I was well overdue for an eye exam and ended up going because of accidentally stepping on my glasses and breaking them in half and not being able to see!!! The doctor I met with was very patient with me as I decided between "number 1 or number2" as better for my eyesight. It's so hard to tell sometimes. She did try and put me in two different contacts to try out with my new found bifocal issue. That didn't work so I opted for regular glasses at the moment to wear and then take off when I need to read up close. They were following covid safety. When you tried on glasses they put them in a tray to be disinfected when done. Overall would return. Glasses were kinda pricey but I was in a pickle and didn't shop around. read more

DON'T BUY GLASSES HERE!!! I purchased a pair of glasses here and right after the 30 day mark, I noticed several marks on both lenses that I believe to be crazing, likely due to poor quality or craftsmanship. These marks cause significant glare when light hits them, making the glasses uncomfortable and difficult to use. The crazing is continuing to grow across the lenses. I have been wearing glasses for over 15 years and have never encountered anything like this before. When I came into the store, before I even got a chance to explain the problem, I was told that nothing could be done because I was slightly beyond the 30-day window (we're talking 3-4 days max). While I understand the policy, I was only a few days past it, and I would have come in sooner had I noticed the issue. I was hoping for at least some understanding, given that this appears to be a quality problem with the lenses, not something caused by accidental damage. An employee but the name Rachel looked at the lenses but claimed she couldn't see the marks, despite my best efforts to show them. The lighting in the store was poor, which made it more difficult to see them, but I could still clearly spot the marks. I attempted to show her the marks multiple times, even circling them on the lens but she continued to claim she couldn't see them. This situation was incredibly frustrating, to say the least, especially since I paid for the "premium" lenses. After leaving the store, I was able to capture a photo of the damage in better lighting. I was also informed that I needed to have purchased accidental damage coverage for any repairs to be made. However, this isn't a case of accidental damage--it's a quality issue, and I believe LensCrafters should stand behind the products they sell, especially when they show signs of damage so quickly. I paid a significant amount of money for these glasses, expecting them to last for at least a few years. Instead, they started deteriorating within a month and now I will have to guy new lenses somewhere else. This is absolutely unacceptable, do yourself a favor and go buy your glasses somewhere else. read more

I had my exam and bought my glasses here. First the eye exam was amazing. They were able to get me in and took such great care of me. I loved it . I had a great experience with the first woman helping me . She took her time and was very patient with me as I selected my glasses. She showed me frames in my price range and was very helpful. Once I had selected my frames she sent me to the associate in charge of fitting them and placing my order. She was condescending and very short like I was annoying her by being there. Sighed and made faces when I asked her to compare features and prices. Kept pushing for upgrades and higher priced add ons. I will be back because I love the speedy service and product. Worst experience ever. Had an appt at 12pm ... filled out all of the paper work and started looking at glasses. Around 1240 I walk back to the front desk to check on my appointment as it was for 12pm and it was almost 1pm. The receptionist says "oh, well the doctors wife just called and said he's going to be late so he won't be here for another hour at least." Are you kidding me?! I've worked in the medical field for many years and I get that things happen....but when the doctor was not there by 1215pm I would have let the patient know! She wasn't even going to tell me anything if I wouldn't have asked myself about the time! So, my appointment was canceled and now I had to schedule with a different company for the following day! If I could leave no stars, I would. I've worn glasses for close to 30 years and contacts for 20 and I've never had such a terrible experience. Went twice, waited almost an hour to be seen the first time and then the doctor - who has the worst bedside manner ever - dilated my eyes before he had me try my contacts. Needless to say, I couldn't tell whether they were correct or not. No one at the office seemed concerned with the fact that I couldn't verify if my prescription was fine and never even mentioned a follow up before I left. The front end staff is also very either incompetent or overworked - not sure. I ended up having to go back because my prescription was - you guessed it - incorrect. Waited just as long the second time - would like to note that both times there was only one person ahead of me, but they schedule exams in 20 minute increments when their exams take close to an hour. The doctor the second time was much nicer, however they didn't have both my prescriptions in stock (my eyes are not the same unfortunately) and again I left with one contact that I hadn't tried and with no hint of a follow up. I'm still having trouble seeing (big surprise!) so I tried to call today to schedule another follw up. The girl who answered said she was with another client and would call me "in a few minutes." This was around 1:30pm. By 4:15, I still hadn't heard back, so I called back again. No apologies or anything, and also no appointments available for over two weeks! Now I have to go to another optometrist and pay out of pocket to be able to see. This place is a joke, as well as overpriced and full of incompetence. Service was superb and timely! I became a new patient of Dr. Driscoll and she has been nothing short of providing excellent customer service. She was very informative and kept you educated on why and what she was doing for each test! The service provided by the LensCrafter's staff was excellent and timely as well! They didn't pressure you into buying any particular glass and kept a great eye on you in case you needed any further assistance. Parking is plenty and area was neatly kept clean and tidy. Great experience overall! I had an in-depth eye exam first and found out things my primary never told me! During the frame selection, the secret weapon at the Altamonte Springs location is Susan! She is amazing! I will come back because of her and how awesome she made my experience! I was hesitant to step out of my comfort zone with glasses. This whole experience was annoying. After multiple eye exams, rechecks, and returned eyewear, I'm done with Lenscrafters entirely. Doctor misdiagnosed my prescription originally, and my glasses were made too strongly. I had horrible headaches, so I went in for a recheck. A different doctor adjusted the prescription. Still had the problem. Further, the optic center of that pair of lenses was off (I was told) even after their extensive "top of the line" measuring processes. Oh, and I ordered a special trial pair of contacts for my severe astigmatism which I waited weeks for (called many times to check to see whether they came in) and Lenscrafters never called me back on it. Even went in, in person. They just kept telling me the lenses never came in- SO REORDER THEM! I eventually just gave up. Would rather rub salt on an open wound than deal more with them. Meanwhile, the retail department was exceptionally aggressive in trying to sell frames to me based on an incorrect prescription. Gave me the usual speech of how I needed multiple pairs, and should take advantage of their "sale." Kept me there way longer than was necessary. Repeatedly told me how my current glasses were "out of date, unprofessional, needed an update, not age-appropriate, unbecoming, not flattering to my face shape, etc." apparently as a form of sales technique. I'm not exaggerating. Just came off as extremely rude and tone deaf. There is no such thing as "just browsing" at LensCrafters- even if you tell them that and they initially leave you alone, they will inevitably either bring you or check in on you numerous times. The last I'll say is that Lenscrafters is also vastly overpriced as compared to Frames Direct, Eyecare Express, For Eyes, and many of their competitors (coming from someone who has worn glasses for over 20 years.) The "sales" and "discounts" SOUND good, but merely bring the actual cost down to what the glasses frames or lens packages sell for normally at other locations. Ridiculous marketing technique, annoying sales people, and clear incompetence on some end, either the doctors or the actual individuals who craft the lenses. At the end of the day, I just returned the glasses and took my business elsewhere. Maybe in 5 years or so, I'll hear about those contacts. read more

My first eye exam ever and Dr. Driscoll put me at ease. I was tested thoroughly and given a diagnosis of just needing cheaters. I went in the first place to purchase colored contact lenses for a costume and figured I might as well go ahead and have my eyes checked since I'd never done it before. Glad I made that decision. I've found a doctor I will go to on an annual basis now to have my eyes checked. The attention that was given to me teaching me to clean, apply and remove my contacts when they came in was top notch. read more

I waited until the last minute to order new contacts from 1-800-contacts, and had to scramble to find a doctor who could write me an updated prescription quickly! Made an appointment online for the following day and was so impressed! They definitely beat all the service Ive had at Florida eye clinic. I will definitely come back here for future eye exams.
