My friend and I stopped in quickly on our way out of town and were both impressed. As a former New Yorker, she has been raving about these bagels since I met her, and this weekend I finally got to experience them myself. We both ordered toasted egg and cheese bagels with SPK (mine gluten free), plus iced coffees, and everything was delicious. Great prices, friendly staff, a short wait and full bellies. Thank you! read more

Best bagels in Northern Westchester. The judge of good bagels is always - Can they make a great Everything Bagel? The answer is yes - plenty of seeds, nice brown color and crunchy with a soft dough middle. Ask for it toasted with lots of fresh butter and it's heaven - with coffee brought to your table -wonderful. But, a little expensive at $6.14 with tax with small coffee. read more

This was my first time going to this location for bagels with my boyfriend. The food is actually really good! They have such unique items, including a black-and-white muffin instead of a cookie. The bagels tasted really good and we had two different types of cream cheese and both were absolutely amazing. The only thing about this place that we personally did not like was the service. My boyfriend wanted to buy chips and the servers just stood there. The place to sit and eat is nice and the coffee bar they have is cute. It's not a bad place and we will come back I just hope the service will be better. read more

I got some really good bagels here. They are nice and plump and completely covered in everything seasoning. Black-and-white cupcake was also quite good, and moist in the middle. Apple turnover was good but could've been better. It needed to be crunchier. All in all it was delicious. read more

I grew up in this area so have been here many times over many years. Bagels were never really a novel thing to me until I moved out of NY. You know what they say, you don't know what you got 'till it's gone. I moved back here but now that I'm older and had the age-related metabolism decline, bagels aren't a stable in my diet. I was at a dr's appointment down the street when GF reported her hunger to me and lack of food options at home so I figured it would be a good time to treat ourselves to an afternoon bagel snack. I made it in about 45 min before closing time. Someone was just wrapping up paying for their order when I got in line behind them. After they finished up and left, I stood there for a few more minutes while the cashier was trying to figure something out on the cash register screen but didn't acknowledge me. It was awkward. I continued to stand there for a while until she looked up at me and I just ordered what I wanted, an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. At that point, someone else came in who was picking up an order. She asked me to step aside to check this woman out. After checking her out, the other employee confirmed my order and took care of it. This other employee was very nice and friendly but overall, the service left something to be desired. It was nothing egregious by any means, but could have been better. The bagel was pretty good. The veggie cream cheese had large chunks of scallions and had a crunchiness that I didn't enjoy but got the job done. I might seek out another place next time but wouldn't completely write this place off. read more

First visit after passing many times. Super super slow line. Staff went off on customer in front of us!!! They did nothing wrong only hesitant on drink choice. Bagels that were toasted were all coming out on the much darker side with side of bagel almost black! Each worker did their own order. Waited in line for 22 mins to get one buttered bagel, one cream cheese bagel and a coffee. Never again even if I'm starving! Each employee took their sweet time making each order but the. Expected a tip when you checked out. read more

The service is friendly, can be a little slow but well worth wait! Their vegetable cream cheese is the best I've seen ever had and when matched with your favorite variety of bagel (my favorite is the sesame) the combination can't be beat !! Great hazelnut coffee too! read more

This is my to go place, but unfortunately today I was extremely disappointed due to the fact there's multiple flies around the Bagles. This is not sanitary and the health department should come in and look at this place. I no longer will be coming here. There's 1 million bagel shops in the area. The owner does not care about staff quality or the customer's concerns. read more

First time in, picking up some bagelwiches. Located on the west side of 117 in a small, three store strip, one could easily drive past. My advice is to go slow and don't miss this bagel treat! The store is clean and neat, and masks and social distancing is on full display :) Plenty of helpful staff. Baking on premises. No crappy Dunkin bagels here! The bagels, while running the usual gamut, look a bit different in a good way. For example, the multi-grain bagel one usually sees actually includes seeds and grains! The oat bran bagel is indeed a rare bird. My sandwich was prepared exactly as asked for - dough out, toasted, single egg, ham and pepper. The bagel was absolutely delicious! They have everything for your breakfast and lunch needs, and a few tables in case you wish to linger with the morning paper. Lots of coffee choices too! Wish it were closer to home! read more

This place has always been expensive, but pricing is now out of control for an average tasting bagel.

I'm shocked to see so many poor reviews! I hope my review brings up that 3-star average a bit, Mt. Kisco bagel deserves it! I will refute earlier claims and say these bagels are fairly priced (IMO). For such a thick bagel, I'd say the dough sells for the right amount of dough (heh). You get a breakfast sandwich here for somewhere around $5/$6 -- seems consistent with like a Starbucks sandwich or something, and those are nowhere near as hearty or tasty. I got a sausage, egg, cheese, and hashbrown on a plain bagel and it was otherworldly. The bagels definitely have a nice crisp on the outside and a dreamy soft-inside that this out-of-State-er had not experienced before. I have no complaints about the service, although I did come well past rush hour so I saw them without any pressure applied. Some nice lady did lead me to the bathroom which was appreciated. I had a toasted everything bage, with lox and scallion cream cheese, a large coffee, and an orange juice. The bagel was fresh, perfectmy toasted, with a ton of lox and the perfect amount of scallio cream chees, The coffee was freshly brewed and piping ho. The orange juice was Tropicana, ice cold, just the way I like it. The staff was courteous, and efficien. The store, spaciou, and spotlessly clea. read more

You can't find a more Consistent (and 'Kettled!'!) NYC style bagel in the area. Always same day fresh. I'm now spoiled- a bagel anywhere else is just a roll to me! Also covers all the things you expect to find in a deli & griddle running for hot sandwiches on your bagel, roll, etc. Kept open as much as possible when 'the world' shut down; had to do take-away only. Now you can sit inside again when time allows! read more

The people who work here are hard working, kind, and attentive. This spot can be super busy in the mornings on weekdays so plan ahead as there could be a small wait. Have given up on this mediocre bagel place due to the rudeness of the staff. My husband went in Saturday morning and was told that there were only plain bagels ready and the rest wouldn't be ready for another hour at 8am and then brushed him off to help another customer. We have been loyal customers but every time we go we are treated with more and more attitude. Not worth it for subpar bagels, we are done with this place. read more

Best bagels in Mount Kisco. They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Always clearly fresh and soooo many different flavors. I always get the everything bagel but I'm tempted to try all of the others. We got two bagels with garlic & herb cream cheese and bacon and two large iced coffees for $23 which I think is pretty standard these days. There is always a line and the staff handles orders pretty quickly. They are very friendly and the owner usually walks around to check on customers / catch up with regulars. read more

As close to a NYC bagel as you're going to get. Other local places don't measure up. In a recent trip to another Mt Kisco bagel emporium we brought home a pumpernickel bagel that might as well have been from Einstein. We've tried all the rest and are sticking with the best. read more

Overall the bagels were really good, just some service issues. My husband ordered a BEC and received an everything with plain cream cheese. Which would have been OK bc he likes everything & plain cream cheese but we didn't realize until we got home & a BEC is obviously more expensive so that is just annoying knowing we overpaid for something we didn't order in the first place. Second issue is that I got a bagel with bacon and it had 1.5 slices of the thinnest bacon ever on it. Please see the picture I'm not exaggerating. Actual bagels were good though. read more

Slow, skimpy, dirty. I felt like I spent way too long in this place to get a breakfast sandwich. To say the service is slow is an understatement. There are also a decent amount of flies buzzing around, living in the cookie case. Pretty disgusting and unappetizing. When I finally got my sandwich, I was sad to see only 1 egg on it. It might be the skimpiest breakfast sandwich I've been served. The bagel was alright, which is why my true rating is a 1.5 instead of 1. I bumped them up to a 2 star on this review to be nice but I absolutely would never come back. read more

bagel place is fine. yelp kinda blows. what's the point of a Call button that does nothing?

Bagels are good....staff is slow and inconsistent. Two of the long-time employee ladies there are constantly bickering with each other. Depending on who you get, will determine if you get a decent breakfast sandwich or a ridiculously skimpy one. Same with the sandwiches and wraps. Today we got an egg "stain" on a roll with 1 piece of bacon on it....1 tiny egg, no cheese - even though we ordered a BEC on a roll. The roll was rubbery. It is unbelievable how inconsistent they are. They will often ignore you for several minutes when you arrive - even if no other customers are in there. They are very slow. The owner is a nice man - probably stuck with bad staff who are there too long and it shows. Try A&S Marketplace down the block for breakfast sandwiches, wedges, etc. For the same price you get nearly double the size - essentially 2 meals in one. . Will post comparison photos next time. read more

While the bagel was good the issue is CUSTOMER SERVICE! Imagine this place being recommended because the bagels are so good etc you go in and the woman with the blonde hair is so rude! My God she's yelling next while in standing in front of her she has such a nasty attitude it's 8:30 on a Sunday morning ma'am. The bagel was bathed in cream cheese and we went for a bacon egg and cheese and she's yelled loud enough the whole mount kisco can hear her say the grill isn't open.... Would I go back maybe the bagels are fresh but if she's there I won't dare step foot there. read more

The food is always phenomenal and the service is always great but in 2023 we shouldn't have to be paying cash only unless over $10. Time and time again I'm duped out of spending extra money just to be able to buy a bagel. I wish they would change the rules and I'd have zero issues ever with the place. read more

Seriously the best bagels outside of the city. Lived in Astoria for 7 years and was never hard-pressed to find a solid whole wheat everything bagel. I've tried a few places in Mount Kisco, and the only one that holds up against my standards is Mount Kisco Bagel. Bonus points for the fact that they don't mock me for my order (whole wheat everything bagel, toasted and scooped out, with egg whites and pepper jack). Love the older people who hang out there - very cute couples in their 70s or so. Part of their morning routine. read more

Was recommended to pickup bagels to bring back to Boston by my uncle and aunt who live in the area. After a short, GPS-lead drive, we found the place, parked right in front, and proceeded to waltz right in, with the attention of getting two orders of a half a dozen bagels along with cookies for the road trip back. While the cookies were average, the bagels themselves were both big and tasty. Available in many flavors as well which is always nice. Unlike other reviewers, I found that they had no shortage of bagels available. From sesame to egg, from poppy to onion. They had a ton of them! Service was a bit slow but the place is affordable and I had a good experience there. read more

Excellent bagels, I'd say the best you'll find in the area. As a manhattanite, I am picky about my bagels. I live near one if the best bagel shops in the city... When I visit family, this is their go to bagel shop and they really make a darn decent bagel. Crispy on the outside and nice and chewy and doughy on the inside (perhaps a bit too doughy but I remedy that by scooping them ;-)).. The dough itself is flavorful. I really like these bagels. In fact I drive 4+ miles to Mt. Kisko when there is a bagel place just over a mile away in Katonah.. Awesome wholewheat everything bagel, great selection of yummy spreads (cream cheeses, whitefish, lox) and salads. The vegetable tuna and chicken salad are fantastic.. also a fan of the shrimp salad. Service is ok, the place is very busy and they get the job done. Closest to a city bagel I've had in the area. ;-) Good eats. read more

The past two times i bought bagels at MKB, they were under baked. Quality is usually pretty good. One bone to pick. They sold me Nova that they said was hand sliced, and it wasn't. Good bagels, efficient service. However the "hand sliced" nova i bought last week ($46.00 a lb) was NOT hand sliced. Each piece was a perfect rectangle with 90 degree edges-- exactly the same size and thickness as the other, which leads me to believe that not only was it not even sliced on a slicer (bad enough) but even taken out of a pre pack. Back to Mt. Kisco Smokehouse for fish I guess, even if the service there is brusqe, to put it mildly. read more
