They got my prescription wrong twice in 2 days. No third chance for me. The only pro to this place is the staff is really nice. I made an appointment on a Saturday. I waited over an hour for my eye exam. When I finally saw the Dr. She wouldn't listen to me, she was really rushed and I knew things were off to a bad start. I got my glasses back in an hour and a half and they did nothing. I could put them on and take them off with no change in my vision. I tell the girl I'm working with and she says it can take up a week to notice a change. I was baffled by this because that's not really how glasses work, you notice a change when you put them on. I tried to get an appointment for the next day to get my prescription fixed. She told me they were booked solid. As soon as we left I looked at their website and booked an appointment for the next day myself. Imagine that, they did have an opening (sarcasm). I go in the next day, this Dr was much nicer but still got it wrong. I see worse with the glasses now. I'm going to be taking advantage of their 30 day money back guarantee this week and go to a private practice. This is beyond ridiculous. The doctor at this location that does the eye exams is great, The sales staff is not. My hours are at work or a little funny so I'm not able to make it into the shop at an early time. Dr.Susan chao kim is a wonderful eye doctor. I have been coming to her for about 6 years and Every time she has gone out of her way for me and my family. I have had very bad eye infection that she helped me with. She helped with my 5 year old son who has autsim by going one on one with him to make him comfortable to have his exam. Also has helped me get the right glasses I need she is honest and a good person and she knows alot. read more

This place is in need of more employees. Also people who know what they are doing. Customer service was pretty bad. My manager at my work got me on a waiting list through lions club to help me get new glasses. It seems since I wasnt a paying customer they could treat me however they wanted. I waited almost a year to get in there to get glasses. Wont go back. The eye doctor was rude too. Gave it two stars because the glasses are cute and I got them in an hour. This is a horrible LensCrafters! First I went there, got my eyes examined... picked out my new glasses. Once i got them i noticed right away, that the sides of my glasses were blurry. I couldn't go back right away because of my very very busy schedule but when i finally went back, they told me it was because the frame i picked was to large. They convinced me to purchase a smaller but more expensive one... when i went home with that one... it had the same problem! whats worse is when i showed others they actually agreed that they can see the scratches on the sides that are making my vision on the side blurry. I let them keep my money and have since decided NEVER to go to LensCrafters ever ever ever again. They lost business for all of my family and myself. read more

I've been to this location twice in the last 13 months. I am a cash-paying customer, no vision benefits. The first visit was standard. I was impressed with the customer service. My glasses were ready in an hour and I left a happy customer. I became dissatisfied after inspecting my glasses a month later. One lens has a very small crack and the "premium" anti-reflective coating was coming off on both lenses. After some Internet research, I found out that an alcohol-free lens cleaner should be used on glasses with anti-reflective coating, I was using an alcohol-based cleaner. This is a little detail that the rep left out despite my telling him that I'd never had an anti-reflective coating on my lenses before. Neither problem was affecting my vision so it wasn't worth the hassle of bringing it back to the store. I scheduled a second appointment when I needed a color tint on my glasses. I called to confirm that they could do that tint; the woman who answered the phone said they couldn't (Why is she answering the phone if she's not familiar with basic services offered?) so I schedule an appt elsewhere (would have to send my glasses to a lab, wait 7-10 days). A GM called me as a followup and said yes, they can do that tint and have it ready in an hour. My instant-gratification impulse got the better of me and I was impressed that they could fit me in the next day. And then it became apparent that they probably overbooked when I walked in. It was extremely busy. There were too many people and not enough employees/doctors to help. I could hear the staff, manager, and eye doctor trying to figure out who needs help next. I had an eye exam and needed new lenses, very straight-forward. I ended up being ignored at the counter and then abandoned after the eye exam after many "I'll just be one minute" promises from an employee, who subsequently disappeared without a sight; I hope she's okay. I am a very patient person but my visit was over two hours. Alas, the eye doctor was very polite and personable. And the GM helped as much as he could. I thought that my experience may have been a one-off thing but reading others' reviews, it's really not that unusual. My prescription came out okay after both eye exams so no complaints there. read more

After making an appt. and asking how much my visit would cost out of pocket, they sprung an extra $55 fee for "fitting" my contacts not covered by insurance. Before that, 3 people haggled over my insurance plan, but would not accept my insurance card when I offered it. Then, I was escorted to a room for vision testing by an associate, and 1 minute later asked to leave by the doctor because I wasn't supposed to be there yet. read more

If I could I would give them Zero Stars. I would. This is a Mill. You wait forever, they are so busy trying to get everyone who comes inside, that the patrons LensCrafters has being sized, picking up glasses or choosing frames are walked away from and left, with no help. The glasses we ordered had to be " sent out" because they couldn't make them there. When we called about pick up 10 days later, the glasses we ordered had been "broken" so they had to re-order them. When they came in the salesperson handed them to us and said " have a nice day" . No fitting to see if they fit!? I was back in one week. The glasses were not put under a light to turn them when the sun hit. The manager was perplexed that they were not checked by the person whom we picked them up from. The total cost was close to 700.00 dollars. You can get cheaper and at Walmart or online. The only reason I went there was we needed the glasses immediately and the commercial says they make the glasses there ..False...It was a horrible experience and I hope nobody patronizing them. Not only does this place always take forever to help customers, but this year I decided to get a new pair of glasses and sunglasses for vacation. BEFORE checking out I was adamant about the fact that I wanted them for my vacation, which was a week away at that point. I was told they would arrive in time (otherwise I would have picked something else). I called this morning and was told they were ready only to find out when I got there that the glasses were ready, but that the sunglasses arrived only the day before and they hadn't been in to work on them. I called at 2:00 and was told that they hadn't arrived yet, which is weird because that contradicted what I was told earlier. I asked when the shipment would arrive and they couldn't give me a time. I got a same day appointment and the doctor really knew what she was doing! The entire staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The nice lady who assisted me with picking out glasses was completely honest about the shape that suited my face and made sure I was completely satisfied with my purchase before I left. They had my glasses ready in the 1 hour time frame the provided me and the quality is unmatched in my opinion. I need progressive lenses for the first time in my life, I am in my mid-20s, and the doctor made sure I knew exactly what to expect. She was spot on with how I would adjust and the time frame it would take me to get used to them! That was invaluable information and kept me from returning the glasses otherwise. Anyone with progressive lenses can understand what I am talking about here...it is hard to get used to them and you can get pretty disoriented until you do. read more

Do not put your trust in this place! The sales staff has no clue about glasses or lenses. They appear to just to sell you what they think you should have without even asking you what it is you want, at the most marked-up price as possible. (Not their fault, it's the fault of management and owners). When my husband and I asked what type of lenses they use they couldn't answer the question. They make them on site. You don't know what you make? When asked why they were charging my husband more than the $45 allowed for regular anti reflective coating, we were told because he was getting the "Blu-IQ" lense and it only comes with an "upgraded" anti reflective lense. When asked what was the diffence between the regular and "upgraded" anti-reflective lense was and why it needed the "upgraded" version she couldn't give us an answer. And as far as I could tell from my research, this so called "blue IQ " lense is an "anti-reflective" lense, so why are we paying for something it already has? After going to ask someone else we were told the regular anti-reflective lense had one coat and the "upgraded" had 2 coats. Really . Make sure you know exactly what your insurance covers before you walk in and be ready to fight to get the correct pricing. Also read up on what you really need vs. what they want to sell you before going to any eyeglass place. Better yet, go to Costco or Walmart! Probably the only 2 major eyeglasses places not controlled by the same non-U.S. company "Luxotica". This place will try their best to sell you your lenses at prices way above what your insurance costs are, and if you don't have your insurance coverage in front of you to call them on their b.s. then you're screwed! My son chose a pair of Ray-Bans sunglasses that cost $168.00 before insurance. When he sat down to find out how much they'd be in total with the prescription lenses, he was told somewhere around $268 +. He was never asked what kind of lense he wanted, if he wanted anti-reflective lenses, etc. When I asked if that cost was before our insurance discounts she stated no, that was with our insurance discount. When I showed her that with polycarbonate, anti-reflective, tinted, scratch resistant lenses the charges should be no more than $110 for the lenses and the frames should be no more than $13.40, I was then told that it was because they had to send them to "Ray-Bans" company to get "their own special lenses" put on them. What???? Ray-Bans are owned and made by "Luxotica", an Italian company that makes the majority of all major brands sold today.The company that makes the frames does not make lenses. So who are they going to send them to?? Luxotica also OWNS Lens-Crafters. This was total bull!!!! She finally said she'd talked to the person in the back who made their lenses in house. She then tells us he could make the lenses but not with an anti-reflective coating and not the exact tint that my son picked out from their list. Really??? No anti reflective coating?? Seeing that this is the last day of our insurance and we didn't have time to keep listening to the insanity they were feeding us we said go ahead with that. After all of that, and all the time we spent there, we said fine, go ahead with it. Our sales person then said she had to ask the lady who ran the front counter a question first . When she came back, she stated they made a mistake. They can't make the glasses. OMG! What the hell! If they can't scam you out of more money than your insurance states and you call them on their bs, then they deny the sale???? So we left with nothing. And since that was the last day of our insurance we got screwed. We will never, ever, go back to this place nor will I ever refer anyone to LensCrafters. It's a sham! A major class action lawsuit is in order. How many people have they been over-charging without them ever knowing? read more

I used my 2 year benefit plus $500 cash for a pair of glasses I can't wear. I got migraines after 10-15 minutes of wearing the glasses, Lens Crafters kept telling me to keep trying them it takes time for your eyes to adjust but, the third time I went back they said now it's past the 30 day return deadline so we can't help you anymore! I've spent the last two years straining my eyes with a 10 year old pair glasses waiting for my benefits to give me another chance for new glasses! If that wasnt punishment enough, went back a few days later to buy a pair of nose pads for my old glasses and was told they were free but I couldn't have them, the glasses I wanted them for were not purchased at Lens Crafters, so I offered to buy the nose pads and was told they couldn't sell them to me either, unbelievable, possiby my worst retail experience ever, I'm standing in an Eyeglass store and they are refusing to sell me a pair of rubber nose pads because there free but i can't have them for free either! Worst customer service. I forgot the name of the rep who helped us. She is an Asian lady. She has no customer service skills. We didn't go there to buy anything. We went there to get my daughter's glasses fixed. She took the it and went to back office. We were just browsing. She came out of the back room, left my daughter glasses on the counter and yelled out to try try it when we have time. Then she left. She didn't even bother to wait for us. We were thinking that she would come back because the problem wasn't totally fixed. She never showed up. There was another lady who helped us. We usually go to the Palmdale mall location. I went in for a contact lens prescription. They ordered 2 different trial lenses for me. They gave me one trial pair and then afterwards the doctor changed the axis and had me trial out those pair once they came in. When I went back in the doctor "accidentally" clicked the wrong prescription to the pair I had not tried and instead of adjusting it, she scratched and scribbled the correct contact lens name on my prescription. When my husband went in to order my contacts it took over 3 weeks to receive them as my contact prescription is very high and special order. A week after I got my contacts the doctor called and told me they ordered the wrong ones. It took 3 months for them to get my correct lenses in which did not even feel as good or comfortable as the pairs I was wearing that they ordered "incorrectly". The contact lenses they replaced them with were Proclear Toric XRs which are a very terrible brand as I had 2 contacts rip within a week of each other, once taking them out and once when I rubbed my eye. I have been wearing contacts for over 10 years and have never experienced contact lenses that rip so easily! I went through 2 months of contacts in 2 weeks due to this. Very unhappy. read more

If I could rate 0 stars, I would! I used to always get my glasses at this Lens Crafters, but now, this store has gone south and I will never shop here for glasses again! The sales staff have no idea about glasses. I wasn't measured for my glasses, so of course when my glasses were ready, they didn't fit right. Even though I told the lady my glasses were not right, she told me to take them home and give it a couple of days to get used to them. Well, after 2 days of not being able to see out of my glasses I brought my glasses back to the store. The lady that helped me this time said I needed to have my eyes re-examined and made an appointment. I didn't understand that concept...I had my prescription from a very well known and trusted eye doctor. My problem was that lens Crafters never measured my eyes, so my glasses were not made correctly. I went to the appointment that was made for me and the staff could not find my file. WHY couldn't they find my file? Because I didn't have my eye exam there in the first place! Finally a male supervisor told me that I couldn't have a re-exam there because I didn't have my initial exam there. I told the supervisor that I just want my glasses made correctly! The supervisor took measurements and said he would have the glasses remade. A few days later I picked up my glasses and now it's blurry when I put my glasses on. I was advised at this point to go back to my eye doctor and have my prescription rechecked. I did that and my prescription was correct, however they tweaked it a little to make it sharper. I brought that prescription back to lens Crafters and the lady in the lab told me she had to send the glasses out to have them remade. Well 2 weeks have passed so I called lens Crafters to see if my glasses were ready and the lady who answered the phone couldn't find my glasses and didn't show any record of a pending order. Now I'm upset and requesting a refund. I was told the manager would call me right back, but guess what? The manager never called me! Do NOT shop at this store unless you want to encounter problem after problem after problem from a staff who don't have any idea as to what they are doing! read more

This place could definitely use some more employees, as there always seems to be a wait. Every year I seem to have a different problem at this place. Last year when I picked up my prescription sunglasses they made me dizzy as soon as I put them on, I alerted the manager but she told me my eyes just needed to adjust. I left, but there was no way I could wear the glasses, I took them back & was insistent that they have them looked at. turns out the lab reversed my prescription. So I had to wait for them to be fixed. This year I ordered my regular glasses, went to pick them up & the Dr told me that they need to be remade. Even though 2 different techs supposedly signed off on them as being ok, the Dr informed me that both lenses had been cut too short for the frame. She scheduled me a follow up appointment for the following Monday to finalize my contact lenses. I never got the apt email so I called today to confirm the time & it turns out no apt was made.
