I've gotten it a few times and always a good meal. Fries are excellent as well. However, I said earlier, "When I have gotten the food..." This doesn't always happen. I've ordered from them about 7 times and have only actually gotten the food 4 times. Twice, I ordered on Yelp for delivery. In one case they just cancelled the order and in another case, I got a notification that the food was delivered but never got it. Grub Hub called them and said it was an error. This was about 2 hours after I ordered. Finally, I figured I'd go pick it up. Ordered it on Yelp. Went to the restaurant after about an hour and they said, "Someone already picked up your order." They did offer to make it for me there, but I couldn't wait around. The place itself is pretty sparse but clean. I think the food is a 4 but the overall experience from a service standpoint is a 2. Average it out to a 3.

It was two slices of thin, cut breast over brown and coated with an immense amount of breading that slid right off the chicken. They should've just called it a breading on a bun sandwich. I understand restaurants wanting to save money during these trying times but this was unacceptable. They could have done better by using three chicken tenders and would've had substantially more protein in the sandwich and it would've been the same food cost. The 2, thin sliced chicken breasts on the sandwich were overcooked. Chicken Coop attempted to make the Nashville sandwich look more substantial by using a huge bun. please put away the cleaning, rag and spray cleaner in the cabinet in the bathroom instead of leaving it out. It doesn't make a nice impression. Trash cans throughout the restaurant needed emptying, which would've been a good time because they were not busy.

Had me bury myself in winter attire and trek half an hour or so to see what was what. Oh, don't you worry lads and ladettes. LB found out what is what. Lace up your sneaks and get ready to run with me. I pulled up in the whip, in need of a wash, some wiper fluid, an oil change and an up to date registration. If you ask a mechanic they'd probably say I needed a little more than that - But, they'd probably be lying. Upchargers. Liars. Criminals. Just like the weathermen. Anyways... I park my Fordrari in a decently full parking lot right around restaurant opening. Good sign. If you asked me, but what do I know? Small lot, but relatively decent sized shop - At this particular time they still were attached to Bono Bono (which ofc I finished the meal off with but that's a story for another time... if you're lucky.) I stepped in, a two step with a half nae nae, to the interior in my high top Uggs screamin' Shady til' I die. But my screams stopped upon the sights and sounds of this sliceria. Wowza, McPowza. Geezle Beezle. Good heavens to Betsy. Do these slices look good or what. Straight up on surface play this is banging with the baddest boys in the pizza game. But am I a surface level guy? Maybe... maybe I am. But that's for me and the mirror to work out. Is love blind? I don't know. But without lust - Love is rarely found and even more seldom can love be held for a long period of time without said lust. Anyways... I lusted for this pizza upon first sight. And so will you, for you are as weak as I... maybe even weaker (probably) ((more than likely)) (((you are weaker))). Finally. Brass tax season. Let's get down to it. One of THE BEST GRANDMA I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. Honestly who am I kidding? The best grandma I've had. You could tell the dough quality upon sniff, and first taste backed it up. Superb. Just terrific. A must get. The chicken scarp was a real nice specialty pie. Legit taste, leaving you wanting even more. The vodka Sicilian was solid. The other slices were for my co-attendant who delivered distinguishing praise - And I ought believed him. Will be getting those next time as well. As we were munching down, an Angel sent from the heavens approached us. One of the owners came walking straight out from the oven with a "Thinny Thin" pie of which he was testing out new things with. "You want a slice?" He asked, in more of a proclamation than a question. I may have dropped a tear, and of course accepted a fourth slice because I'm that type of guy. The abs can continue to hibernate as they have been for my entire life. On receipt of said slice, a smile curled on my face as if I was preparing to jestermax but in reality I was just honored that I got framemogged by the jacked up owner. I ate the slice happily - and boy oh boy - that thinny thin is a thing of beauty. A scientific invention, researched and developed into near perfection. Thin, crispy, good sauce, topped off with some shred... well done lads. I could go on all day, and you'd probably love it. Bow down to LB. Top 2 pizzeria in all of Westchester. Johnny's is obviously the other. Trio Pizza is a 5 Star standout without question. That's what's what. Don't dare to question me when I provide an answer. Well worth the drive and I'll do it again - fared well, so not a farewell but a see you soon.

Found Common Grounds on Yelp and knew it was my kind of place! The shop is modern, clean, and bright. The staff was friendly and professional. They roast their own beans. It was literally the only place I could find on short notice with reservation slots available, which maybe should have been a sign (and certainly a reminder to me to be much more proactive about this sort of thing in the future). This was sort of a meet in the middle for us; she's in Redding, CT, and I'm in North Jersey. Common Grounds is located at the end of a strip mall, though arguably a higher-end one. The parking lot was VERY busy and while spots were relatively easy to find, I had to settle for one further away close to the bowling alley next door. All good though in that regard. The first hint that this was going to go downhill happened almost immediately. Despite having made the reservation for 11, our designated table wasn't available for seating because the prior party was "lingering." There wasn't a time limit on the dining parties so it seemed like Common Grounds just made assumptions on when people would leave, which is probably not an exact science on the best of days, and certainly not on a day where you might have a family reunion element. We were offered a large high-top table to sit at instead, which my mother isn't comfortable with, and after a few minutes of sitting there, were instructed to take a "normal" table by the window. I will give props for the hostess reading the room in that regard and doing what she could to give us an optimal seating situation - the wait and miscalculation wasn't her fault. She was also very nice to my mother, which for sure counts for something. It took probably 15 minutes for our waitress to come by and ask for drink/food orders, which isn't great. I'd decided on the Blueberry Lemon Ricotta Pancakes from the Specials menu, only to be told by the waitress that they were no longer available. I then had to quickly pivot to the French Toast from the regular menu, but lack of availability is something that should have been mentioned when we received the menus, not while we're ordering. And it wasn't even noon - a little concerning. I don't know if it was just a bad day behind the scenes, but it took over 45 minutes to get two pretty simple brunch entrees to us, and almost as much time to get our beverages. That would at least be understandable if the place was packed and everyone was busy, but that wasn't the case - a lot of tables emptied up within 20 minutes of our arrival, and in a pretty troubling optic, most of the front-end waitstaff was literally just standing around by the coffee station not doing anything. That's bad management, and could have helped alleviate whatever was happening in the kitchen. You have five minutes to kill? Okay, stop by your tables and apologize for the delay. Help bus and turn over the recently vacated tables. Maybe refill my water glass, which was empty for most of my meal. There's just no excuse for that. And it's a shame because my Cardamon Rose Latte was excellent, and the French Toast was very good as well. French Toast isn't one of my go-to's, but when I have it I prefer it to be softer and not as cumbersome, and this fit the bill. But because the wait time and overall service was mediocre at best, I didn't even want to go near a dessert menu or consider having a second latte - that probably would have tacked on another hour. So by virtue of not being attentive and efficient, Common Grounds left money on the table. A real shame; and frankly, surprising to me given that this has to be a very notable day on the calendar for brunch places. I'd ensure everything was well-oiled and ready to go, and it's clear it just wasn't. I overheard quite a few people outside singing the praises of this place, and I saw enough to probably understand why. But we weren't the beneficiary of most of those qualities.
