I obviously was in need! Overall this store and Lan as well as everyone I interacted with exceeded my expectations which is rare these days. Very disappointing. My girlfriend and I purchased a pair of prescription glasses along with 1 yr supply of contact lenses and when I called to see if I can upgrade my prescription glasses to add a coat against the sun, they declined. Saying I was over the month upgrade. I understand I'm nearly a month in a half, but I figured since we purchased nearly $2,000 worth of products they can make the exception for the half of month over the time frame. I was willing to pay for the enhancement but they were only offering a discount on a new pair of glasses. I didn't want new pairs, just a coat. read more

Made an appointment ahead of time for today (Sunday) and arrived a little early in order for fill out the paperwork about my vision and make sure I got all of my insurance information in their system before my appointment. Carl was the employee who initially greeted me and helped get me set up for my appointment. He was very helpful and polite and got my insurance information easily into the system. I only waited about 5 minutes before Dr. Tran greeted me to take me to the exam room. She was very friendly and communicated and explained everything very well. She made sure that I was able to see clearly on all tests before we moved on to the next thing. Once we were done with the exam she walked me back out and I was helped by Miguel. He was very energetic and knowledgeable. There was a minor system issue during my visit there but he worked through it professionally and kept helping me and talking to me through it. He had a really good personality. He was able to get me set up with a pair of new glasses and new sunglasses and then I was able to come back to pick them up after an hour! I thought I should mention that if you do not have insurance but have AAA you can still get a good discount on your purchase of frames and lenses! If I could leave a 0 I would. Went to buy a frame with my insurance. Bought a Jimmy Coo frame in silver. Decided I wanted it in black. So I called the lady that helped me Jasmine and told her I wanted to exchange them for the black one. She said she tried to order them but couldn't. Told me to go online and see if I could order them and come back in and exchange. Well I bought them at full price almost 400.00 and come to the store and the story changed. Couldn't exchange them. All Jasmine could say is sorry. She never told me the online store is different than their's. Their policies are totally different. Will not use them again and don't recommend them to anyone. You'll loose money if you do. Don't use Jasmine if you do. She's very confused. Read their negative feedback. They have ripped off many people. read more

Visited this location two different times. The first time was two months ago when I needed to get the nose pads on my glasses adjusted. One of the staff members helped me out and even offered to clean my lens (and the glasses of my family member I was with too). When I bought my glasses from LensCrafters, I was told they offer unlimited free cleanings and adjustments, so I'm glad that service is available! My second visit was last month when I was browsing for new frames. One of the staff asked if I was looking type of frames in specific, and offered recommendations on styles that would suit my prescription. I was able to try on different frames without any hassle (I felt like I was being interrogated at the Anaheim LensCrafters). The same staff member later came by and told me that he was about to be done with his shift, so if I needed any help or had questions, then another staff member would be able to help me. I ended up needing to ask the second staff member about a Ray Bans frame, and he gave me a pricing estimate for if I were to buy the frame with the authenticated RB lens, or LensCrafters' lens. Overall, I'd come back to this LensCrafters! I had a pleasant experience; the staff were friendly and helpful. read more

I walked in with a broken pair of glasses yesterday. The young lady at the counter was very kind. She referred me to Fix It Fast, and gave me a referral worth 10% off. After 3 hrs. my glasses were fixed and I took the glasses back to Lens Crafter. They replaced the nose pads and cleaned up the glasses at no charge. At no time was I even asked if the glasses were purchased there. They were not. The kindness and willingness to help me out was a breath of fresh air, in a world where customer service is practically nonexistent. Next pair of glasses I buy, I'm going to Lens Crafter! read more

Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. They usually have some kind of promotion going on as well to get discounts. Every time I've been they've always run the pricing different ways and let me know which route would be the cheapest. Beware, LensCrafters/Global Eyecare/Dr Elaine Kao & associates (multiple locations) are rip offs and will take advantage of vulnerable people. As a senior they will tell you their insurance software "system" is having problems or glitches and they will charge you out of pocket, telling you your insurance will reimburse you later, leaving you to discover they are no longer carried by an insurance company for over a year. How can their salespeople not inform their customers before they sit in their chairs. They are downright unethical. It's so sad what these medical practices are doing to the community. Ivan, the assistant manager , is a great ambassador for your store. My husband and I have been your customer for the past 15+ years. We have been at the Bella Terra store then moved to Jamboree following Myra. After that she moved to Texas so we kept going to that store as Lani, the store manager took good care of us. As we are getting older, it is important to us that we find a good optometrist. So we now go to Dr. Kao and then met Ivan. After much to do, I got the progressive every day wear, the same for my sun glasses and a computer glasses. First round the measurement was way off. Richard was helping us. I think he did the right measurement but the technician on Sunday wasn't as experienced as Hector. So we had to take them back to correct the prescription. Now they are perfect. Coming in having my own frames (that are less than 7 months old) the new lenses that were installed for horribly. The worst part about it was after I got home I realized there was tons of scratches that I can't clean off. If the people weren't such good individuals as people I'd give it a 0 stars. I've been coming to this particular LensCrafters location for the last 11 years. I've always had a great experience. Some visits take longer than others but I'm aware that's usually the case because I schedule my exams at the end of the year. That's just how it worked out when I first got my vision benefits 11 years ago. I always find the perfect fit of glasses and contacts for my needs. The associates work with me for the best pricing and how best to maximize my benefits. They used to also give me my AAA discount but recently I've been informed it's one or the other. Oh well. The staff has changed a lot since then in terms of the actual salespeople but they've always been friendly and as quick as they can be with a store full of people. I've only ever been to Wal-Mart for vision exams and services when I was in high school so I don't have much else to compare to but I really do like this LensCrafters. There is one right around the corner from where I live, but I still keep driving a little over 10 miles to come here instead. Dr. Cao is my favorite so far. She's very nice and thorough. Recently I also brought my 5 yo for his first exam to get him used to it. He saw Dr. Sandy Tran and she was great with him.
