For once a medical appointment that I don't have to deal with during working hours!! I have to say, the minute we started going to this business, it was like a breath of fresh air. No pressure from Dr. Hartig on wanting me to purchase bifocals or progressives (although I know they would be beneficial but I've been refusing to commit). He simply tells me he fully supports my decision, regardless. He is always so kind and personable, and gives me sound advice along with some interesting educational trivia about my eyeballs. The prices here are also so much better than our old optometrist. There are perks at this location that I am told are included in our insurance, but at our old spot they were charging us extra. The selection in eyeglasses is quite grand as well. The staff are very helpful (and honest when giving their opinions on frames, which is much appreciated). We have no plans to go anywhere else for our vision needs!

After I picked up the glasses, I kept seeing double and my eyes never adjusted. I took them back in and they checked my prescription and also my old glasses, and Dr. Beals also checked everything even though she didn't write the prescription. It turned out there was a mistake in the prescription so I had to go back to my optometrist to get it changed. When the new glasses came in, Dr. Beals and the staff checked them again and made sure they were right. All at no extra charge! Dr Stephen Ruth (the resident eye doctor) is very thoirough in his examinations and shows you a video scan of your eye and was able to point out where cataracts were developing. We have been very pleased with Dr Ruth's service - both times. After my last visit, I did purchase new glasses from the Costco Optical Department and have been very pleased with my glasses. They have VERY STRAIGHT FORWARD pricing - lens are a set price that includes all the options - anti-glare, etc. Progressives and bi-focals are a little more expensive than single-vision lens. Dr. Cursaro is very friendly and does fantastic work. He is very attentive and proactive in asking me about how my contacts and glasses are working (and how life is going in general), and it is clear he really loves what he does and cares about his patients. Scheduling is quick and easy, and I've never waited substantially for my appointments. The contacts I just ordered at my recent visit came in the mail just 2-3 days later. They've worked with me on getting comfortable contacts, which was always a problem at the office I went to previously, and quickly resolved the issue! They even helped repair my old set of glasses free of charge! Their selection of frames is great, and the unparalleled service you get here makes it worth parking downtown (which isn't too bad, as there are usually free spots on Marconi and Front if you don't want to troll the connected garage for unreserved spots).
