Really good bagels and also the egg salad was fab. I was impressed. Taking off a point because the dining room where I sat could have used a clean up. People, people, people - keep yer restaurants spotless... read more

JV Bagels should stand for "Just Vomit." These bagels taste like they've been sitting in witness protection since 1998. The coffee could strip paint off a car, and the "service" makes the DMV look like the Ritz-Carlton. They put so little cream cheese on my bagel I thought they were rationing it for the apocalypse. I've seen more spread on a Saltine cracker. And don't get me started on the vibe--walking in feels like stepping into a time capsule of sadness where dreams go to die and bagels go to get stale. If purgatory had catering, it would be JV Bagels. read more

I heard the bagels here were amazing but unfortunately I don't agree. In my opinion should have that chewy-ness with the crisp exterior - these bagels are very soft, more bread-like. The space is pretty large, plenty of seating. Service, however, is extremely slow. We ordered some bagel sandwiches and they had been ready for a long long time sitting in the window, being ignored and getting cold. They need to light a fire under the front counter staff - they were moving at half speed despite the place being really busy on a Sunday. There are too many great bagel places closer to me, won't be going back. read more

I'm from Long Island and these bagels are not great. On top of that you'll probably wait 15-30 minutes to get your order. If you want some decent bagels go to Bagels on Hudson in croton read more

Drove past this place 1000 times..always busy and I have heard great things so I treated myself to a Bacon egg and cheese on a bagel today. Delicious!!! The place is friendly and clean. I recommend it for a nice breakfast or treat with a great coffee. Enjoy read more

The bagels are very good, the staff are a bit slow when I'm usually there at 615-635am. Some days there is staff of 3 and most of the time 2 or 3 are on a different planet. read more

Bagel was fine, actually, I'm glad I got one finally after I've been without for a loooooooong time. What I didn't like is the staff taking about me WHILE I AM STANDING 2 feet away from you. Do what everyone else in the service world does, wait until I leave. that's the hole yelp read more

My grilled turkey sandwich wasn't much to write home about, but they make coffee ice cubes for their iced coffee which is a 10/10 in my book. Service was fast and efficient at lunch time on a summer weekday. read more

Bagels are bagels right? Nothing special in my personal opinion, coming from NYC it's hard to impress me with bagels. They have a wide variety of coffee which is self serve which I liked. Beware it can get very busy and packed during early morning hours especially on the weekends. I will say I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and they loaded that thing up which was to my satisfaction. Staff could be a bit friendlier but during a wave of hungry guest I get it. read more

Of the four bagel destinations within reasonable driving distance, these folks take the cake. The store is spacious, bright and clean, with a wide open cooking, prep and bagel making operation. The bagels themselves are perfectly chewy, yet not too dense and are prepared the old fashioned way - boiled then baked. They have "flagels" - flat bagels in a set of flavors, bagel bites and even pre-packaged gluten free bagels. They also have fresh croissants- get 'em early before they are gone - and a host of other baked goods. They can put anything you can imagine on your choice of dough products - fresh cooked breakfast or lunch. My favorite is a bacon egg and cheese on a fresh croissant. Go - you'll see! read more

Two stars are for the bagels only. If these are the best bagels to be found there must be some pretty sad bagel shops. Bagels here are more like stale, chewy cakes than the wonderful chew a bagel should have. Bagels should be dense, these are not. Customer service however is terrific and everyone was bustling. Didn't try anything else but there was a lot more to choose from so I wouldn't discount it as a place to go, I just wouldn't order a bagel again read more

Two words come to mind . Chaos and disaster. The employees try real hard to take your order and get. It to you. Seems like there's no management here. Everyone running around takes two people to ring you up after ten minutes trying to figure out what you ordered. Shame on JV Bagel's ownership. Food is good but you better like it warm or cold. read more

Way better options than JV BAGELS.. I rather have grocery store bagel. Don't recommend.

So as I continue to frequent here, I just want to thank the owner for ALWAYS feeling privileged enough to park in front of the side door, which as you KNOW is not a parking space! Thanks for making it difficult for patrons to pull in or out of actual parking spaces! Each of the 3x's I visited this past week, your white Audi made it difficult to get in or out. My Father used to tell his employees, "Please park anywhere as to not make it difficult for guests to get in or out." He would park ridiculously far from his store just to give up that one space closer to the door! read more

Very clean store and delicious variety of food. The staff is friendly and considerate of allergies as well.

JV Hot Bagels is the better bagel place in the area They do a steady business, and they handle crowds well. The Italian coffee brand is the more flavorful coffee offered. Think it is Lavazza. Tip for Management: Train your staff not to handle money and food using the same glove hand. No one is in charge. read more

I came here to kill 30 minutes one rainy afternoon. Bagels smelled amazing, but we came for an afternoon snack. We got a Rice Krispie treat, a pistachio muffin, and a coffee. Coffee was fine. The other two items tasted terrible, even my 3 yr old wouldn't eat them. Also, no one was really there (it was rainy and mid afternoon, so not many people were out and about) and I still had to decide which of the dirty tables I should sit at. If it's so slow the staff should care enough to clean the tables for customers, but they didn't seem to care. We won't be returning. read more

Bagel and all the baked goods are always delicious but decided to get a fresh ice tea to save myself a trip to Starbucks. I paid over five dollars for an extra large size and I had to throw it away sadly. Tasted nothing like tea it had a very strong bitter coffee taste, like it was brewed in the same machine as coffee. Disappointed I wasted so much money . read more

The egg sandwiches? Amazing. Every time. Mostly. Everything else? Complete hit or miss. The prices? Change every time... also, they do not have turkey bacon which sucks because I do not eat pork, however JV Bagels in Jefferson Valley does but they are also inconsistent with their prices and the staff are very unorganized. read more

Jv Hot Bagels ll - Egg n cheese from JV HOT BAGELS 1 not 2 - Bagels Near Me - Shrub Oak, New York

I have been going to JV Hot for a while now, but unfortunately the last 3 times in a row they have messed up my order. My favorite breakfast sandwich is ham, egg, and Swiss, and I think they just don't listen when I order. Every single time they give me American cheese with whatever meat they're in the mood for, I guess. Service is ok. The bagels themselves are still great but I no longer go there for breakfast sandwiches. read more

I'm in love with the Bagel Emporium in Yorktown, but this place is pretty convenient for me (as far as location goes), so I decided to give it a try thinking that it *might* be just as good. Long story short, it was very disappointing. Apparently strawberry cream cheese doesn't require strawberries or anything strawberry flavored. I'm convinced that it was regular cream cheese with pink food coloring stirred in. I was so disappointed and grossed out (it just wasn't good at all) that after forcing myself to eat 1/4 (I didn't have time to stop anywhere else before work and had nothing else to eat) I tapped out and vowed to remain loyal to the Bagel Emporium. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Absolutely the most rude manager or maybe he's the owner. The staff are lovely but I feel sorry for them given his rudeness. read more

Maybe I was there on an off day, but I was unimpressed with this place. I was craving a bagel while in the area and went here based on the reviews. The service was lackluster - it was like I was interrupting their very important conversation by trying to make a purchase. I ordered an everything with cream cheese. Not enough cream cheese and the bagel seemed like it had been sitting out since the day before. Much harder than it should be if it was fresh from that day. I will definitely not be returning the next time I'm in the area. read more

Put in a order for 2 breakfast sandwiches on rolls. Waiting for 10 minutes for them to be ready and finally the employee said their out of rolls. Why couldn't they tell me when I ordered that they had no rolls instead of making me wait for 10 to fifteen minutes. Ended up going to bagel place on 202. read more

I wish I could give this dump a minus stars rating. The coffee sucks, the bagels are tasteless, the prices are too high and the staff needs lessons in customer service. I used to go there a lot and the place started to go downhill when it changed ownership a few years ago. My last visit was when they ripped me off for $6.00 on my gift card. The idiot working the register didn't know how to use my card for payment and wiped out my balance. When I asked to see the owner he said that there was nothing he could do about it. So for $6.00 he lost my business forever and I badmouth this place every chance I get. Do they still have that crabby, nasty woman working the counter weekday mornings? BTW, the photo in this review is of the JV Hot Bagels in Jefferson Valley. read more
