It's now about three weeks later. I received a call from the store manager after posting my review. After explaining the situation he offered to order the new lenses and make it right at no cost to me. Yesterday I took my glasses in and walked around the mall for about an hour while they replaced the lenses. They are now so much clearer and I'm very satisfied. Hats off to the Store and the manager for making this situation go away and retaining a customer! Excellent customer service in making this right. read more

I found myself in need of new glasses asap. However, due to COVID-19, appointments were limited and location has minimal staff (I get it - safety first). Patience is required; if your call doesn't go through the first few times - keep trying. I secured an appointment 3 days later (after my initial eye exam) to browse their collection and select the ideal frame. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Norma - who was super sweet - especially when I couldn't make up my mind on which frames to purchase. Lo and behold, after trying on several models, I went with an unexpected choice. Once the hard part was done, it was a matter of the lab completing my order. I was surprised with the prompt turnaround time - 2 days. However, my joy was quickly dashed when I discovered a tension crack inside the new frame. I called LC and spoke with Gary who apologized for the damage and offered to look in their stockroom for a replacement. Sadly, my pair were the last one and asked, if I didn't mind waiting a few days, a fresh new pair would arrive within a week's time. I called during the week for an update and to my surprise, got a call back on Friday to do the exchange/replacement. Overall fantastic experience from the level of service to customer care. I was here on Thursday afternoon around 4:30 pm. I do need glasses with a longer temple length and tried to explain to the clerk that I needed his help finding them...I knew the exact size that I needed. He just gave me the spiel about trying on glasses and putting the frames in the white box and went off to do whatever (stand there and do nothing). At some point he was joined by a young female coworker and they had a nice chat for about half an hour about how quiet it was in the store, other coworkers, their manager (they agreed that person was both lazy and ugly btw) and the apartment that the guy wanted to buy in Round Rock, or maybe by Lakeline Mall? Meanwhile I'm there trying to try on and sort through hundreds of pairs of women's glasses hoping I can find a pair to fit my (admittedly large) face, needing help and being forced to listen to their shitty little conversation that was conducted as if I was t even there. The young woman did come up to me finally and was just abruptly in my space with no warning, so I did jump, and all like 'hi, we haven't talked. Could you just please put the glasses in the white box?' She was incredibly patronizing about this. I will admit that I was unthinkingly putting them back in the original spaces on the shelf after I tried them on. Sorry about that. I did get angry and went off on her, which I regret a little, but they were so pointedly NOT going to help me. Even though I was probably going to make a purchase of several hundred dollars :-(. Such a scam. I went in to get glasses when I'm in front of a screen because my eyes were a bit strained. After doing a bit of research into my insurance, etc. i realized they cover a good portion of frames and lenses which leaves me with a copay of about $50 for a nice pair of ray-bans. When I finally selected the pair I wanted and sat down with the female sales associate she told me my part of the payment was almost $400. I was visibly confused and asked why it's so expensive then she offered to take off the premium lens option to bring it down to like $350. I went outside reloaded my insurance portal through LensCrafters and saw again that it was around the $50 mark. I asked her why the difference was so much and she said that it didn't include lens to which when I said it did she started rambling that the lenses will be plastic and too heavy and a list of other B.S. I simply walked out. This was a ridiculous sales tactic that I hope you don't fall for. Ordering online and with a few upgrades I'm only paying $65. Moral of the story, go somewhere else and let them run out of business on their own. read more

Well where do I start? In March of 2018, I went to LC in Barton Creek Mall. I choose a beautiful Coach frame and had my Progressive prescription filled. When I received my glasses, they adjusted them and I was on my merry way. I hadn't renewed my prescription in 4 years. I went home and had difficulty seeing clearly without squinting. Back up to Lens Crafters where they stayed my prescription and measurements were accurate, it must just be me.... Mhmmm they did adjust the frame to fit better on my face. Being the uninformed eye glass person, I was, I continued for the next 10 months squinting and resorting to a pair of glasses I had made at another eye care store. Fast forward to February of 2019.... After creating permanent crows feet on the corner of my eyes from squinting,I was determined to get a new pair of glasses because my eye sight was deteriorating. Back to the optometrist for a new prescription. When he took a reading of my glasses and tested me on the machine, he determined my glasses were not cut right and the prescription was wrong (Lens Crafters doing.) The doctor was very genuine and reassured me my glasses just needed a slight adjustment and prescription change. I took my prescription into Lens Crafters (Barton Creek)told them the story and was quickly shot down by employee arrogance and all knowing attitude. I was wrong. The doctor was wrong and my glasses were right. Ok. I didn't feel like even debating this with them. There was no way they would recut my lens or make me a new lens without charging me for a full pair. They only give a 30 day guarantee and would never admit wrongdoing. So I went ahead and had another pair of glasses made after being completely intimidated and belittled by the assistant manager. Picked them up a week later and they were blurry. I took them to the Lens Crafters in Hill Country Galleria where I was treated with dignity and professionalism. They immediately told me my glasses were cut wrong to the measurement of my eye. They graciously redid them for me. While there, I asked them to look at the pair of glasses the other LC turned away as being perfect. The LC at Hill Country stated the prescription was wrong and they were not cut to my measurements. It was slight but enough to make me see blurry. They stated take them back to Barton Creek talk to the manager who creates the lenses and he assured me they would take care of me because clearly it was LC fault. I called Barton Creek 2 times spoke with the arrogant assistant manager and she stated she would talk to the manager and call me back. She blew me off and never returned my call or followed up. I went back in to LC Barton Creek and the assistant manager was rude. She told me the other LC at Galleria was wrong. They did my glasses properly and she could do nothing for me. I asked her if she talked to the manager and she stated no but that she had asked her a few questions about my glasses. Again, rude, everyone else is wrong and they were right. I get it's been 10 months. I get they are a money making business but to get 2 pairs of glasses cut improperly by the same location cannot be a coincidence. In addition, the service and level of professionalism was absolutely horrible. This LC has such a bad reputation from doctors and other locations that they have difficulty getting people to work here. If you don't want to throw money away on glasses, stay away from this location. If you want good service, I highly recommend LC at Hill Country Galleria. Sorry to say after 4 family members getting there glasses yearly at LC we will be going elsewhere for our business. read more

I've found myself here in times of desperation, not to casually browse frames but to beg for mercy and expediency - e.g., I have an eye infection and can't wear contacts but haven't updated my glasses prescription in a decade, or I was abroad and my one pair of good glasses broke... I've experienced really good, sympathetic customer service here. Yeah it's a business and they'll try and upsell you and the frames go from about $100 up to like $500, but I felt taken care of. Salespeople are helpful and have been as transparent as they can be (well, seemingly). I needed glasses within the day, it was already afternoon, and my prescription is pretty strong, but they came through. Yay! Recommended, for what it is. read more

I bought my sunglasses from Lenscrafters over ten years ago. As far as I recall, everything went smoothly then. What impresses me is their after service care. Said eyewear is so loved and worn that I refer to it as "my Charlie Brown Christmas tree sunglasses". They're held together with a wing and a prayer, but it sure helps that they're also maintained properly by the good folks at Lenscrafters. I bring them by once or twice a year for minor adjustments, i.e. tighten pads, install new screws, straighten metal frame, all at no charge. Tore my left lens, panicked as I can't watch a fast moving soccer game with only one eye. A Saturday is a conundrum in the shopping for eye care when most establishments close at noon. Had my doctor fax these folks my prescription in hopes of snagging 1 free lens. By law the trial lens must be given to the customer at no cost. Their game was for me to spend $75 for a box of lenses or no help would they extend. Not. That dog won't hunt. My review ought to be on the site of pissed consumer. read more

Recently went in to get a 260$ pair Oakley glasses and the person that actually helped me was really great it's the service afterwards that was horrible. My glasses aren't sitting right and I don't appreciate the fact that my glasses or not brand new they were the demos on the floor. I called in because they just looked dirty and they treated me as I am I didn't spend any money at the store. They claim the Oakleys are on backorder. They do have a 90 day satisfaction guarantee and I'm in week 3 and very unsatisfied. I would not recommend this particular location: to get your lens crafters glasses. For years, my dad has referred to this place as Lens Crappers. After my last visit, I now understand as this was my worst experience ever buying prescription glasses. Pros: - They have more styles of eye glasses to choose from than the an eye doctor's office, including a robust designer selection - Most glasses ready in about an hour or at least same-day service. - They accept my vision insurance, so I only have to pay for what the insurance covers and they bill my insurance. Cons: - Poor Quality Control - they do not verify a prescription with the customer information when faxed to them. I had provided the strength to them verbally multiple times and even told them it was exactly the same as the last time I ordered from them, which was in their record. This led to them filling the wrong prescription. - Their phone lines are incessantly busy, making it hard to get through. - Some of the people answering the phone need phone "get a clue" and etiquette training. - Sales people do not understand or explain costs correctly. I was offered an accidental damage policy on the glasses for $25. Later, I was told it was $35 for a 1-year policy to co-pay $25 on repair/replacement. Huh? - Their specials are skewed so you cannot get the best deal. (Example - they have clearance frames you can buy for $40 off frame and lenses. They also have an 1/2 price lens sale going on at the same time. You cannot get the clearance frames for 40% off and the lenses for 50% off. You can either pay the marked price on the frames and get lenses half off or get 40% off entire clearance frames and lenses.) - Sale prices to not extend to glasses covered by insurance. It is full price all the way. Unacceptable: - Total lack of customer service. - Staff attitude becomes defensive if there is a problem with the order. They make excuses rather than apologize and act like they are doing you a favor to correct it. - The manager of the store did not step in until late in the process as she was "busy" taking a test on the computer 10 feet away from where this was occurring. Once she did - instead of being gracious, she simply went into a diatribe about how mistakes happen, nobody is perfect, yada, yada, yada. Mistakes do happen, and nobody is perfect. It is how they manage these that separate service from catastrophe. They had the potential to make it right and do it with some semblance of customer-driven attitude. They did correct the mistake, but not without recalcitrance. They have a "Service Difference" statement on their website that has written in it, "We'll do whatever it takes to make sure you love everything about your LensCrafters experience from start to finish." I did not love anything about my experience. read more

I had such a great experience today at LensCrafters. I came in all overwhelmed because prior to finding this place, I had to deal with an unpleasant experience elsewhere, trying to expedite getting new glasses for my little son. I walked in today just wanting someone to care and want to help my situation. When I arrived, I was greeted by Javier and he helped me get the ball rolling. Amy H. took over the process as Javier was helping another client. I could explain in detail but I want to get straight to the point to explain how Amy made my experience so wonderful and how grateful that I am. She sensed the overwhelmed mama in me and was just so caring and made me feel like everything was going to work out just fine, and it did. Literal angel. I am very thankful that I was directed to go there after a bad experience somewhere else. It was my saving grace. I will never forget today. I bought two glasses worth $1000. I had to replace my rimless oakley's to another frame and I had a couple of questions. The staff are incredibly arrogant and knew nothing. I just asked " How much time will they take to replace a cracked lens in my rimless glasses?" and there is one girl, Courtney, who doesn't listen to what you say. All she says is " I am sorry. What??!!" in a squeaky voice. And there is another lady, Kelsea who is almost as terrible as this one. I don't even know why such people are still hired. To get my answer, I had to explain each of them about 25 minutes after which they remained clueless and brought their manager to whom I had to explain another 20 minutes. Thankfully manager is not as dumb as these two ladies. Courtney especially has no clue what she is doing, has a attention span of a 1 yr old and sits infront of the computer and stares. You would imagine that she would be working on your problem and I thought the same too. After 25 mintues of her staring into computer and checking out other customers, I asked her, " Are you done with my exchange? Can I come in an hour an pick up my glasses? " and she was like " Oh! No. I thought you were just sitting. Let me try to do that." So basically for flat 25 mintues she did not care why a customer was sitting at her desk. People if your time is valuable, please do not go to this store. The stores at the Arboretum and Highland mall are tiny abd have less choice but they are extremely friendly and customer oriented. If they can't do something you wanted, they will let you know that. But please if you find these ladies in the store, RUN. RUN FAR, RUN FAST. I am not going back here. Prices are absolute insanity. I bought a pair of glasses and after I got he I wondered if I got a good price. I was shocked when I saw that apples to apples before insurance the same pair of glasses were $300 more at LensCrafters!!! I came back in and asked if they price match. The gentleman at the counter told me they don't price match because the way they make their lenses is special. Unless these lenses are made of diamond they are not worth a $300 difference. Luckily they do returns. If you shop here and don't check prices at other places you are a sucker. read more

Awful experience! My order was taken by manager, Marcella, and it was not correct. my prescription called for bifocals and she did not include that. She was not there when I picked up the glasses and I left a message for her to call me back. When she did call, she refused to accept responsibility and took a defensive attitude..very poor customer service. When I asked to speak to her manager, she was resistant and took a message to have the manager call me... which never happened. I will definitely not go back. either Marcella is new to the industry and/or has a language problem., The poor communication between us left me on Saturday, and as it turned out I had reason to feel that way. She was unable to answer my questions and simply said something couldn't be done that I knew could, from previous experience. When she asked A coworker, it turned out they did have the service I was requesting., I am familiar with several eyeglass establishments and have found that better service and prices can be had elsewhere, but I just happened to be at the mall and saw some glasses I liked, which is how I ended up there... The thread on my semi rimless Tiffany sunglasses had snapped. SunglassHut was unable to repair, but LensCrafters was totally able to! The service was great and the fix was really fast. Afterwards, they readjusted the glasses so they fit as good as new. LensCrafters didn't charge anything for this amazing service--they just asked for a donation to a charity that provides children with glasses. I'm so grateful! read more

I bought a pair of prescription eyeglasses at LensCrafters at Barton Creek Mall recently. It was the first time I got glasses at a LensCrafter store. The service was amazing all around. Robin and her staff helped me select and try on as many frames as I wanted to. She took pictures with me wearing the frames so that I could compare and select the ones I truly wanted. They helped me choose the perfect frame - one that I probably would not have even tried on, and yet it turned out to be the perfect frame for me. Even though it was during the Christmas holidays, I not only got great service, but the eyeglasses arrived sooner than I had expected. I received two phone calls notifying me that my eyeglasses were ready. When I came it, they fitted them until they were just right, explained how to take care of them, and off I went in my new, snazzy, fashionable eyeglasses! I have had many pairs of eyeglasses over the years and this is the first pair that I can truly say I actually LOVE wearing because they are so perfect for me. And I love the anti-glare, polarizing, transition lens. read more
