Update from two years ago, have to say I wish I would have found Lenscrafters and Dr. Mason when my kids were younger. They have a great professional yet friendly and low pressure sales environment. Have brought our family business here. Also have to called out Eltjon S, who does an amazing job on the Lenscrafters Sales side. He has great advice, super helpful with fit, selection and production selection. Also helped us with and old pair of glasses that were not fitting correctly. Thanks Eltjon. I practically don't drive in the dark, so it turned out that at the beginning of March 2024 I had possibility to drive on sunny days and also in the dark. It turned out that I just have prescription glasses and the glasses do not have the anti-glare and ultraviolet coating that were promised. When the opportunity arose on March 7, 2024, I was in the LensCrafters store on 6500 Sawmill Road where I ordered these glasses. There I presented my grievance. I was met by not friendly girl, store employee. She said that the guarantee is only 30 days and they do not accept any claims after, she said that I could complain to the store manager and gave me a business card, only at home I saw that this card only has the store address and phone number, there is no manager's name. I showed my order receipt and asked to explain what kind of coatings my glasses have, but girl just left the store so as not to talk to me, the second employee from order print out couldn't really explain to me what kind of coatings my glasses have. This means, the person who made my order did not place the order correctly, or that is company policy ?. read more

I just wanted to give them five stars. They are so professional and helpful. And they don't mind staying as long as they need to to assist you and being thorough. I really go out of their way to help you - From Everyone to the doctor to Whitney and the others. They were all professional. This place is awesome! They have friendly staff and great doctors. It was a busy Saturday and everyone that walked in was greeted and helped. Took the wife to the Sawmill Road location for an eye exam and to buy some glasses. They got her in quickly and took care of her properly. I also had a small issue with a pair of sunglasses I previously bought from them. I was told to sit at a counter and wait for the next available employee. I waited and waited, for about 45 minutes. When somebody became available they proceeded to go directly to the person that just walked in the door, even though I had been sitting within 10 feet of them for the last 45 minutes. Not sure if the employee was that incompetent or just an idiot, I got up and walked out. I am giving them two stars because the actually did the exam portion for my wife professionally, but the rest of our time there was painful and frustrating. read more

Wow, talk about rude! Came in to compare prices for glasses for my 12-year old daughter, who had just broken her glasses. She only wears them on the weekends, so we don't feel we need to spend a lot on them. When I asked the sales person for pricing of a pair of glasses similar to what another store offered, she said, "We can't match those prices. We're an upscale store - you get what you pay for." The prices here are literally more than twice your typical optical store and that is with their "40%" discount! They do make your glasses in 1 hour versus 1-2 weeks wait for the other places, but I could not imagine having to deal with someone who went straight for the most expensive frames, tried to get my daughter to say she liked them, and seemed to have no regard for my stated concern for lowest price possible. I assume she was following her sales training, but did that include crossed arms, rolling eyes and heavy sighs? She eventually guided us to the "clearance" section after numerous requests for the "cheapest comparable pair possible", but by this time we were so annoyed with the attitude of the store, we just left. read more

When in to get some new glasses and wasn't impressed! We walked in and the guy who helped us didn't work with us, and when they found out they didn't take our insurance, they were very rude. They showed immediate disinterest and stopped helping us as if we weren't worth their time. Plus their frames are super expensive and they have no discounts. I had a conversation with a very disrespectful woman, she spoke to me as if I was incompetent and would not answer any of the questions she needed to. It should have been a very simple exchange, but her attitude and refusal to work with me caused it to fall through. I will not be working with Lenscrafters again. read more

The staff here is so kind! I made a last minute appointment because I ran out of contacts (oops). They got me in quickly and I didn't even have to wait to go back! The staff explained each step to me before puffing air or flashing lights into my eyes. The eye doctor was also really helpful at explaining the procedures he was doing and fitted me for contacts. They even found a great rebate deal for my contacts! This is why they have me coming back every year! read more

It could've gone better. The exam was great, Dr. Mason is very thorough and friendly, he explained everything well and I was impressed. The problem is the lack of help. I waited about 10 minutes before getting seen, about 15-20 minutes before anyone was able to fit me for my glasses, then I waited another 15-20 minutes before someone could fit my son for his glasses, we spent 2.5 hours AND over $500 on his exam, my exam, our glasses and lenses (with our insurance). We were then told to go back in about an hour and our glasses would be finished. We went back a little over an hour later (after having lunch) and were told they were running behind, it'd be another 30 minutes. That's not ok. So we waited and finally my son and I decided we couldn't wait any longer and as we were walking out the door they let us know that his glasses were done. I have it 3 stars because I can't rate 2.5 stars. They had a great selection of glasses and I received them the same day, I recommend planning for about 3 hours of your day here, and when you include lunch and drive time, go ahead and take a half day PTO. read more

They got rid of their LAB. So basically, if you've bought any warranty type service or actually need something fixed or replaced you're out of luck, unless you want to wait 5-10 days. They've managed to turn themselves in to an overpriced outlet store where you can get frames for about 35% more than you can get them at any other department store or chain. They actually said "there is still one in Toledo". Sure, let me just shoot over there, it's only a 2.5 hour drive. read more

I must admit I was hesitant when going to a "chain" for my vision care, however I was desperate as I ran out of contacts over the weekend and couldn't be seen by my normal physician. I called first thing Monday morning and not only where they able to fit me in, but did so on my lunch break which was most convenient for me. I did not wait long in the lobby, and was quite impressed with their up to date technology that made the generally uncomfortable exams quite easy. The feedback provided to me by the staff was equally impressive, and the appointment was over quickly. After ordering my year supply of contacts with rebate, I chose to pick out frames, the staff was extremely helpful in informing me of my insurance options and guiding me through the selection process. I walked out with new glasses and contacts, as well as the confidence of knowing I was well taken care off. The best part, my glasses will be ready for pick up by the end of the day! From beginning to end it was a great experience and I will be going back! read more
