I'm native to the neighborhood surrounding the town center and as such I often find myself in this Panera when I'm grabbing a late lunch. Staff is pretty nice. Register people are usually in a more cheerful mood than I am, which surprises me because this sometimes seems like a very difficult place to work at. The food is terrible. The staff are terrible. The portions are ridiculously small for the price. There's a reason this Panera has such low reviews. I hope they just shut it down already. I'm over here all the time, and I'll never spend my money here again. Just a few examples: Tonight, I ordered online for pickup and they took my order and waited until I got there to tell me there was no bread. $20 for a tiny tiny salad where the dressing takes up half the container and a tiny soup. The bread was the most food and they accepted my online order when they didn't have any. The store is literally called Panera. Last time, my Greek salad tasted weird. Realized they put Asian dressing on it instead of the Greek halfway through. Glad I didn't have an allergy or I'd have had a good lawsuit. The bagels are terrible, always stale and overpriced for a place that doesn't even put the cream cheese on. I could go on and on, but I think I'll just save my money and never waste it here again. FOOD was good, service was good, and the ambiance is good. The way people sat and ate while working made the environment even more beautiful and cozy as if I was at my grandparents' house. The food delivery was fast and the food was good as well. I got the 2-step meal of French onion soup with the salad that had strawberries, oranges, blueberries, and chicken. When I first arrived I was attempting to use one of the kiosks which ended up not working! I waited not long for the other kiosk! I started using it but an employee needed to use it quickly with another customer before I started my order which wasn't a problem! I believe the worker was the manager! He was very gracious for letting them go first by offering me a free pastry or a free drink which was very nice! I got Panera with my friend for takeout, and had it delivered. We had some basic soups, kids mac & cheese and I think I ordered some kind of cool quinoa bowl with some avocado and amazing dressing. All I know is that we inhaled everything, the soup was amazing, broccoli cheddar for the win! The bowl I had I can't even remember what it was called and it probably was seasonal, but it was fantastic. So if they ever have some kind of avocado quinoa and sauce bowl, get it! I asked a broccoli cheddar soup in the bowl bread to eat there and they gave me the soup to go. I noticed that I could not make my dish because the bread need it to be cleaned inside to add the soup. I asked them to do it for me because they are using a gloves and they have the right tool for do that and they refused to do that. I will not return for this panera store. read more

The food is great and the prices are work-able, however the customer service could use a lot of improvement between employer and employee. When I went into the restaurant on 2/20 I was sitting in the dining hall and overheard a conversation between someone either by the name Pedro or Pablo (the name tag was unclear) and he was treating the cashier horribly, he was rude and disrespectful to the poor guy. The cashier was great! He took my order with a smile and friendly attitude, only to get reprimanded by one of the managers on staff. It completely ruined my experience and I assume the cashiers day too. I would recommend a refresher course on how to speak to humans for the manager! Completely uncool. read more

Say it ain't so! Paneras Corp, office sent us a message, lobster sandwiches would be available today. I called this location, they are part of a franchise group, which will not be participating in the lobster roll program this summer according to the woman who answered the phone. I love the salads, soups & desserts. My husband & sons only like some of the soups & desserts. The only sandwich they will come in for is the lobster roll & soup combo. They are not interested in the other sandwiches or salads. We have had a lot of wonderful lunches, dinners and conversations over past summers at this location. I will get my solo salad to go during the week. On weekends, we will get lobster roll sandwiches at other restaurants in Peekskill & Croton. We are so disappointed. I would have liked to give no stars to this poorly managed place. My husband and I went to Panera Bread one morning while waiting for a prescription from Walmart. We had 20 minutes before the script would be ready, so we thought to stop for a cup of coffee and an egg sandwich might kill the time. We were greeted by an older woman who was the cashier on duty. She recognized my husband and started talking poorly about a gentleman that is part of my family. When my husband who at this point was embarrassed told her that she was referring to a family member of mine, she stopped speaking, took our order quickly and never apologized. I found this to be over the top rude. Our order was simple, two egg sandwiches over easy with cheese. After ordering we went to sit down and couldn't find a clean table. Finally, I cleaned one myself with napkins. We waited for about 15 minutes before I went to the area where they were preparing food and asked what had happened to our egg sandwiches. The cooks were talking and said they weren't started yet. A while later the sandwiches arrived with the eggs scrambled and the cheese melted on top of the bun. That's right, you read that correctly, on top of the bun. We had waited so long I would have excepted the scrambled egg sandwiches but with the cheese melted all over the top we had to send them back. We told the runner that these were not ours. Our eggs should be over easy. And we also explained that the cheese on top of the bun would make it difficult to eat. He took the sandwiches back. We saw him speaking to the cooks, and again we waited another 20 minutes. So, once more I approached the prep area to ask what the hold-up was, and again the cooks were chatting. I said, 'excuse me can you tell me what is going on with the two egg sandwiches we ordered? Preferably with the cheese on the inside of the roll." The older of the two cooks asked me, "What egg sandwiches?" I replied, "We ordered two egg sandwiches over easy, remember? Where are they?" At that moment both I and the cook glanced over at the frypan and low and behold there are our eggs, black, burnt and swimming in a sea of grease frying away. I say, "Oh, would you look at that." The cook's response, "darn I forgot again." At this point, we asked the gossipy cashier to give us our money back. I will never go back into this crazy place again. read more

Went there yesterday(08/13/2017). BEFORE I entered, I was glad to see that they extended their hours til 9:00p.m. I was there at 8:00p.m. The worker behind the cashier was 1/2 dead barely acknowledging me. I was trying to pep him up, maybe after a long/bad day, with small talk. I was looking for something Red Velvet. All the pasteries were dried out chunks of dough with frosting. What is making me NEVER come back: FLIES all on those croissants etc. He paid it no mind. Where are we in a school cafeteria? Besides, their coffee being horrible(colored water) from day 1, I've had enough of trying them over and over only hoping for a SMALL improvement. Now, the small azz $1.05 macaroon that I bought was an easy purchase. He gave me the Spanish Inquisition as to where is my card for points etc. over a lousy $1 purchase?! I wanted to go the F home. Absolutely terrible location. It's as if corporate has gone out of their way to ignore any candidates for employment who have even a semblance of intelligence. Their signature trademark is getting orders completely and sometimes confusingly wrong. Service is hit or miss. Why so filthy? Why? Sitting next to a new manager who I told him if I were a manager I would take those couches and throw them out right now! Apparently he needs authorization. And agreed it was gross yet just sat there reviewing a corporate book.i also pointed out how the bench he was sitting on is filthy. His response is that he's only been here for 2 days and will fix the problem tonight. Yes this is what keeps customers from returning. Yes Paneras losing money but you keep doing paperwork. Of course with no other customers in front of me the sandwich I ordered was missing Avocado and the prep area is dirty. The stainless steel covers for the food prep area look horrible and dirty Am I nit picking? No. There is no excuse for filth in a food establishment .And no excuse for a Manager to sit and do paperwork 4 feet from 2 filthy dirt crusted armchairs.No excuse for an item to be missing on a sandwich when you have no orders up! read more
