First order of two pairs of glasses for computer and for driving at night (asked them if my halo/spikes around lights during night driving can be helped) - they messed up with what lenses go to which frame. Redone it. Then I found out that distance glasses don't work, came back again. Turned out they missed I have astigmatism. Redone this pair again. And they still don't work again. Called several times and each time either voicemail or someone had taken a note with a promise to call me back but nobody ever called. When I came back myself they said it's too late and they can't help, pay out of pocket for everything again. Wasted tine, wasted several hundreds on frame and lenses. And no help, just indifferent "we can't redo it so many times", like it wasn't they fault each time. Won't come back to this location ever again. Luckily, there are many options around. read more

But I gave this one a 2-star because they were supposed to replace my broken frames (less than 30 days after purchase) completely free. Can't complain about that part. I can, however, complain about their customer service and communication. I gave them my glasses on Sept 10, 2014. I called them twice and was put on hold for over ten minutes each time. Now it's October 4, 2014 and when I called, someone from the "lab" said that they have no idea what happened to my frames and glasses. Sad sauce. I need glasses. That's why I have them. Miko....The cutest thing to come to Lenscrafters in Tustin. I've never ever been to Lenscrafters before but decided to give them a try this year. I have to say my perception of Lenscrafters was kinda in line with the thought of Wal-Mart for glasses. I dunno why but I just never associated them having good lens/service. I think my perception of them was set in stone when they 1st came out and my family and friends complained. Since then (which was many moons ago), I just never considered giving them my time. Well, I will totally eat my words now. I made an appt and they were nice on the phone. I got the same day appt, I got there a little early to check out the frames and establishment. I met Miko, she was working during the holidays at this store, she's normally from the Bay area. She met with me, helped me try on several frames to my needs. She was with me till the Exam time. The Exam went smoothly, the doctor was super nice and made my experience even more memorable/noteable. I will say, I wasn't too impress with their brands....their higher brands were not the greatest and latest styles I thought. I'm a Frame Snob when it comes to frames/glasses. Having friends in the business, I've always been lucky to have the greatest styles/brands at the tip of my fingers. But I chose this particular store becuz it did have Prada and more higher end frames than most other stores. I'm not a fan of what they carried either but if I was gonna get a good pair at Lenscrafters, I wanted it to be a good frame/brand. I did do my research online and they had a red pair I was interested in. They actually had it in the store and it fit my face perfectly. it was a winner. The entire experience was smooth, I had to wait about 1.5 hours after the process to get my frames, the same day! Love it. Their return policy was pretty awesome too. If you're not happy in 30 days, you can exchange or return in. I was happy with my time there. I even got a phone call the following day from someone from the store asking how it all went. Wow....I will be coming back next exams. I don't know if I will buy their brands again, unless they get new stuff in. We'll see next year. I told my regular optometrist about LensCrafters and he said that LensCrafters bakes their anti-glare coating onto their lenses whereas your non-commercialized optometrist puts the coating between the glass in your lenses, so they last forever and you can't be blamed for cleaning them "wrong". Yes, you get your glasses in an hour at LensCrafters, but the glasses don't even last you until your next allowance from your insurance. Not worth it, in my opinion. read more

After being turned down at Costco because my eyes are so bad, LensCrafters hooked me up with some great glasses. They have a decent selection of frames. I'd say most of the frames are more towards the expensive side, but just look around and you'll find something good. Plenty of ways to save money with different discounts. The hinge on my wife's glasses became stuck in the open position and no amount of coaxing could get it to close. That is to say, the missus wouldn't let me try after what I did to the shower door...busted. We took her glasses back to LensCrafters and shared our frame problem with one of the staff. After a quick review, he handed the problem off to the lead "crafter", Geo. He got some info from us and then said, "Give me a minute" and took the glasses back to the room where the magic happens. Shortly, he returned with my wife's glasses and the hinge was working. Still a little stiff, but he recommended treating with WD40 when we get home. I made an appointment online for a new prescription for my contacts and glasses. When I arrived, everyone was very nice and welcoming. This location was fairly busy. I browsed the selection of glasses as I waited for my doctor. I inadvertently went out-of-network, so everything was a bit more than I was expecting to pay. However, this was my fault, not their's. I ended up using my existing frames and purchasing new lenses only. My glasses were ready very quickly. The contacts I ordered were shipped to my residence and also arrived timely. We have been a long time customers of LensCrafters and have purchased a lot of eyewear from them. The service is usually good and I guess it just depends on who you talk to. Yesterday we were at the store as one of the sides of my wife''s eyeglasses had a material issue and the glass had deteriorated to a point where she couldnt see thru it. Unfortunately we got a customer service rep who showed more frustration that being able to help us. She told us their systems were down for a few days so she couldnt help. Now a bad eyeglass replacement has nothing to do with the "system" and the reason we went to Lenscrafters was that we dont have to wait for a few days. If they cannot lookup the details, they should have just changed it (even though it might be partially charged a flat fee) but all she said was to go to a different location. The problem was with one side of the glass only so it was a material/warranty related issue, but we were still ready to pay if it could be done. What I disliked most is the attitude shown towards a long time customer - refusing to help and to keep pointing out it was an issue with how the glass was handled was quite disappointing. My advice to Lenscrafters would be to please hire better customer service reps and try to help customers when they need you rather than refusing to help due to computer systems being down. read more

Being a Saturday, it was busy, but there always was a pleasant person to attend to our needs. This Lens Crafters has the absolute worst service I have ever experienced in a service business in my lifetime. They do not care about the customer only about taking the customer's money. Also they do a terrible job at taking the money. They recommend the wrong lenses and don't know how to correct their mistake until I tell them how, at which time I simply requested all of my almost $1000 back so I could escape their clutches. Dr. Mitchell was very kind and so incredibly detailed in her findings, explaining the slight change in my prescription and what that meant for my eyes. Staff were phenomenal. Store was clean and they followed all the Covid protocols, making sure they didn't exceed capacity, and consistently cleaning . First things first - I made my appointment on Lenscrafters.com, then I came here for my exam at the scheduled time. From the minute I arrived, I was treated quite well; I was very impressed with the whole experience! The optometrist who gave me my eye exam was funny and very relaxed, as well as being very thorough and careful. I had a really great overall experience. Next, I went to select my frames, and the service I received was exceptional; the friendly and knowledgeable employee really took their time, and made sure my new glasses fit properly and looked great. I am giving this a one star rating simply because I consider both the iCare and LensCrafters retail as one business. With that being said the eye exam went well and the doctor was friendly and courteous I did feel a little bit rushed. However once out into the Retail side of it I discovered that the lens costs were higher than what I had paid only three months ago. I originally paid $221.41 On October 9, 2021 for the exact same lenses they were quoting me today. The new price is $371.41 that is a difference of $150. I brought the receipts in to show them and their response was you were given a discount. I asked for the same discount and the manager did not work with me on it and could not explain why they had discounted them by $150 in the first place. The total cost of the lenses were somewhere around $650 after my insurance paid somewhere around $260 my out-of-pocket cost was going to be somewhere in the range of $371.41. I believe there is a huge markup on the lenses keep in mind I'm not buying any frames that's just for the lenses. Needless to say I will no longer have my exams taken there or try to purchase any frames or lenses from Lenscrafters again. read more

My 94 year old mom fell and broke her glasses so she stopped wearing them when I realized she wasn't watching tv or reading the paper so I took her to LensCrafters in Tustin today. Happy to see a sign on the door saying the store was at capacity to be safe and please wait outside! It was great, waited just a couple minutes and they opened the door they fixed moms glasses and even repaired where tge lens had chipped during her fall! We couldn't believe it when she came back and said No Charge! This is how neighbors used to help neighbors! 3.5 I was skeptical coming to Lenscrafters after reading the bad reviews and some of them do have merit to them, I had 0 expectations of customer service or even doing business with them and I am satisfied except for a few issues when you first come into the store. I started my order with Lenscrafters at the beginning of the month by just walking into the store and browsing, I noticed when we first walked in, NO ONE greeted us and we were left on our own and was never approached until I walked up to the checkout counter with a few pairs of glasses in my hands. Everyone who was on the floor or behind the counter was so consumed with whatever they were doing that they never bothered to look up and see people come into the store or if they needed help. I was able to flag someone down she was the nicest out of the other staff I encountered during my whole experience, Xiabelle walked me through the process and was familiar with someone having a heavier RX than most, I haven't gotten new glasses in 5 years and my eyes have really declined because of my health so a new RX was definitely in order! She let me put frames on hold while I went to other optical places but I did end up purchasing with Lenscrafters. I came back a few days later to finish the purchase and I saw a pair of glasses at the last second that were screaming my name so I went with those and technology is awesome that I didn't have to wait 2 weeks for my glasses they were ready the very same day! The onsite lab had my lenses on site and didn't need to be ordered which was great! I came back the next day to pick them up and they were super loose after 2 adjustments I thought I was okay but realized once I got home and started moving around that they were still too loose, I waited a few days to come back in and a very nice male employee tightened them, they still aren't super tight to what I would like but they are much better than when I first walked out of the store. He also exchanged my eye cleaning wipe that originally came with my glasses, it had a film on it that made my glasses so dirty and even after washing it I still couldn't get it out so he gave me 2 wipes! Overall, I'm extremely happy with my glasses, I do wish they would work on the customer service aspect when you first walk in, I think it would set a better tone especially if you are a new customer and need help. read more

Recently visited when needed a new set of goggles and was pretty pleased overall with the process. Everyone is pretty nice and they seem to genuinely care about you getting a right fit. When it came to choosing glasses that was the point of contention as I couldn't decide between two pairs. I ended up buying the 2nd pair after I was told they have a 30 day guarantee. After 2 weeks I decided the 2nd pair didn't work for me, just uncomfortable overall. I came in to return the second pair and while I was told it was complicated they wouldn't have an issue helping me out. After a few days of no update I called and spoke to the GM who was very accommodating and considerate in explaining all the laborious details in layman terms. She did a great job of going through it all and making me feel confident in the choices I had made. While the return part wasn't without a small bump the overall effort and customer service was grade A by everyone I've spoke to at this specific location. When it's time for another pair of glasses for me, or anyone else I'll come here. The one and only caveat would be if they follow through with the plan to no longer offer same day glasses so corporate, keep that going ;) read more

I had not had a chance to do a review since going to this location in August. I was extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service. I have a place I normally used to go to but decided to try Lens Crafters for a change since it's closer to my new home. My experience felt very in and out. I didn't feel like the optometrist nor the staff took the time to answer my questions or help me out for the exception of a young lady that greeted me when coming in and checked me in for my appointment. I was hoping she would help me when I was done with my appointment but she seemed to have left for the day. The guy who helped me out seemed to be annoyed to be there. It almost felt like it was a drag for him to look into prices for lens or what my insurance would cover. Needless to say I won't be back to this location nor a Lens Crafters for that matter. I will continue to go to my old optometrist even if it's further away from home. read more
