Decent deli that gives you plenty of bang for your buck. Only issues I've come across is that when you ask for butter or cream cheese on both sides of a bagel they are very stingy. Also I don't know and this has happened twice to me but when I've asked for a sandwich with muenster cheese, I've been given a sandwich with mustard. I don't frequent often, only when I'm working in the area, but I'm hoping it's maybe a pronunciation issue on my end of maybe next time I'll just emphasis that it's muenster cheese and not mustard. read more

I've been coming to Lenny's since I was little. Lenny's is a rye brook staple and hands down has the best bagels. Extremely fresh and warm. The bad boy is a classic and everyone should try it once. It's such a shame- the service here is atrocious. The employees work at an extremely slow pace; long lines that are not even worth waiting for. You have to repeat your order to them multiple of times and even then to get it right. They collect your money with the same gloves as they are making the bagels- HOW DISGUSTING!!!! The bagels aren't consistent and the prices are insane. It would be cheaper to get a bagel of cream cheese with the amount they pound on then getting a 1/2 of their house made cream cheese. I went in there to get a bagel with egg and cheese. I was waiting on the side for my order when mouse comes out from behind the counter. A few people saw it and tried to tell the people behind the counter. They didn't do anything. Rolled in for a late breakfast and immediately was met by the lengthy line which led up to the entrance. Now usually people interpret this as slow service but for others it means the product is just that good... I'm glad to report Lenny's falls in the latter category. I ordered the Steak, Muenster, and Hash Brown on a plain bagel with two eggs; this thing was amazing! It weighed a ton and the bagel had just enough chewiness to complement the rest of the ingredients. The hash brown was a nice touch, something I remember seeing back in WV a lot with biscuit sandwiches. The wait time wasn't too bad, but expect to wait a bit to first reach the order taker and then a little bit longer as the food is prepped. Seating is about 8 tables inside and outdoor seating. Most people were taking food to go, some just getting bags of bagels and others opting for the delicious concoctions they offer. Really great spot that's tucked away, worth the trip! read more

Lenny's makes all-around great bagels with some unique combos you haven't seen anywhere else.. my favorites right now are the oat-everything (an oat bagel covered with 'everything') and the bad boy (a nice yellow egg bagel with poppy, onion, garlic). one thing i like about Lenny's is when you get a bagel with something on it, it is hard to tell which is the top and bottom - its covered all over, not just a little sesame seeds sprinkled on top or some onion, its covered nice and you get the flavor on both sides! they make em fresh here, not trucked in. you can see them coming out of the dough machine in little rolled rings and all the baking and boiling going on in the back. i have had sandwiches and soup here and they are also very good - but the bagels are some of the best i have come across in westchester county. I visited Lenny's a few days ago and got a #9 turkey bacon, egg, gouda cheese on a poppy seed bagel. It was OK, however not amazing in flavor. The bagel did not taste great and lacked severely in poppy seeds. There was also not much gouda cheese - I had to look thoroughly to confirm there was some. Iced coffee was good, but was a majority of ice. I gave Lenny's a second chance today by ordering the "my ex" bagel toasted (jalapeño and cheddar) with egg, pepper jack, turkey bacon and avocado. It was better in flavor, but I have not been sold on the overall experience. Bagel seemed off as well.. Not sure what the deal was, seemed like it may not have been fresh.. However Whenever I have visited they are always making fresh bagels.. Most recent experience gas improved my rating from 2/5 to 3/5. Food is edible, but not great. read more

Hair baked right in!!! Co- worker bought a bagel with cream cheese and found a hair baked into the crust. To make matters worse when she drove back to return the bagel - one of the employees began to question her and asked 'well when did you buy it etc.' as if to insinuate she was responsible. We tried Lenny's on the recommendation of a random women we met in town. We decided to try it and as we were eating, she showed up! That proves it's a good place to me! Lenny's is a typical NY bagel place. Small, huge line, lots of options (different spreads, salads, every type of fish imaginable, bagels, cream cheeses, bagel sandwiches, etc.) and fast workers. They have a huge selection of bagels, bialys, etc. - including some fun flavors (with cute, unique names). I opted for a toasted everything bagel with low-fat cream cheese. Turns out, their low-fat is Tofutti!! Interesting. I went for the Tofutti Jalapeno. Had a nice kick and I did not notice that it was low-fat (slight difference in consistency, but not that noticeable). Like most bagel places, they put a LOT of cream cheese on and since it was put on when the bagel was warm, it was oozing out. But that's what makes it good, right?! My husband went for an everything with regular cream cheese and a chocolate-chip muffin (men!). With 2 OJs, it came out to $10! Can't beat that. read more

So I run into Lenny bagels grab food this morning ordered bacon &egg and sandwiches the customer service is not good at all seems like everyone that work there have attitudes even the owner I was supposed get coffee or tea with the sandwiches ask if I can get a Cappuccino instead of three coffees the lady at Register said i can't do it so I the owner ask him if he can first he said no I said really then with a attitude he said sure the Cappuccino was not good at all . Called in a order this morning, one bagel toasted with butter. When I arrived I walked up to the register and waited for someone to assist me. Several people walked right passed me including a man who appeared to be the owner or manager. He walked passed me once towards the front in order to assist a vendor who was looking to get paid. Walked passed me again towards the back. At this point I asked someone who was handling the online deliveries for my order to which I was told she would find who has my order. As the manager walked passed her she said something to him but instead of addressing me standing at the register he kept walking passed back up to the vendor waiting for his check. At this point as he was walking passed me for a third time I asked him "Excuse me I called in an order for a bagel toasted with butter." His response was "Ok, Wait!" and kept walking passed me for a fourth time. I decided that he could wait for me to return which wont likely happen. read more

I love this place. Always have, always will. Memories of coming here with my parents for a bagel sandwich lunch, and now with my own family when visiting. I now live in Pennsylvania. Recently, I brought my new husband with me to Lenny's. He bit into his first ever NY bagel and said "OMG, this is the best bagel I've ever tasted." Well, yah! We will *always* come back to to Lenny's. Usually stopping in during our visit but specially on our way out for a couple dozen bagels to bring back to PA with us to freeze and enjoy until our next visit back to NY. Yummy bagels (that they are willing to scoop the insides out of if you're watching your dancer's figure), decent eggalicious breakfasts with vegetarian options, and good sides like the slaw, potato salad, and tuna. The bagels here are the best I've had in the area outside of the city. Nothing compares to Manhattan bagels. Lenny's are chewy and good, though some of the toppings DO leave a lot to be desired. I have been disappointed with the everything bagel. Mornings and lunch time get crazy crowded and the line can go out the door. Try to get here early if you're hungry. The staff don't chit-chat; they're fast and efficient, which is something I prefer over a bunch of guys BSing and making the long line even longer. Irritated with this place. I ordered four bagels this morning, VERY simple orders. A plain bagel with butter, two my ex with veggie cream cheese and a French toast bagel with butter. Nothing crazy right? Every single bagel order was WRONG and this is NOT the first time. If I am paying $20 for four bagels I expect them to be correct. The person who took my order even wrote it down!! How do you get the order wrong? The staff doesn't care nor does the owner who has kicked elderly customers out of his shop before. The staff has consistently messed up my order for the last two years and I am quite frustrated. Again, if I am going to spend $20 on a few bagels, I want my order to be right. True story happy to share more with anyone at anytime: Saturday January 4th at 3pm I stop at Lenny's and get a single half-quart of cranberry tuna salad. Immediately drive home (7 mins to Purchase) and put in the fridge. At 6pm I have 3-4 mouthfuls to hold me over until dinner. I immediately lose all appetite, by 8pm I start feeling sick, by 10pm I'm having projectile vomit and diarrhea and by 1AM I'm in Greenwich hospital. BOTH my stool and the tuna salad tests positive for norovirus..... this has been reported to the health department... no more lennys for me... take your own risks. read more

There are few bagel shops that truly stand out in my mind but this has got to be the one. They always have a line out the door but it never worries me because they always have the staff to handle it. The line moves fast and I nor anyone else complains. The food is always cooked well and they have many more options than just bagels. They even have tofutti cream cheese as an option for your bagel. I have been coming to Lenny's since 1998. The quality hasn't dropped one bit all these years. Big reason is Lenny still there every day. I gave it 4 stars because line can get really long and they only have one cash register. They should find a way to reconfigure the whole store to make service faster.
