The Sunglass Hut Inside the mall is amazing! Edna, Anthony, and Liz were all so friendly, helpful, approachable, understanding, knowledgeable and probably the BEST customer service I ever got! However, the Sunglass Hut inside MACY's is not so great. The associate Matt was condescending; didn't want any more of my time and money wasted there. He needs to be trained on his customer service skills. Maybe the communication was not there but you can tell the frustration in his voice. Just not a pleasant experience. read more

I went into Sunglass hut in PALMDALE to return a $466. pair of sunglasses and was told because the little cloth that came with the sunglasses was used that it was going to cost me the $40. deductible on the insurance I purchased to return the glasses. So I clarified with Lucretia the saleslady that was doing the return that I was going to have to pay $40. to RETURN my sunglasses because the cloth was used to wipe the lenses of my sunglasses. As you can tell from my photo I have a bit of a collection of Ray-Bans I buy a new pair almost monthly, so I go into sunglasses hut almost religiously, now let me explain the scenario, I went in like a usually do, however this time I had my son and my mother who's visiting from Maryland, she found a pair she really liked I tried them on while I was wearing them my son ran out the store also while I was on a phone call, the employees accused me of attempting to steal, now mind you I understand where they're coming from but my mother was still in the store offering to pay for them in the event I didn't come back, but also my diaper bag and my jacket were still in the store, now I realize this is more of just a large misunderstanding but now I feel uncomfortable returning to that store and adding to my collection. read more

Andrea was my sales rep along with Adriana they both were amazing and totally listened to what my concerns were on an exchange. I was so impressed Adriana explained to me the difference in Oakley technology and Maui Jim polarization. she was spot on with why my issue!!! I left with the Maui Jim and i am totally happy. I told her i had other models and i explained what they look like and she knew every model number of the glasses in her head!! She and the staff was awesome and i will always make my purchases there. before i left they called Macy's sunglass hut and the manager brought me a very nice case to go with my purchase. A simple request to have a small defect in a $200 plus pair of glasses turned into a nightmare. Mind you with the receipt as well. The arm of the sunglass delaminated. Simple fix...either exchange them, help us order the new part, or get a different pair. Well that turned into the manager and two employees to laugh at my wife, roll their eyes, then accuse us of threatening them because I said " this will be a customer service nightmare for you if this is not resolved." The employee then started saying we threatened them, the other employee then started laughing at my wife and I, all the while the "manager" Named LaCretia is standing by allowing her employees to bully my wife and giving my family dirty looks...as well, they called mall security over this customer service issue. There was no cursing, threats, nor name calling by my wife or I and they just couldn't seem to handle a very simple issue... The good news, the regional manager was wonderful and handled it as my wife's glasses were replaced. However, the apology my wife was told she'd get when she went to the store to replace them...well that didn't happen. They bullied her and my 16 yr old daughter again with eye rolls and angry looks, immaturity...oh and called mall security to intimidate my wife and daughter. read more

The employee at the store tried to find every excuse under the sun not to do a return. She finally called her manager because she said she was "new." The manager lied and said (even though it's still within the 90 day return timeframe), that we were wrong. When I told her she may want to reconsider giving us the refund as small claims would cost even more for them (in a very businesslike way) she lied yet again and said I had threatened her and called mall security on me. Shame on her for being so unscrupulous, and too bad for Sunglass hut for hiring horrible employees and tolerating such sneaky return refusals. read more
